Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

However, mere curiosity is useless; without clues, there’s nothing that can be done.

Therefore, Chen Ming could only temporarily put aside his curiosity about the spacecraft wreckage in orbit and first head to the planet to see if there might be any new clues there.

Chen Ming approached the atmosphere of the habitable planet below and, after passing through the atmosphere, once again activated the sensors of the Supreme Point to scan the planet.

In the scanning results, Chen Ming found traces of a few buildings right below the area of wreckage.

The entire planet is basically covered by dense vegetation, and this architectural zone is no exception.

However, most of the buildings have collapsed due to the growth of vegetation.

Only a group of large buildings that look identical on the outside still stand there.

Although many plants have climbed up the walls of these buildings, at least currently these groups of buildings have not collapsed.

After a simple, quick scan confirming no activities or dangers.

Chen Ming had the Supreme Point land nearby.

He wore his armor and, after disembarking, approached the cluster of buildings alone.

In front of the building at the very edge, Chen Ming saw a series of simple, closed roller shutters.

He reached out and repaired the already rusted roller shutter, then opened it.

The star’s light spilled into the interior of the building.

Allowing Chen Ming to see the unified style of metal plates filling the entire interior space of the building.

These buildings are warehouses.

Chen Ming closed the roller shutter and went to the neighboring building, similarly repaired, and opened a roller shutter.

The inside was the same, also stacked with metal plates of the same specifications, although the material was different.

He continued walking toward the inside of the building cluster, randomly opening a few warehouse doors, discovering each enclosed warehouse was filled with various metal materials.

All were the same-specification neatly arranged metal plates, satisfying OCD immensely.

As Chen Ming continued opening one warehouse door after another.

The warehouse he opened suddenly sounded an alarm.

He immediately abandoned the idea of entering the warehouse, preparing to face trouble and combat.

However, he waited outside for several minutes without encountering any threat or defensive measures from the warehouse.

His danger-sensing spiritual energy also had no reaction.

Chen Ming was somewhat puzzled.

But the situation at hand isn’t without explanation.

It’s that the defense system linked to the alarm has been damaged by infinite time.

So Chen Ming temporarily put away excessive vigilance and entered the warehouse that just triggered the alarm.

He couldn’t help but exclaim.

”Wow!”

Similarly, this warehouse was filled with metal plates of the same specifications.

But that’s not all.

The material of these metal plates is all special-level metal; this was a warehouse filled with special-level materials.

Their value could even surpass the resources spent by Chen Ming’s Pioneer Fleet to reach here.

At this moment, Chen Ming couldn’t resist the urge rising in his hands.

However, he still didn’t rush to actually take action.

After all, up to now he hadn’t seen anything that could potentially take these resources away.

And judging from the architectural style of these warehouses, they are definitely things left by the Shimmering Civilization.

Chen Ming feels there are two possibilities for the source of these warehouse materials.

One is that these resources were prepared a long time ago by the Shimmering Civilization for the early development of this area.

Based on Chen Ming’s understanding of the Shimmering Civilization’s resource abundance, it’s not impossible.

Combined with the situation when Chen Ming initially obtained the coordinates of the star system.

That is, Chen Ming acquired these location coordinates from a Shimmering Civilization-remnant satellite on Rimu Star.

This indicates a high possibility that these resources are intended for the pioneering progression from the star system where Chen Ming stands towards Rimu Star.

Speaking of which, Chen Ming suddenly recalled.

The satellite he discovered should also count as an inheritance of the Shimmering Civilization.

Although it was damaged, if preserved till today, he could attempt to repair this satellite.

Moreover, since the Shimmering Civilization satellite determined the coordinates for sending signals, it means the signals it sent must exceed the speed of light.

Otherwise, by the time the signal slowly arrived, the Shimmering Civilization’s expansion might have continued for hundreds or thousands of years.

This indicates that the technology content of that satellite is very formidable.

It’s an apparatus that can be used at the borders and abroad.

For the Empire to perform superluminal communications requires reliance on superluminal communication base stations; while the Shimmering Civilization’s satellite transmitted signals simply relying on the satellite itself without any similar attached devices.

So its value is undoubtedly not low.

However.

Chen Ming disassembled the satellite at that time, reducing it to basic materials.

Now, those materials should have already gone to space with the Iron Ore No.

So...

Chen Ming shook his head, casting aside thoughts of the past.

The Shimmering Civilization couldn’t have left just a few things on Rimu Star.

There must be better, more technologically advanced things elsewhere waiting for him to discover.

As for now, Chen Ming considers another possibility regarding the source of these materials in the Shimmering Civilization warehouses.
