Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Time flies.

After resolving his boss’s concern, half a year has swiftly passed.

During these six months, everything progressed in an orderly manner. Chen Ming smoothly completed his studies in ship technology, biotechnology, combat command technology, and various psychic knowledge.

The research progress on the Phase Giant Beast Clan Leader corpse transformation project is also quite promising.

The research group established by Chen Ming spent more than a month thoroughly understanding the state of the Phase Giant Beast corpse, gaining sufficient knowledge about the species.

Within the following three weeks, they completed the processing of the Phase Giant Beast Clan Leader’s corpse.

Useless organ tissues, such as the special digestive system for digesting Crimson substances and supplying Energy to the Giant Beast, or the brain which had died long ago and was slightly damaged, were comprehensively removed.

It was divided according to the contribution points made in the early research phase by different research institutes.

These things have great value for other research directions.

Useful organ tissues, such as muscles, bones, and various organs maintaining the life of the Phase Giant Beast itself, were partially restored to vitality under the power of the Insect Race, preventing complete decay.

Although under normal circumstances, the Phase Giant Beast only exists in Phase Space, and there are no natural microorganisms in Phase Space.

But for research needs, the corpse of the Phase Giant Beast Clan Leader needs to be intermittently brought back to the normal universe.

Naturally, some microorganisms that might lead to the decay of the corpse would be transmitted to Phase Space.

The research site for the Phase Giant Beast Clan Leader experiment is isolated from the outside, hence there’s no need to worry about trouble caused externally by microorganisms that can only be handled in Phase Space.

However, internal issues must be properly addressed.

Preventing decay is clearly the primary task.

As for some more important special organs on the Clan Leader’s corpse, like the long tendrils on the head and tail, and the patterns on the body that glow when the Giant Beast uses power.

These organ tissues are judged during research as the important source of power for the Phase Giant Beast. And after the Clan Leader’s death, these organs are gradually losing their power.

Thus, these special organ tissues were specially preserved after research by the Spiritual Ability Research Institute, utilizing the catalyst produced by the Catalytic Core studied by the Insect Race and Chen Ming, along with the Spiritual Energy of a Psychic.

Tests later confirmed that these operations ensured the integrity of the corpse’s Dimensional Power.

Ensuring the Phase Power of the corpse can still be used afterward.

As for the Crimson Power on the Clan Leader, it was wiped out by the power of Phase Space after its death, and no longer exists.

This impact isn’t significant, as Chen Ming would eventually find ways to append some necessary power onto the ship.

Currently, the progress of the Main Ship project has just completed the processing of the Clan Leader’s corpse.

We’ve just begun testing the next phase of ship foundation structure research direction.

The main design directions are now prepared.

And the main control system is the component that needs the earliest consideration for the ship.

It is the foundation for controlling all structures of the ship, particularly for a Main Ship whose own scale is immensely large, making it incredibly important.

And the computational power of the main control is one of the primary indicators for consideration in the main control system.

Compared to computers, the advantage of bio-brains is exceptionally clear here.

Therefore, a purely mechanical main control structure was not initially considered by Chen Ming.

However, as Chen Ming discovered at the earliest stages, the brain of the Clan Leader corpse was damaged, likely damaged after entering the Crimson Dimension.

This necessitates the manufacturing of bio-brains afterward.

Whether relying on the existing technology of the Empire to manufacture bio-brains or using the Insect Queen to manufacture bio-brains, followed by subsequent testing will take Chen Ming some time.

Especially during this time, there have been some new developments with Sample Zero.

Chen Ming suddenly had an impulse one day and fused the Personality Core ”Mechanical Queen” responsible for managing the colony at the Mechanical Race with Sample Zero.

Sample Zero, already a semi-mechanical, semi-biological existence, not only possesses the traits of an individual in the Insect Race but also the characteristics of a Mechanical Race unit.

Therefore, Chen Ming’s sudden experimental inspiration actually succeeded, allowing the already specialized Sample Zero, unlike the normal Insect Race, and even unlike the Insect Queen, to acquire ”Evolution”.

It became a new ”Insect Queen”, the Mechanical Race’s Insect Queen, a true ”Mechanical Queen”.

It can harness the power of the Personality Core, aiding Chen Ming in managing the Mechanical Race in a more flexible and ”human” or rather the ”humanity Chen Ming needs” way.

At that time, Chen Ming thought it wouldn’t be impossible to switch to a computer controlled by the Mechanical Queen.

But after considering another crucial issue,

Chen Ming still chose the bio-brain,

This crucial issue is the signal transmission issue.

Once the main control is established, the next problem in Main Ship design is the signal transmission line problem.

It was an important problem in the past when Main Ship technology was being developed.

In the initial plan for Chen Ming’s ship, mature line technology was intended to construct the signal lines.
