Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

But soon, with the research of the Phase Giant Beast clan leader’s corpse, Chen Ming found that the neural signal transmission efficiency of the Phase Giant Beast itself is higher than any known circuit.

Plus, Chen Ming had already solved the conversion problem between pure electrical signals and bio-electrical signals.

Therefore, his main ship could completely use these nerves to serve as signal transmission lines.

However.

Chen Ming discovered a faster way to transmit signals.

That was through the Insect Race nerves enhanced by the Insect Queen after absorbing the clan leader’s genes, which possess faster bio-electrical signal transmission speed.

Sufficient to replace the clan leader’s nerves.

Only, the nerves that the clan leader has are definitely the most suitable for its own body, perhaps using a bit of enhancement to trade off adaptability is not a suitable choice.

At that time, almost all the research personnel involved in the research at Chen Ming’s lab argued endlessly over these two choices.

In the end, it was Chen Ming who decided to use the Insect Race to solve the nerve or signal line problem.

Normally, Chen Ming would surely be criticized by those supporting the use of the clan leader’s original nerves.

But ultimately, everyone agreed to Chen Ming’s decision without any objections.

Because the Insect Race allows the already fast signal transmission efficiency to be improved beyond the limits.

That is by utilizing the hive mind.

The existence of the hive mind allows signals to achieve full synchronization during transmission, eliminating the need for the transmission process.

It is precisely because of this situation with the Insect Race.

Even the Mechanical Race can eliminate the signal transmission process by using the hive mind after Chen Ming merged sample zero with the Mechanical Queen, giving the Mechanical Race a real Mechanical Queen.

But currently, neither the Empire nor Chen Ming has developed a signal line comparable to biological nerves.

So when there is an adaptable choice, the ship’s main control system ultimately chose the insect brain, and the signal lines opted for the nerves manufactured by the Insect Queen.

Although the internal signal transmission of the ship can rely on the hive mind, some less important areas can also utilize the Insect Queen’s nerves.

This is the current development progress of the main ship.

Just these have already taken Chen Ming half a year.

And there are still numerous issues waiting for him to deal with, such as energy sources, engines, armor, weapons, and more.

Thinking about it makes Chen Ming somewhat troubled but also excited.

He honestly hasn’t felt any challenge in doing things for a while.

This aspect of research, where spiritual energy can only play a supporting role, is exactly something that allows him to fully immerse himself, making him feel life is incredibly fulfilling.

The research on the main ship will certainly take a long time.

But Chen Ming is not only busy with the main ship.

Besides the progress on the ship, he has also made significant strides in his personal abilities.

His power has fully integrated, and he has been continuously acquiring strength from the Crimson Dimension during this time.

Judging from the intensity of power alone, his spiritual strength has more than doubled compared to before.

However, he appears less and less like a Psychic.

Because ordinarily, he is more restrained, without any display.

He no longer needs to show off his power within the Empire, and no one comes to provoke him anymore.

Except for some required uses of spiritual energy, such as when his projects need to test some spiritual ability technology for the main ship.

At other times, other people can hardly see that he is a Psychic.

He has passed the time of needing to be flamboyant.

He needs to settle down.

Moreover, since his synthetic body ability has been exposed, whether synthetic or not means nothing to him, he no longer needs more synthetic bodies to hide anything.

So he concurrently replaced all synthetic bodies, except for An Wuping, with robots.

Leaving a main body with a normal human appearance to operate outside, which has been continuously updated during this period.

This can also lessen the impression that Chen Ming relies on An Wuping to manufacture biological synthetic bodies.

Eliminating the extremely small possibility that others might associate An Wuping with himself due to these synthetic bodies.

Besides.

Some other events have happened over these six months.

Due to the Mechanical Race’s combat capability being completely collapsed, the Empire is exceptionally smooth in the warfare.

Chen Ming has heard of many war achievements praised by civilians at different times and places.

And matters related to the Psychics are increasingly revealing to the perspective of ordinary people.

With the Empire’s prior groundwork and the morale boost brought by the current advantages in Empire and Mechanical Race warfare,

The existence of Psychics is really gradually integrating into the Empire’s society.

Negative situations also exist.

Some places are extremely disgusted with the existence of Psychics, indifferent to the Empire’s promotion of them.

Perhaps due to influences left by past or historical crimes committed by some Psychics.

But these are ultimately only a minority.

Psychics will surely be able to truly appear in the public view soon.

Moreover, there’s good news.

Chen Ming’s previous effort in creating the Black Mist Insect Race was not in vain.

After Chen Ming’s explicit reminder, the Empire indeed discovered signs of Zuo Jing’s activities around some high-level personnel domestically.
