Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

He initially thought it was something that occurred during combat and was pondering what kind of weapon could cause a high-temperature attack on several main ships.

He even suspected whether it was damage caused by the method once used by the Mechanical Race to teleport stellar material.

But the actual situation turned out to be this.

Inside this mechanical being, there is a massive furnace, and the heat it emanates affected some of the wreckage.

Additionally, Chen Ming noticed a large number of mining robots around this giant mechanical being, using it as a platform for landing and takeoff, storing ores, and transporting the refined metal plates to the planet below.

This mechanical being—hundreds or thousands of times larger than a main ship—was the furnace for automatic mining robots.

It had returned to the star system after receiving an alert.

Yet for some reason.

It did not attack directly.

Instead, after observing in space for a while, it suddenly sent a signal to Chen Ming’s cruiser.

Chen Ming quickly tried several different methods to decode the signal.

He soon discovered it was a series of characters written in the language of the Shimmering Civilization.

Chen Ming had studied some of the Shimmering Civilization’s language over the past six months, so he could translate the message himself.

And the translated content was a request for Chen Ming to provide an identity verification code.

So this was indeed something left behind from the Shimmering Civilization.

As for the authority, Chen Ming certainly didn’t have it, but he also didn’t need such authority.

This giant mechanical being was a mechanical creation, and as long as it could be controlled, anything was possible.

Metallic liquid instantly appeared in Chen Ming’s palm.

But before taking action, he hesitated for a moment.

Is this thing considered a main ship...

Although this mechanical being seems very powerful, making it the first main ship seems like a loss...

Yet this thing, whether it’s considered a robot or a ship integration, doesn’t have good synergy with Chen Ming’s own strength.

At least it absolutely won’t be as good as a main ship based on the corpse of a Phase Giant Beast Clan Leader, and which he studied and manufactured bit by bit.

Moreover, whether its real combat power will surpass the main ship that Chen Ming ultimately builds is a big question.

While size is related to combat power, they aren’t the same thing.

This thing’s body should just be some mechanical apparatus, merely mounted with many wreck ship and main ship parts, and while it looks imposing, its actual combat power...

However, upon careful consideration, this mechanical being shouldn’t be accounted as a main ship since its mounted parts are from main ships, right?

No problem.

Chen Ming felt he could sense carefully during the control process, and if there was an issue, he could halt the control progress.

No way he would really control the first main ship.

Nevertheless, Chen Ming still chose not to directly control this giant mechanical being.

This decision wasn’t solely due to the questions he had just pondered, but also because of another reason.

He suddenly recalled something.

Back when he obtained the laboratory database of the Resurrection Mechanical Fluid relic.

Chen Ming remembered that after controlling the entire laboratory, he discovered a special recognition code that could be identified by all the laboratory’s defensive facilities and research facilities.

Although Chen Ming didn’t know the significance of this code, using it in this situation might have an effect, right?

Thus, Chen Ming prepared on two fronts.

He sent the recognition code over and also readied the metallic liquid to be transmitted next to the giant mechanical being at any time.

He was prepared to take direct action should a problem arise.

The giant mechanical being was silent for a moment, then suddenly returned a message to Chen Ming.

The translated content was: Authority verification passed.

Really?

Chen Ming was a bit surprised but, upon thinking about it, considering the laboratory researched something as significant as the Resurrection Mechanical Fluid, it’s not out of the ordinary for this code to have authority over the mechanical being before him.

Subsequently, this giant mechanical being completely transferred its authority to Chen Ming.

Chen Ming also learned its name from here.
