Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chen Ming didn’t care either. However many Giant Level spacecraft there are, they pose no real threat to his Insect Race.

His Insect Race isn’t like Dimension Infection, which needs to slowly develop.

”Do you have early concept drawings?”

”Yes.”

The director of the Ship Research Institute casually took out a terminal and sent Chen Ming a concept drawing.

At first glance at the concept drawing, Chen Ming couldn’t help but exclaim, ”So big.”

Having just witnessed the size of the Scavenger and that Black Hole creature, the magnitude of this thing speaks for itself.

”It is quite large, and its temporary name is also Giant Level.”

”I know the Giant Level freighter.”

”The Giant Level freighter is a Cruiser Level spacecraft, this Giant Level is above Cruiser Level and Main Level.”

”I know.”

Chen Ming casually said, continuing to look at the concept drawing.

The Giant Level on this concept drawing doesn’t have any excess devices whatsoever.

It only possesses the thickest ship armor Chen Ming has seen to date, the ship’s structure and the strongest shield, as well as the highest power engine.

Combined with a weapon provisionally named Earth-Bursting Celestial Star, it holds strong deterrent power.

But it is a ship type specifically used for destroying planets.

It doesn’t have actual combat performance.

Not in line with Chen Ming’s requirements.

Even if such a Giant Level is manufactured, it’s highly probable that it would be destroyed before approaching the creature in that Black Hole.

It feels somewhat inappropriate.

Seeing Chen Ming’s somewhat disappointed expression.

Being extremely proficient in the advantages and disadvantages of the Giant Level, the director of the Ship Research Institute immediately took out a blueprint more detailed than the Giant Level concept drawing.

”Actually, there’s another type of ship already in production stage, Titan Level.”

”This is a standard combat spacecraft, currently intended to be used as the flagship of the Main Ship fleet.”

”Because of what you said about the Mechanical Race, the Empire is preparing to use ships for larger scale wars.”

”Though the material strength and such are completely inadequate, I estimate it would take a dozen years to produce a sample.”

”But the weapons on this level already exist.”

”?”

Chen Ming asked, ”The ship hasn’t even come to fruition yet, how are the weapons already available?”

”Because Titan Level weapons can be installed on Space Stations.”

”The Space Stations have enough volume, enough Energy, just right for using these weapons.”

”From Fan Chao Research Institute?”

”Yes, because the Empire has this demand now, so Fan Chao is moving quickly.”

”You know the Mechanical Race is playing hide-and-seek with us, causing many of our Space Stations to potentially be targeted all the time. As long as we can install these weapons, along with the Patrol Team, temporarily defending is definitely feasible.”

Chen Ming hasn’t recently paid attention to the Mechanical Race war.

Because he finds the Mechanical Race war to be pointless.

He’s taken most of the benefits for himself; the only thing worth his attention is Cheng Xinghai.

No need to focus on this when there’s idle time.

The director knows Chen Ming is a busy man, not just with various research matters but also outside affairs, so it’s normal not to know.

He then explained to Chen Ming and proactively said, ”If you need it, I can adjust one for you right now.”

”Okay, as soon as possible, this thing also counts as a nice target; if I accidentally destroy it, there might not be a chance to test.”

”Alright.”

The director of the Ship Research Institute didn’t ask Chen Ming for rent or any guarantees. They’ve done this quite a few times.

Anyway, Chen Ming would return the data for everyone to research together.

Early on, Chen Ming would take the initiative, but after this give-and-take has happened several times, the process has been streamlined.

This is now a sort of mutual understanding between Chen Ming and the Empire.

At this point, the director of the Spiritual Ability Research Institute, who had been observing the creature in the Black Hole for a long time, suddenly spoke up, ”I’m very interested in this thing, can I personally go over and take a look?”
