”Hey~ Wake up already. Don’t sleep, you’ve got a guest!”

After waiting for a while and seeing that the flame still showed no reaction—continuing to snore away—Wei Yang couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly and call out.

No vigilance at all... This thing must’ve gone stupid from being locked up for too long. Seriously, he wasn’t some random nobody. He was a dignified Ban Sheng, for heaven’s sake. How could he not even feel the slightest threat from that?

His voice echoed slowly across the vast, silent space. Finally, the rhythmic breathing of the golden sun paused—and stopped. Then, it’s perfectly round body stretched slightly to the sides, as if it were... stretching after waking up?

Wei Yang was speechless.

”Mm... how long have I slept? Who calls for me?”

A voice filled with majesty yet carrying a faint warmth—along with a touch of grogginess—drifted out from within the golden sun.

Wei Yang’s face twitched.

That voice... that tone... was exactly like Light Emperor’s!

”A human?!” The golden sun trembled slightly upon seeing Wei Yang, as if startled awake. Then, silence.

It seemed to be observing him. Wei Yang also stood quietly, staring back at it. Then—

”Human, where do you come from? Why have you trespassed here?” The voice carried a faint trace of agitation.

”You guess.”

Another long silence followed.

Then, the golden sun’s brilliance surged violently, becoming far more intense. The temperature of this entire space instantly skyrocketed several fold. Inside the blazing sphere, a vague yet immensely towering figure slowly took form—cross-legged, majestic, and commanding awe.

An overwhelming and irresistible aura spread outward like a tide. The vast space trembled violently beneath that pressure. The grand figure slowly lowered its head, and a pair of golden eyes opened, their light piercing through the golden sun as they gazed down upon Wei Yang.

”I have slumbered for countless ages... and now, upon awakening, has the world truly forgotten my existence?”

That solemn voice resonated throughout the space, vast and majestic, half like a question and half like a murmur to itself.

”You stand before the Emperor—why do you not kneel?”

”Emperor?!” Wei Yang’s mouth twitched, his voice rising slightly in pitch.

His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the vague yet towering figure within the golden sun. If he hadn’t just recently met Light Emperor himself, he might actually have believed it.

Too similar. Far too similar!

That aura, that pressure—it was practically identical to Light Emperor’s. How could a Heavenly Flame mimic it so perfectly? That was the aura of an Emperor—how could it be imitated so casually?!

For a brief moment, he truly thought Light Emperor had returned.

Unbelievable!

”Before the Emperor, you should kneel and pay respect in reverence. Why such insolence?” The voice carried faint displeasure.

The vast, unmatched pressure descended slowly, pressing down upon Wei Yang’s head.

”May I ask, what is the Emperor’s name?” Wei Yang frowned slightly, resisting the pressure as he spoke calmly.

Strangely enough, even though he knew it was merely a Heavenly Flame, he still felt a faint illusion that he truly could not resist it. This flame... might be even more abnormal than he thought.

Was it really just a high-level Ban Sheng? Or had he misjudged earlier?

No rush. Let’s see where this goes.

”Insolence! Before the Emperor, you not only lack reverence but even dare to question my name?”

The towering figure’s tone turned harsh, its golden gaze radiating a divine might that was nearly unbearable to face. Yet Wei Yang lifted his head and met its gaze directly, without the slightest hint of fear.

Still acting, huh?

”Hmph... it seems I have slept for far too long. So long, that the world has already forgotten me.”

The grand figure suddenly sighed faintly, carrying a hint of melancholy.

”Very well. I shall forgive your rudeness... this time.”

Then, in a calm, detached tone, it declared, ”Junior, listen well. My name—Yang Emperor!”

”...?!?” Wei Yang froze.

Wait—fine, it was bad enough this thing copied his form, but now it was stealing his title too?!

You call yourself Yang Emperor?

Then what the hell am I supposed to be called from now on?!

Damn it.

This was intolerable.

Absolutely intolerable!

This flame actually dared to snatch his future title right in front of him!

An Emperor’s title carried great cause and effect—it wasn’t something that could be thrown around casually!

Wei Yang’s eyelid twitched violently as fury rose in his chest. He couldn’t be bothered to keep humoring this act any longer.

”You flame... how outrageously arrogant. Die!”

Boom!

In an instant, endless black light burst forth as a black sun rose slowly into the sky. The black sun blazed fiercely, radiating pure destruction and dominance.

The moment it appeared, its dark radiance instantly pushed back the golden glow, splitting the heavens into two halves—black and gold, side by side in opposition. At that instant, two suns—one golden, one black—hung high in the air, clashing for supremacy.

Crackle!

Bolts of lightning and arcs of energy tore through the space, splitting the air with thunderous cracks. For a brief moment, time itself seemed to loop—like a replay of when he first met Light Emperor.

Hiss!

Golden and black lights collided, devouring each other endlessly, neither giving way. The already furnace-like space boiled over completely.

The air burned. Everything burned.

Golden and black flames twined through the air, devouring each other in a deadly dance. Yet unlike Light Emperor’s path of radiant light, this golden sun—though mimicking his form—lacked his warmth and vitality.

It was fierce, tyrannical, pure yang, pure destruction—capable of burning even the void itself. In that sense, its nature was much closer to the black suns—both walked the path of annihilation.

The Gold Emperor Incinerating Heavenly Flame, famed for its ability to burn even Dou Qi and reduce the void to ashes, truly lived up to its terrifying reputation. Thus, when these two Heavenly Flames clashed, it was like oil meeting fire—erupting into utter chaos.

Neither side yielded. Both blazed madly, their radiance overwhelming, colliding in unrestrained fury.

”Presumptuous junior! How dare you insult the Emperor! I shall grant you death—your soul scattered, never to reincarnate!” the majestic voice thundered.

Wei Yang sneered. ”Noisy! You’re nothing more than the fourth-ranked Heavenly Flame—did you really think I didn’t know your origin? A mere high-level Ban Sheng dares to call himself Emperor? You’re still a hundred thousand miles away from Emperor Flame, and you dare put on airs? What, planning to make me laugh to death?”

”Grant me death? Deny me reincarnation? Hahaha! What is this, have you been reading too many web novels? Or did isolation make you stupid?”

”Arrogant insect! I have merely slumbered too long—my full strength not yet recovered! When I was at my peak, could you, a puny human, even imagine my power?! Ant, you are doomed!” The golden figure’s composure cracked, and it began shouting in fury.

”Hahaha! Look at that—you’re already losing your temper? Where’s all that imperial dignity now?”

Wei Yang shook his head with mock pity. ”The highest level of acting... is when you not only fool others—but even fool yourself. You’ve been trapped here so long, day after day, year after year, feeding your delusions until you actually believed them. You really think you’re an Emperor now? Truly pathetic.”

”Silence, insect!” the golden figure roared, and the surface of the golden sun blazed even more violently, its flames surging skyward.

Wei Yang laughed coldly. ”A Heavenly Flame with the strength of a high-level Ban Sheng—impressive, sure—but still not enough to touch me. Ranked fourth or not, you’re far from my level. And you dare call yourself Yang Emperor?”

”Utterly delusional.”

”Black Sun Calamity!”

Boom!!!

The black sun’s power erupted wildly, its radiance surging forward and forcing the golden light back step by step.

”AAAHHH! Don’t underestimate this Emperor!”

The golden sun roared in fury under the pressure. The grand figure vanished, unable to keep up the pretense any longer.

”Golden Flame Burns the Sky!”

Golden light exploded as the Gold Emperor Incinerating Heavenly Flame ignited completely, setting half the heavens ablaze as if the void itself were melting away.

Without its fake ”Emperor aura,” its pressure fell sharply back to that of a true high-level Ban Sheng. But its unleashed power—pure, unrestrained flame—was even stronger than before, barely managing to resist the Black Sun Cataclysm.
