After resting for two days and relaxing a bit, Wei Yang once again began his seclusion, entering the stage of the fourth turn. With seventeen Dou Saint Bone Marrows supporting him as his foundation, the process went quite smoothly—energy was in no short supply.

In the dark void, a faint black cocoon of light hovered silently, pulsing gently like a beating heart.

All around it, streams of faint crimson, fiery energy currents were being drawn in, flowing endlessly into the cocoon. The surroundings once again fell into deep silence, as though it had been this way since ancient times.

Time flowed quietly like water.

In that stillness, more than two years passed in the outside world. At a certain moment, the faint black cocoon trembled slightly. Then, with a soft ”pop,” it shattered and turned into countless specks of light that dispersed into the air.

Inside sat Wei Yang, cross-legged.

From the day he entered the Ancient God’s Cave Mansion until now, it had been nearly three years. His appearance was exactly the same as it had been three years ago—no changes, no traces of time. The passage of three years hadn’t left the slightest mark on him.

At this moment, his aura was extremely restrained, without the faintest leakage. Yet, when he opened his eyes, that pair of black eyes burning like twin suns gave off an overwhelming sense of pressure—

Blazing. Majestic. Domineering.

In fact, within that gaze, there was now an indistinct but extraordinary presence. He exhaled slowly.

”Seventeen Dou Saint Bone Marrows consumed, most of the Dragon Emperor Blood Crystal used up... finally, I’ve reached the peak of the Nine-Change!”

Wei Yang slowly rose to his feet.

Instantly, with his movement, the entire stretch of void beneath him trembled and rippled gently. The very space seemed so fragile that it looked as though a single thought of his could shatter it entirely—it could no longer withstand his aura. Clenching his fists tightly—

”This feeling of power... damn, it feels amazing!” Wei Yang murmured softly, eyes closed, immersed in the sensation. That vast surge of energy flowing within his body—

Peak of the Nine-Change!

An unprecedented sense of power filled him, making him feel as though with just a casual punch, he could shatter this dark space itself. Even the strength in his body seemed eager to burst forth, itching for release. But very soon, he suppressed that dangerously tempting thought.

He couldn’t act recklessly!

Zhu Kun’s lesson was still right there for him to see—what was he, a mere Dou Zun at the peak of the Nine-Change, showing off for?

In front of the massive bronze door, the meditating Zhu Kun—who had his eyes closed in deep rest—was also stirred by this faintly spreading aura. He opened his eyes, first glancing at the still-slumbering Zi Yan, then turned toward Wei Yang’s direction.

”So, he’s reached the peak of the Nine-Change,” Zhu Kun’s brow lifted slightly.

”His body, his Dou Qi... both are impressive. At this level of power, he could probably threaten some ordinary low-level Ban Shengs!”

”With such a solid and terrifying physical foundation... is this kid really human?” Zhu Kun muttered with a hint of surprise.

Curiosity flashing in his mind, for the first time in three years, he grew genuinely serious and fixed his gaze on Wei Yang.

A faint trace of purple-gold light flickered quietly within his eyes. With just one look, Zhu Kun’s eyes narrowed as he thought to himself, ”No, something’s off. There’s something strange about this kid’s bloodline... I knew it.”

He chuckled and shook his head. A normal human— even one with Dou Di Bloodline—could never possess such a monstrous physique. At the same realm, this level of physical strength far surpassed even that of ordinary Ancient Void Dragons by more than a notch.

How could a human bloodline possibly achieve that?

Even cultivating a special Heaven Grade body-refinement technique wouldn’t result in something this terrifying at his level.

Moreover, if it were indeed a body-refinement technique, Zhu Kun would’ve easily noticed the difference—there’s a clear distinction between a naturally powerful body and one strengthened through external cultivation.

”Such a domineering bloodline... it carries lightning and flame attributes, destructive in nature. Not bad at all.”

After observing for a while, Zhu Kun finally spoke up, ”Wei boy, what kind of bloodline flows in your body?”

Wei Yang turned his head toward him and smiled apologetically. ”Did I wake you, senior?”

The overwhelming aura around Wei Yang instantly receded.

Swish!

With a single step, his figure flickered like teleportation and appeared before the massive bronze door. His gaze first fell on Zi Yan, still resting quietly, before turning to Zhu Kun with a faint smile. ”The bloodline within me belongs to the Hou.”

”The Hou Bloodline... so that’s what it is.” Zhu Kun was briefly stunned, then nodded in realization.

”A very ancient existence—long extinct. I didn’t expect its bloodline to have survived till now. You’ve got some good fortune, brat.”

”Just luck, really.” Wei Yang smiled lightly.

After all, it was only thanks to the power of the Life Spirit Flame that he had managed to revive the vitality of that drop of blood essence.

Otherwise, if it had fallen into anyone else’s hands, it would have been useless—eventually losing the last trace of life and turning into waste. Of course, that excluded the Elder Shen Nong.

”Daring to fuse such ancient magic beast blood essence into your body... that’s not something mere luck can explain.”

Zhu Kun shook his head slightly, sighing with admiration. ”This bloodline really suits you perfectly. You even fused a Heavenly Flame into your bloodline, didn’t you? No wonder your talent is so monstrous.”

”Nothing escapes Senior’s eyes,” Wei Yang replied with a grin.

”Since you carry the remnant bloodline of the Hou, such a heritage makes you... well, at least somewhat worthy of my Ancient Void Dragon Clan.” Zhu Kun muttered under his breath.

”Eh? What did you say, Senior?” Wei Yang blinked in confusion.

”Ahem, nothing.” Zhu Kun quickly coughed and changed the subject. ”I can sense you’ve already reached the threshold of the Ban Sheng realm. Why not take the chance to make a push and attempt the breakthrough?”

”And your soul... it’s already half a step into the Heaven Realm. Becoming a Ban Sheng shouldn’t be that difficult for you.”

Wei Yang sighed helplessly. ”I don’t have enough resources left, so I had to give up. I’ve exhausted nearly everything I had— even the Blood Crystal Senior gave me is half consumed.

Trying to break through in this state without sufficient energy support and relying solely on absorbing the world’s energy... who knows how long that would take? So, I decided not to rush.”

”I see.” Zhu Kun nodded slightly. ”A pity. The heart blood I’ve condensed is also running low, and I have to keep some for Zi Yan in case of emergencies. I can’t offer you anymore.”

”Senior jests. Even if you had more, I wouldn’t dare to ask again.” Wei Yang quickly waved his hand.

That was the blood essence of one’s heart—taking it once was already a huge favor. To ask again would truly be shameless. Hearing this, Zhu Kun chuckled.

If Wei Yang really had the nerve to ask again, Zhu Kun might have given it for the sake of repayment—but he certainly wouldn’t feel too happy about it.

”So what are your plans now? Leaving?” Zhu Kun asked. ”My daughter will still need about another one or two years before she wakes.”

”Another year or two?” Wei Yang frowned slightly. ”I still have things to do, so I can’t wait that long.”

Zhu Kun seemed to have anticipated that answer.

He nodded, then flipped his palm, producing a jade pendant shaped like a dragon. Handing it to Wei Yang, he said, ”If you encounter dragons from the Eastern Dragon Island asking about Zi Yan’s whereabouts, show them this. They’ll understand and won’t trouble you.”

”Understood.” Wei Yang accepted the jade pendant and put it away.

He had made a promise with Hei Qing three years ago—to personally return Zi Yan to the Ancient Void Dragon Clan. Now that three years had passed, if he met Hei Qing again without this pendant, he really wouldn’t have a good explanation.

”Are you leaving now?” Zhu Kun asked again.

”No, I’ll make another breakthrough first, then leave,” Wei Yang replied.

”Another breakthrough?” Zhu Kun raised his brow, taking a light breath. ”You mean...”

”Mm.”

Wei Yang grinned, flipping his hand to reveal a rough wooden box. ”A breakthrough in my soul. I always felt something was missing before—didn’t have enough confidence. But now, it feels about right. My soul power is nearly overflowing, and with this Gold-Grade Soul Baby Fruit as an aid, there shouldn’t be any problem.”

”Gold-Grade Soul Baby Fruit? Hah, kid, you really do have all sorts of treasures.” Zhu Kun couldn’t help but let out a laugh.

”A Heaven Realm Soul... you’ve reached this point while only at the peak of the Nine-Change!”

Even the steady and composed Zhu Kun couldn’t help but sigh in amazement. He waved his hand dismissively. ”Go on then—go farther away to break through. Don’t disturb me here.”

”Alright.” Wei Yang smiled. With a flicker of his figure, he disappeared into the depths of the dark void, settling down cross-legged.

He understood Zhu Kun’s concern—breaking through to the Heaven Realm in soul cultivation caused tremendous commotion. The fluctuations would be uncontrollable and might affect Zi Yan.
