**

”Light Emperor, what a coincidence. My son, Wei Ye, has just turned seven this year, and he too possesses a Pure Yang body.” Wei Yang said with a faint smile.

”Oh?” Light Emperor looked deeply at Wei Yang, his expression half amused.

Wei Yang’s face remained calm. At a time like this, there was no need to pretend. What should be fought for, must not be given up.

Are you kidding? This was an Emperor!

A being who left behind a mere remnant thought, waiting through endless years, just to pass something on to later generations — if you don’t fight for it now, when will you?

With his hands clasped behind his back, Light Emperor gazed at Wei Yang and spoke slowly. ”Enough idle talk. My time is limited. Once this remnant thought is awakened, it will soon dissipate from this world.”

”Let me witness it — your Power of Yang Destruction, and also your Power of Life and Death. Let me see if the endless years my remnant has waited are worth it!”

As he spoke, an indescribable force began to spread from his body.

”Light Emperor, you wish to test this junior?” Wei Yang raised his head, meeting the Emperor’s gaze directly. A hint of excitement appeared on his face. ”Then I shall not decline your offer.”

Light Emperor gave no reply. His body simply began to glow.

A faint golden sun slowly enveloped him. Just like when he had first appeared, a soft golden radiance spilled down from above.

This light was gently warm but not blinding, like the first dawn breaking through the darkness, giving a sense of warmth and vitality.

Seeing this, Wei Yang could not help but feel a surge of excitement. To witness the path of an Emperor — the power of an Emperor — was a rare opportunity indeed.

Moreover, this was another interpretation of the Path of Yang — one of warmth and life.

”Then this junior shall act without restraint.”

Without further hesitation, the figure formed from his soul power slowly rose into the air. With a thought, faint black light burst forth, and a dark sun appeared above him.

In that instant, two suns hung high in the sky.

One was pale gold, vast and righteous, radiating warmth and vitality. The other was pure black, fierce and blazing, emanating endless destruction. The two vastly different suns occupied half the heavens each, vying for brilliance.

Twin suns crossed the sky, and the light they emitted collided in the air!

Chi chi chi~

The golden radiance and the black glow — both of Yang nature — clashed violently, like incompatible forces of water and fire, colliding in the void, fighting for dominance.

Neither yielded, and as they annihilated each other, a faint sizzling sound echoed through the air. This vast, mysterious space was instantly filled with boundless light — one golden, one dark.

The brilliance from the two suns split heaven and earth in two, each side becoming its own absolute domain.

One radiated warmth and life.

The other emanated endless destruction.

From afar, it looked like an immense, unmoving black-and-gold Taiji symbol, stretching across the entire sky. The clash of their forces soon reached a balance. No — rather than a battle, this was more like an exchange.

Or perhaps it was better to say, a senior showing a junior his own path — his understanding of the power of light.

Neither of them used Dou Qi, only a trace of soul power as a medium to demonstrate. This was not a fight to the death, but a presentation of each one’s path.

”My path, is Light! Light dispels darkness, bringing illumination and life to the world. All living things, all existence — none can exist without light!”

”This... is my path!”

Light Emperor’s voice resounded through the world, vast and magnificent.

The golden sun flared brighter, its radiance sacred and overwhelming. His path, like himself — majestic, upright, righteous. It swept away all darkness and evil, bringing endless light, warmth, and life to the world.

”My Path of Yang is Destruction — ultimate destruction! To burn all things in existence!”

Wei Yang’s expression grew solemn as he spoke slowly. The black sun blazed even brighter, its glow sharp and piercing.

Crackle—!

Endless lightning and arcs of energy spread alongside the black light, embodying the extreme meaning of thunder and fire — utter annihilation. The black sun blazed as if to destroy the world, to reduce all things to ash.

Completely different from the golden sun before it. Then, both of them fell silent, continuing only to demonstrate their understanding of the Path of Yang. Through this ”clash,” they sought to comprehend each other’s path.

Both slowly closed their eyes.

Time flowed by little by little.

No one knew how long had passed. Until finally—

”Yang not only brings light and life, but also heat and destruction. All things, even Yang itself, have two sides. When pushed to the extreme, all things reverse.” Light Emperor murmured softly, as if speaking to himself.

”Just like a forest and a desert — sunlight brings thriving life to the forest, yet endless scorching heat to the desert.”

His tone carried both enlightenment... and a hint of regret. His senses spread outward, carefully observing the two opposing forces that filled the vast space like a massive black-gold Taiji diagram.

Within it, he saw something even more profound. From the collision of these two opposite Yang-type forces, a strange new power was born.

This power appeared at the boundary where the black and gold lights met emerging for a fleeting moment before vanishing, only to be reborn again, endlessly repeating in a cycle of creation and dissolution.

”So this... is the power even stronger than that of an Emperor? The direction in which the Emperor must advance...” Light Emperor sighed inwardly, a mix of joy and regret flickering in his heart.

”After all these years, I wonder if my true self has realized this... or found this power?”

This power was of an even higher level — a force that transcended Dou Qi itself!

”Solitary Yin cannot give birth, and solitary Yang cannot grow. Yin and Yang are two sides of the same coin... it seems the path I’ve chosen is correct!”

A sudden clarity rose within Wei Yang’s heart. His entire mind and spirit sank into a wondrous state of enlightenment.

”The sun brings endless vitality to the world... yet it also brings endless destruction.”

”Lightning is the same — within destruction lies a trace of life.”

”As the saying goes, ’The path gives birth to fifty parts, yet one is hidden.’”

”When thunder strikes a tree, even dead wood may sprout again. When wildfire burns the plains, the spring breeze will bring life anew.”

”Thunder and flame... embody both destruction and life. Life and death.”

He had already touched upon the Power of Life and Death before — a mere glimpse of its essence. But now, in the presence of Light Emperor’s pure light of Yang, his understanding deepened.

Gradually, the black sun began to change. A faint trace of green quietly appeared, spreading slowly across its surface. Within the endless darkness, a shimmer of green light emerged.

Destruction now carried within it a breath of life. Little by little, the black sun seemed to divide in half — half black, half green. Destruction and vitality coexisted, merged into one.

Even the vast black domain split into two hues — black and green. Instantly, the balance of the black-gold Taiji was broken, transforming into three colors: black, gold, and green.

In contrast, the black-green sun hovering in the sky now appeared like a rotating Taiji diagram of black and green. Then, the black-green Taiji began to spin slowly.

Wuuu~

The rotation grew faster and faster.

Soon, its outline became blurred, the black and green colors mixing together, indistinguishable from one another. Light Emperor silently watched, his eyes intent, faint traces of anticipation glimmering within them.

As the rotation speed increased, something strange occurred — the black and green became distinct again.

It was like a car’s wheel hub: when it starts to spin, it looks blurry, but when it reaches a certain speed, its outline appears clear again, as if motionless. Such was an illusion caused by speed — a remnant of vision.

Yet to cause that kind of illusion even for someone like Light Emperor, who could perceive every grain of dust in motion — it showed just how fast the rotation had become. Finally, amid that dizzying rotation—

At the edges of the black-green Taiji, thin wisps of strange, grayish mist began to emerge.

”It’s here!” Light Emperor’s eyes gleamed, his spirit lifting. ”This power — the Power of Life and Death!”

The mysterious gray airflow grew thicker, spreading outward.

Gradually, it filled the entire Taiji diagram. The black and green colors faded, replaced by a soft, ashen gray. Before long, a gray Taiji symbol floated in the sky spinning swiftly yet appearing utterly still.

It looked like a gray sun, suspended high above. Even its radiance had turned gray. That aura... gave off a strange feeling — seemingly harmless, yet incomparably dangerous.

Chi chi chi~

The gray light was domineering, spreading rapidly through the space, forcing the pale golden radiance to retreat little by little.
