**

A moment later, the middle-aged man swiftly returned.

Behind him followed an elder in a blue robe, whose hair was tinged with white, and a beautiful woman dressed in a red gown.

Wei Yang opened his eyes, his gaze sweeping over the newcomers.

The elder’s chest bore no golden star or crescent moon emblem. Instead, it was marked with a cauldron symbol, upon which two silver ripples gleamed with a noble radiance.

As for the beautiful woman, she appeared to be in her early twenties, tall and curvaceous, with an alluring, mature charm that made her exceptionally captivating.

Ya Fei.

Wei Yang’s lips curled into a faintly amused smile before he lost interest and retracted his gaze.

Ya Fei, upon entering, caught the subtle shift in Wei Yang’s expression. Her brows arched slightly as a flicker of displeasure arose in her heart.

This brat actually dares to ignore me? ”Lost interest?”

The middle-aged man respectfully introduced, ”Sir, this is Master Gu Ni from our auction house. He is a three-star Da Dou Shi and also a Tier 2 alchemist.”

He then gestured toward Ya Fei and continued, ”This is one of the persons in charge of our auction house, Miss Ya Fei.”

The blue-robed elder, Gu Ni, gave a slight nod, while Ya Fei offered Wei Yang a warm yet reserved, elegant smile.

Wei Yang responded with a casual nod, then pointed at the jade bottle on the table. ”Begin.”

Gu Ni’s face was flushed with excitement. Although his blue robe appeared simple, a faint glow rippled across its fabric, indicating its exceptional material and likely enhanced protective properties.

His seemingly ordinary elderly face carried a hint of concealed arrogance—an aura characteristic of every alchemist. His gaze subtly scanned Wei Yang but failed to discern anything unusual.

The middle-aged man carefully picked up the jade bottle from the table and handed it to Gu Ni.

Gu Ni accepted the jade bottle, took a light sniff at its opening, and his aged eyes narrowed slightly. A glint of surprise flickered within them before he gently removed the lid.

Instantly, a rich medicinal fragrance spread through the air.

All three present—Gu Ni, Ya Fei, and the middle-aged man—had their eyes light up at the scent.

Gu Ni cast a quick glance at Wei Yang, his expression becoming more solemn. He tilted the jade bottle, allowing a light blue, round pill the size of a longan fruit to roll into his palm.

Just from its fragrance and appearance, Gu Ni and Ya Fei subtly exchanged glances, both inwardly nodding in agreement.

Holding the pill between his fingers, Gu Ni carefully examined it. A few moments later, he nodded, his expression carrying a trace of admiration as he exclaimed, ”This is a Tier 3 Qi Recovery Pill, and its quality has reached top grade!”

Ya Fei and the middle-aged man’s expressions flickered upon hearing this.

A Tier 3 pill... and top-grade quality?

This was not something an ordinary Tier 3 alchemist could refine.

Gu Ni cautiously placed the pill back into the jade bottle and resealed the lid. When he looked at Wei Yang again, there was already a hint of respect in his gaze. ”Young Master... ah, no, Sir, may I ask if this pill was refined by you?”

”Oh? Are you questioning the origin of my pills?” Wei Yang countered calmly.

”Uh...” Gu Ni was momentarily speechless before hurriedly shaking his head. ”Not at all, I was merely curious.”

”Sir,” Ya Fei’s voice rang out, sultry and delicate, carrying a seductive charm that could make one’s bones soften. She gracefully took a seat on a nearby chair, facing Wei Yang with a bewitching smile. Her voluptuous, perfectly proportioned curves were on full display.

Smiling, she said, ”Master Gu Ni was only curious, nothing more. Please don’t be offended. Our Mittel Auction House has never revealed nor deliberately inquired about our customers’ information. You may rest assured on that matter.”

Wei Yang’s gaze briefly swept over Ya Fei’s alluring figure.

Well, if she’s putting it on display, it’d be a waste not to appreciate it.

As expected of a vixen.

After silently appraising her in his mind, Wei Yang withdrew his gaze, his expression remaining calm.

Ya Fei’s charming eyes narrowed slightly.

Damn it, this is the third time!

From the moment he entered, this brat had already ignored her three times!

Her heart was filled with a mix of defiance and an odd sense of intrigue.

The first two times, his gaze had been indifferent, barely sweeping over her as though she was invisible.

But just now, it was purely appreciation.

Yes, just pure appreciation.

The young man’s gaze was clear—completely devoid of any lust or desire.

This unsettled Ya Fei. Was her charm... diminishing?

”The origin of the pills is none of your concern, and I have no interest in explaining,” Wei Yang stated flatly.

With a flick of his wrist, more jade bottles appeared on the table—over a dozen of them.

”These are all Tier 3 pills.”

”There are both ordinary and top grades. Take a look first. If there are no issues, we can discuss our cooperation.”

”What?!”

Faced with the sudden appearance of more than ten jade bottles, the three of them were all utterly shocked.

Ya Fei immediately straightened her posture, suppressing all emotions. Her chest heaved slightly as she fixed her gaze on the jade bottles spread across the table, her breathing becoming slightly hurried.

Including the top-grade Qi Recovery Pill from earlier, there were a total of seventeen jade bottles.

Seventeen pills?

All of them Tier 3!?

Such generosity—this was an enormous fortune!

Master Gu Ni was also deeply astonished. His expression grew solemn as he picked up a jade bottle with slightly trembling hands, looking at Wei Yang in disbelief. ”These... all of them are Tier 3 pills?”

Obviously.

Wei Yang closed his eyes, too lazy to respond.

...

”This is Wind Walking Pill. After consumption, it temporarily increases movement speed... Its quality is slightly better than ordinary.”

”This is Mind Awakening Pill, which allows the user to become more sensitive to the world’s energy while cultivating, greatly enhancing their energy absorption rate... top grade quality!”

”This is Qi Recovery Pill, which quickly restores Dou Qi... top grade quality!”

Master Gu Ni carefully inspected each of the more than ten pills.

Then, he slightly bowed and cupped his hands. ”Sir, I have thoroughly examined them. There are no issues with the pills.”

At this moment, Ya Fei’s gaze toward Wei Yang had become misty and filled with rippling brilliance. Due to her excitement, her fair face had turned slightly flushed, and even her slender, pale neck showed a trace of rosiness.

This was a big shot!

Any dissatisfaction she had earlier had long been thrown out the window. Ya Fei lightly bit her lips, her beautiful eyes blinking, displaying an expression as if she wanted to speak but hesitated, looking at Wei Yang with admiration.

Wei Yang, however, remained composed, eyes focused on his nose, nose focused on his heart, silently reciting the Clear Heart Mantra in his mind.

Demoness, you will not seduce me!

Ignoring Ya Fei’s slightly resentful gaze, Wei Yang said, ”Let’s talk about the cooperation.”

”Oh, right.”

With a flip of his hand, Wei Yang took out another jade bottle and casually tossed it to Gu Ni. ”Here’s another one. I almost forgot.”

Gu Ni fumbled to catch the bottle, exclaiming in surprise, ”Be careful!”

”Young Master, may I ask what this is?” Ya Fei personally poured a cup of tea and handed it over, her gentle voice carrying a hint of flattery.

”Qi Gathering Pill, a Tier 4 pill,” Wei Yang replied casually, taking the teacup and sipping it lightly.

Hmm, not bad. This was high-quality Mao Jian tea. I should buy some to take back later.

Ya Fei’s pupils shrank, and her slightly parted lips revealed her shock.

Gu Ni’s hand trembled even more, nearly dropping the jade bottle.

Tier 4... Qi Gathering Pill!?

Naturally, another round of examination followed, and the result was, of course, flawless.

Although this Qi Gathering Pill was only of ordinary quality, it was still a Tier 4 pill!

”Let’s talk about the cooperation,” Wei Yang said as he placed down the teacup.

”Of course.” Ya Fei’s expression turned serious. ”Young Master, you need not worry about the pricing. You are surely aware of the strength of our Mittel Auction House.”

”With our extensive network across the empire, we can undoubtedly sell this batch of pills at a price that will satisfy you.”

”Even a 30% premium is not out of the question,” Ya Fei said confidently.

When it came to selling and the strength of their auction house, she was extremely self-assured.

”I naturally trust the strength of the Mittel Clan,” Wei Yang nodded.

”For this batch of pills, how about we take only 5% commission from you?” Ya Fei offered with sincerity.

Normally, auction houses charged around 10%, or one-tenth, of the selling price as commission.

For Ya Fei to directly offer 5%, it was clear she was taking a huge risk.

Master Gu Ni frowned slightly, hesitating to speak, but he was quickly silenced by Ya Fei’s warning gaze.

”Alright.” Wei Yang nodded in satisfaction. ”With the money from the sales, I’d like you to acquire some medicinal herbs and magic cores for me. I only want Tier 3 or higher—preferably Tier 4 or above. Any kind will do, but the rarer and more valuable, the better.”

”No problem.” Ya Fei agreed without hesitation, feeling excited.

Acquiring herbs and magic cores?

This deal would also go through their auction house, and they might even handle it internally.

A win-win situation!

”However, Young Master, I hope you understand that we will need some time to arrange this.”

”I understand.” Wei Yang stood up. ”That settles it. Go draft the contract. I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll return in three months.”

”Oh, and one more thing—the tea I just drank, get me some of it. Deduct the payment directly from my share.”

”There’s no need. It’s just a little tea,” Ya Fei said with a charming smile. ”Consider it my gift to you, Young Master.”
