Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Villa completedTwo more days passed, and the workers finally completed the entire Villa.

After Lin Feng inspected it and confirmed everything was in order, they quickly packed their belongings and left the Magic Beast Forest.

For commoners like them, this place was simply too dangerous; even with the guards arranged by Kuze, they still felt uneasy.

”I never thought it would be built so quickly. The Magic World is truly amazing.”

Lin Feng secretly marveled as he looked at the 400-square-meter Villa built by the lake.

The Villa here was not constructed with steel and concrete like in modern times.

This Villa appeared more rustic, with a garden in the front yard and a small pier built in the back, perfect for fishing when one had nothing to do.

As for the number of floors, since Lin Feng was the only one living there, it only had two stories.

However, even so, this Villa could easily accommodate ten or eight people without any problem.

After wandering around the Villa, Lin Feng felt that this place was quite good, and he might as well live here from now on, as it wasn’t far from the Elevator.

Lin Feng thought to himself.

”Oh, right, Qin An should be in the Elevator now. I should ask him where exactly he is.”

The reason Lin Feng was so sure Qin An was currently in the Elevator was that for the past two days, the Elevator had inexplicably stopped working again.

It hadn’t randomly refreshed floors for two days, ever since the day he left the bizarre hotel.

He remembered the system hadn’t said anything about destroying floors when he left, had it?

Could it be that the Elevator’s consciousness had an annual leave and was on vacation now?

Lin Feng thought with a touch of mischief, and soon he arrived at the Elevator, finding Qin An’s avatar in the chat box.

Lin Feng: [Anzi, do you know your location on the permanent floor? A more specific location.]

On the other side, Qin An replied almost instantly, probably because he had nothing better to do.

Qin An: [Specific location? How would I know? I’ve been on the permanent floor for so long, and I haven’t even encountered a single living person. Damn it, I even got the language proficiency of the permanent floor from one of the floors before, and I thought I would meet the natives of the permanent floor soon, but I still haven’t met a single human.]

Lin Feng couldn’t help but smile as he watched Qin An complain to him.

Lin Feng: [Then you should expand outwards more, preferably out of the forest. If you see any landmark information, let me know.]

Qin An: [What, are you going to come find me?]

Lin Feng: [If it’s close, I’ll come visit you. I just got a map of the permanent floor.]

Qin An: [OK, I’ll go out and explore more in a bit. Oh, there’s something I need to tell you.]

Lin Feng: [What is it?]

Qin An: [Regarding the truth of Blue Star, do you think we should spread this news now? After all, there’s strength in numbers...]

Lin Feng: [There’s strength in numbers, indeed, but you know very well that those who learn the truth will be hunted by Cleaners after returning to Blue Star, and Cleaners become stronger with stronger opponents, plus their omnipresent nature. Do you think Seekers who learn the truth can return alive after going back?]

Lin Feng: [Forget about others, take Song Ce, who was second. His strength, if he went back, he probably wouldn’t make it back. Do you think everyone is as lucky as you?]

It had to be said, Lin Feng truly admired Qin An’s luck. Last time, when he returned to Blue Star, he was clearly in a desperate situation but was unexpectedly saved by a Seeker who was stranded on Blue Star exploring the truth.

If Lin Feng had such luck, he wouldn’t even use the Elevator or stairs when going out; he’d just open the window and jump down. Don’t ask, just say his luck was strong enough.

Qin An: [You have a point, I was indeed too eager. But Song Ce is not second anymore; I am second now, and Song Ce is fourth.]

Lin Feng: [Oh? What kind of serendipitous encounter did you have?]

..........

After chatting for a while, Qin An set off to find landmarks and Towns.

Lin Feng wasn’t particularly surprised by Song Ce’s drop in rank. After all, Song Ce’s chosen path was to enhance his strength through machinery and technology, which were ultimately external tools with limited potential, only offering significant help in the early stages.

In the later stages, unless Song Ce encountered more powerful technology, further upgrades would be useless.

............

At this moment, on the Blue Star floor, Song Ce was nervously hiding underwater. Thanks to his organ modifications, he could now decompose oxygen from the water to breathe.

However, none of this was the main point. The main point was that he knew the truth of Blue Star, and he was currently being hunted by someone who looked exactly like him.

The most crucial thing was that this person was omnipresent and stronger than him.

”Damn it, I don’t believe you can find me even if I hide underwater.”

No sooner had Song Ce finished speaking than a clownfish swimming by him suddenly distorted, its body patterns gradually changing color, and the next moment, the Cleaner appeared in its place.

”What?!”

Before Song Ce could be shocked, the Cleaner’s hand automatically detached, revealing a harpoon inside.

Because Song Ce’s strength came from technology, the Cleaner naturally transformed into a technologically modified human.

Whoosh!

The harpoon flew rapidly towards Song Ce, with a red light flashing at its tip.

Song Ce, possessing the same attack methods, knew all too well what this was and quickly activated his propulsion device to dart aside.

”Damn it! What exactly are you?!”

”Cleaner, to clean your existence.”

The Cleaner, looking exactly like Song Ce, said expressionlessly, then activated its thrusters and sped towards Song Ce.

At this moment, Song Ce, who was fleeing for his life, unexpectedly realized that this person calling himself a Cleaner not only looked exactly like him but also seemed to have the exact same attack abilities. Did that mean his weaknesses were also the same?

Song Ce secretly thought to himself. Currently, the only way to get rid of this Cleaner was probably to try and find its weaknesses. If others didn’t know his weaknesses, he certainly knew what his own weaknesses were, didn’t he?

So, Song Ce made a bold decision. He suddenly turned around, and his right hand transformed into a hook.

At this point, the Cleaner was rushing towards Song Ce, so the two collided directly.

Screech!

The hook extended by Song Ce was firmly lodged under the Cleaner’s left armpit, which was Song Ce’s weakness.
