Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

The role of beacon points“The guards are so lax, even chatting idly. It seems like anyone can just walk in and out.”

Lin Feng thought to himself, if he emptied out the armory of this base, wouldn_t he strike it rich again?

Upon reaching the entrance, Lin Feng discovered that entering the armory was not as simple as he had imagined; a clearance from a military officer of rank three or above was required.

(The military officer ranks in this world range from one to nine.)

“Since there’s no way to get in, then… my apologies.”

No sooner had Lin Feng finished speaking than the four guards at the entrance vanished in the blink of an eye.

Lin Feng had, in less than a second, killed all four guards and stored them in his System Space.

This was the power of having all four main attributes exceed one thousand. (With Spirit Qi added, the four main attributes broke through to over one thousand.)

After dealing with the guards, he successfully entered the armory.

The armory was not very large, only about a thousand square meters.

Mechs and other heavy weapons were not stored here.

Here, there were only guns, ammunition, grenades, rocket launchers, man-portable air-defense missiles, and so on.

After collecting everything into the System Space, Lin Feng immediately set off for the next armory.

The exact location of another armory was right by the entrance.

He wanted to complete all of the System’s tasks before the Soldier in the base could react.

Upon arriving at the next armory, Lin Feng repeated the same routine as before, then entered the armory and began to loot.

“Damn it, where are the mechs? Why isn’t there even a single laser weapon? This is trash. Forget it, forget it. To complete the System’s task, I’ll take everything.”

This armory was not much different from the last, so Lin Feng didn’t look closely and simply loaded everything into his System Space.

He then searched for a long time for the hangar where the mechs were parked. However, with only half an hour left, Lin Feng finally had no choice but to go assassinate the high-ranking military officers first.

As for the mechs, if he couldn’t find them, then he couldn’t. After all, the System hadn’t required him to find them.

The conference room was inside a large building, and there were no restrictions on entry or exit. The conference room was located on the third floor.

After taking the Elevator to the third floor, Lin Feng immediately dealt with the two patrolling Soldier in the hallway without a word.

Bang, bang, bang!

After killing the Soldier, Lin Feng knocked on the conference room door.

The discussions inside immediately ceased, and a man in a shirt opened the door.

“Is there something you need, Soldier?”

“Of course, Officer.”

Lin Feng smiled. The next moment, a spirit sword appeared out of thin air, directly impaling the military officer in front of him.

The military officers inside the conference room had not yet figured out what was happening when flying swords began to slit their throats one after another.

However, at the last moment, one military officer still managed to press the alarm.

In an instant, all the Soldier in the base gathered below the building.

“Ding! Congratulations, Host, for completing the mission. Rewards have been issued. Please check.”

“Return to Elevator.”

After completing the mission, Lin Feng had no intention of continuing the slaughter; it was meaningless apart from gaining a few gold coins.

..............

“System, why are the missions you issue like something a villain would do?”

Back in the Elevator, Lin Feng casually picked up a piece of beef jerky from the kitchen, took a bite, and smacked his lips as he spoke.

Although he knew the System probably wouldn’t reply, Lin Feng just wanted to complain.

“Ding! Host will understand in the future.”

“Huh? You replied to me? That’s rare.”

Lin Feng sighed, and seeing the System go silent again, he helplessly pouted.

“Why does the beef jerky 101 made taste so bland? Doesn’t he know I like spicy food?”

“But it smells pretty good.”

Lin Feng picked up another piece of beef jerky and put it in his mouth, chewing.

It smelled good, but it was too tough.

“Sir, what are you eating?”

Just then, 101 returned from the permanent floor, followed by Little Dragon and Ben Shu. Clearly, the three of them had just been playing outside for a while.

“Uh, the beef jerky you made.”

Lin Feng held up the dark beef jerky in his hand and said.

“Squeak! Squeak! How dare you steal Ben Shu’s snack! What crime deserves such punishment!”

“Your… snack????”

“Ow!”

“Yes, Sir, you ate the wrong one. But don’t worry, this beef jerky is also edible for humans. This is the spicy beef jerky prepared for you, your favorite flavor.”

101 explained while pulling out another plate of beef jerky from a kitchen drawer.

“Pfft! Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey!!”

Lin Feng spat out the crumbs from his mouth with a look of disgust, then returned the beef jerky to Ben Shu.

“You little guy, you didn’t add anything else to it, did you?”

“Please rest assured, Sir. It’s just plain dried beef, with not too many seasonings added.”

“Hmm, no wonder it was so bland.”

Lin Feng picked up another spicy piece and put it in his mouth, then nodded in satisfaction. Spicy was his favorite.

Ben Shu, seeing that Lin Feng was ignoring him, was very displeased. He scrambled over to his own beef jerky and took a fierce bite to vent his anger.

Little Dragon definitely had snacks too, as 101 couldn’t possibly be biased.

His snacks were individual carbon-grilled beef ribs, but this guy could eat two or three at once.

What 101 made wasn’t even enough for Little Dragon.

“Right, with my late-stage Golden Core cultivation, why do I feel no change?”

Lin Feng suspiciously opened his attribute panel.

[Name: Lin Feng; Random Attribute Potion increased by thirty points

Gender: Male

Strength: 980;

Speed: 1001;

Agility: 980;

Constitution: 1040;]

Only the four main attributes had changed, each increasing by one hundred points compared to before.

However, Lin Feng had not felt any fluctuations when he broke through.

Perhaps it was because this cultivation was raised by the System.

Lin Feng, not taking it to heart, went to the Elevator screen to see what the permanent floor beacon point was.

[Permanent Floor Beacon Point: You can place a beacon point at any location on the permanent floor. Once placed, you can directly teleport to the beacon point’s location via the Elevator. Currently owned beacon points: 1.]

After reading the description, Lin Feng’s face immediately lit up with joy.

Not long ago, he was still wondering how to make the Elevator move its position so that it would be more convenient for him to visit Kuze in the future.

He hadn’t expected this problem to be solved so quickly.

Currently, with only one beacon point, Lin Feng decided to place it near Kuze.

If he acquired more in the future, he could also install one in the Polar Mountain Range.

For now, Lin Feng only thought of these two locations, which were also his two main destinations on the permanent floor.

“Let’s go set up the beacon point near Kuze first.”

After reading the usage instructions, Lin Feng immediately set off for the town.
