Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Side effects of forbidden spellsThis time, Lin Feng didn’t take the books that the Three Brothers had already translated, because he realized that Kuze seemed unable to keep up with the sheer volume of books he was taking.

Several of them hadn’t even fully understood the first book yet, so it was better not to put too much pressure on him.

They needed to take it slow; if they rushed too much, what if Kuze’s fragile mind couldn’t handle it and he gave up?

Lin Feng still hoped to see a laser cannon in the Magic World during his lifetime.

”Young Master Lin Feng, you’re here. Young Master Kuze isn’t home; he’s returned to his family.”

”Hmm, it’s fine. I’m here to find Tina. Is she here?”

”Please follow me.”

Miss Lina nodded and then walked ahead to lead the way.

”Oh, by the way, is Sylvie doing well? She hasn’t caused any trouble, has she?”

”Little Sister Sylvie is very obedient, but Young Master Lin Feng, what’s with the scars on her body? Could it be you...”

Miss Lina said cautiously. Sylvie slept with her every day, so she naturally knew about the scars on Sylvie’s body.

Miss Lina had asked about them, but Sylvie, whether out of fear or something else, just wouldn’t say.

”Do I look like that kind of person? I rescued Sylvie from a few good-for-nothing young masters.

Oh, where is she?”

As soon as Lin Feng finished speaking, crisp footsteps sounded in his ears.

Sylvie, dressed in a pure white dress, was running towards Lin Feng.

”Master~”

Sylvie’s voice held a hint of a spoiled tone. She carefully opened her arms, and only after Lin Feng nodded did she embrace him.

”Alright, go play. I still have things to do.”

After hugging the girl, Lin Feng let her go. He was here to learn magic this time, and with time tight and tasks heavy, he couldn’t be delayed by other matters.

After all, Tina was very difficult to deal with.

...............

”Young Master Lin Feng, Miss Tina seems to be studying a Forbidden Spell in her room.

Would you like to go in a little later?”

Miss Lina heard the sounds coming from inside the room and quickly backed away several steps, speaking with a hint of fear.

She remembered the last time she came to bring Tina snacks, and Tina happened to be studying a Forbidden Spell.

Miss Lina, unaware, directly pushed the door open.

Then she became Tina’s guinea pig, with all sorts of strange magic being thrown at her.

Although there was no real harm, being turned into a ragdoll one moment and a beast-eared girl the next—who could stand that?

”Alright then, you go busy yourself. I’ll go in when it’s quiet inside.”

Lin Feng nodded, sent Miss Lina away, and at the same time began to consider what to give Tina this time.

Last time, Lin Feng gave her two pairs of exquisitely made stockings and a pile of cosmetics before she was willing to teach him the defensive Forbidden Spell.

What should he give this time?

Lin Feng thought with a worried frown.

He truly didn’t understand women’s thoughts, especially those who had messed up their brains by studying Forbidden Spells.

So, what to give this time, Lin Feng really couldn’t make up his mind. Should he just give her a few clothes?

Just as Lin Feng was frowning in worry, the room quieted down.

He knocked on the door, and a cold female voice came from inside.

”Come in.”

”Sister Tina~”

Upon seeing Tina, Lin Feng immediately smiled and approached her.

”Eh? Maple, what’s wrong? Did you encounter anything you don’t understand with the Forbidden Spell you learned last time?”

Lin Feng’s mouth twitched slightly when he heard this new nickname for himself.

When did he get a new nickname?

Forget it, forget it. For the sake of learning Forbidden Spells, Maple it is.

”No, that Forbidden Spell was too simple. Do you have anything more difficult? Preferably something with stronger attack power.”

”Oh, you’re here to learn a new Forbidden Spell from me.

Let me tell you, don’t even think about it.”

Tina decisively shook her head. She already regretted delving into Forbidden Spells herself, so how could she harm others?

”I’ll give you four more pairs of stockings, and this time, they’ll be white ones!”

Lin Feng’s eyes darted around as he spoke, because after entering the room, he noticed that Tina was wearing the black stockings he had given her last time on her legs, which seemed to indicate she liked them quite a bit.

”No, you must know that learning Forbidden Spells has side effects.

To be honest, I even regret delving into Forbidden Spells now.

I don’t want to harm anyone.”

Tina sighed, saying that she used to be a lively and cheerful girl, but now she looked as if someone owed her money every day, glaring at everyone as if they were enemies.

Even her forced smiles looked very unsettling.

Of course, this wasn’t the main side effect.

The biggest side effect was that learning Forbidden Spells would consume lifespan.

That’s why they were called Forbidden Spells, after all.

Learning one or two was fine, but Tina had mastered eighteen Forbidden Spells.

She was only 25 years old now and could only live for ten more years at most.

All Magisters who actively studied Forbidden Spells knew about this side effect, but they couldn’t refuse the temptation that Forbidden Spells brought.

Seeing that Lin Feng still couldn’t give up, Tina was ready to reveal this side effect to make him give up.

Who knew that after Tina finished explaining the side effect of cultivating Forbidden Spells, Lin Feng became even more excited.

Reduced lifespan??

Bro, I’m a cultivator, so how could my lifespan be reduced?

Reduced lifespan be it. It’s just a few decades of life. The life-extending fruits he bought from the elves last time had already given him enough lifespan.

”Are you really sure you want to learn Forbidden Spells from me??”

”Aren’t you afraid of only having a little over a decade left in your life?”

”Not afraid. After all, if these ten-plus years are spectacular enough, that’s fine too.”

Lin Feng smiled slightly.

”Hmm... you’re right. Alright, then I’ll teach you an offensive Forbidden Spell.”

Lin Feng was immediately overjoyed upon hearing this.

He learned a Forbidden Spell so easily this time??

The defensive Forbidden Spell magic Lin Feng learned last time was called Demon Shield, and this time, the offensive magic he learned was called Punishment Spike.

When casting, it could summon an unlimited number of spikes.

As long as your mental power wasn’t exhausted, you could keep summoning them.

Lin Feng was also very fond of this magic.

If he just learned this magic, wouldn’t he be invincible?

However, Lin Feng didn’t have an intuitive sense of the spikes’ lethality.

According to Tina, if one mastered this Forbidden Spell, even a Magisters would have to tuck his tail between his legs if he didn’t have corresponding defensive magic.

”Alright, these are the incantations. They might be a bit complex. Feel them with your heart, take your time.

If you’re fast, you should be able to initially master them in two or three months.”

”Two or three months?”

Lin Feng frowned upon hearing this.

Two or three months? By then, the day lilies would be cold.

”Do you mean like this?”

Saying that, Lin Feng clasped his hands together, slightly closed his eyes, and the air around him also began to fluctuate.

Soon, tiny black spikes appeared.

Tina, who saw everything, covered her small mouth in disbelief.
