Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Flying boat, floors are temporarily refreshedThree days later, Lin Feng had been cultivating in the Virtual Training Field for three full days. After breaking through to the Golden Core Stage, he no longer needed to eat intentionally; he could completely replenish his body’s energy through spiritual qi.

Eating was now merely to satisfy his cravings.

The reason Lin Feng hadn’t gone to a new floor these three days was that the Elevator hadn’t refreshed his floor when the time came.

”It’s already the third day.”

Lin Feng exited the Virtual Training Field and checked the time; it was exactly noon.

The system still hadn’t given a floor prompt, and the Elevator hadn’t broadcast any message.

Initially, Lin Feng thought he was the only one in this situation, but after asking a few people, he discovered that everyone had encountered the same problem.

As for the reason, no one knew, and the Elevator broadcast didn’t provide an explanation.

The three days of free time had also relaxed many people, but Lin Feng, scrolling through the chat room, was thinking about something else.

He wondered if the system destroying a floor was why no new floors had been refreshed these past few days.

”Oh! That’s right, Kuze should be going to the Polar Mountain Range today, shouldn’t he?”

Lin Feng slapped his forehead, then quickly left the Elevator and flew towards the town.

After three days of cultivation, Lin Feng had successfully advanced from the early Golden Core Stage to the middle Golden Core Stage, and the spiritual qi in his body was even more abundant.

As for his attribute values, there wasn’t a significant increase; each of the four attributes only increased by eighty points.

Two hours later, Lin Feng rushed all the way to Kuze’s courtyard.

At this time, Kuze had just finished equipping himself and was about to lead the expedition team to the Polar Mountain Range again. Seeing Lin Feng, he seemed a bit surprised.

”Brother Lin, you’ve come at just the right time. I’m about to go to the Polar Mountain Range to search for treasures. How about it, want to come along?”

”Sure, I also need to make a trip there.”

Lin Feng nodded.

”Haha, you’re free this time! Luckily you didn’t go last time; we climbed the snowy mountain for half a day and got nothing. This time, don’t worry, with our family’s airship, ascending several thousand meters is not a problem.”

Kuze proudly patted the oval-shaped vehicle beside him.

It looked quite sci-fi, like a small spaceship, but it was powered by magic crystals. Most people couldn’t afford it; the cost of flying one hundred kilometers was equivalent to a commoner’s living expenses for a month.

”Alright, then when do we depart?”

As Lin Feng spoke, he used a scanning gun to scan the airship.

It was made of metal, so it should be quite safe.

”We’re about to leave. Once all the supplies are loaded into the airship, we can depart.”

No sooner had Kuze finished speaking than several people carried box after box of supplies into the airship’s storage compartment.

The airship was very large, no smaller than a bus.

However, it could only seat twelve people.

After all, this thing was only for the wealthy, so the internal configuration was naturally very high. It couldn’t possibly cram forty or fifty people like a bus, could it?

Who would buy this thing then?

With the supplies loaded, Kuze led Lin Feng into the airship and walked all the way to the rearmost private compartment.

This compartment was for the owner, while the front seats were for the accompanying servants, now the expedition team’s positions.

The private compartment not only had a bed but also a row of large sofas, as well as drinks, entertainment cards, and board games.

Besides Lin Feng and Kuze, there were also three maids to serve them.

It was very proper service, just pouring drinks, playing games, and passing the time.

..................

The airship’s speed was also very fast and very stable, with no noise at all.

It only took one day to arrive near the Polar Mountain Range.

”Young Master Kuze, the airship’s heating system has been activated. Should we increase altitude now?”

The airship’s co-pilot came to inquire.

”Ascend.”

Kuze checked the situation outside through the observation port and nodded.

Seeing that they had arrived at the Polar Mountain Range, Lin Feng put away the playing cards in his hand and went to the observation port to look out.

The current altitude should already be over a thousand meters, and nothing on the ground could be seen due to the heavy snow.

”Young Master Lin Feng, would you like something to eat? You haven’t eaten in a long time, it seems.”

The maid who had been playing cards with Lin Feng brought a plate of small cakes and asked with some concern.

”Oh, okay.”

Lin Feng was startled. Because he was already at the Golden Core Stage of cultivation, he hadn’t felt hungry at all during this time, so he had forgotten to eat.

After being reminded by the maid, he suddenly remembered that he hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for four days now.

”Cultivation is truly good,” Lin Feng mused.

”That’s right, Brother Lin, you haven’t eaten anything all day, not even a sip of water. What’s wrong with you?”

Kuze asked with a puzzled expression.

”It’s nothing. I’ve recently been researching a new item. After eating it, I can go seven days without eating or drinking...”

Before Lin Feng could finish speaking, Kuze immediately blurted out the catchphrase Lin Feng had taught him.

”Holy crap! There’s such a good thing!?”

”Can you let me finish? This thing has side effects; after eating it, you’ll have diarrhea for three consecutive days.”

Lin Feng looked at Kuze, quite speechless. This pill was naturally the bigu pill he had previously purchased on the Trading Floor.

However, the Cloud Mountain Sect’s alchemy book also contained the recipe for the bigu pill, and it had no side effects. If he had the materials, he could try refining a few.

”Is that so... Then never mind. When you manage to remove the side effects, you must give me some!”

”Alright, alright, don’t worry.”

Just then, the airship suddenly shook violently.

Kuze quickly went to the observation port to check and discovered that the airship was already surrounded by Polar Guardian Flying Bats.

These flying bats were continuously crashing into the airship, which caused the violent shaking.

”Activate the Magic Crystal Cannons!”

At Kuze’s command, three dark, hollow muzzles extended from each side of the airship.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang!

Magic energy continuously surged in the air, instantly shooting down thousands of flying bats.

Lin Feng: ???

Playing with cannons in the Magic World?

”Brother Kuze, since you have these, why are you still researching lightning staves?”

Lin Feng asked, somewhat puzzled. If there were magic crystal cannons, there must be magic crystal guns, right?

Wouldn’t that be like a staff that casts instantly without consuming magic power?

”What? You mean the magic crystal cannons?”

”Uh, yeah.”

”Brother Lin, do you know how many magic crystals it costs for a single volley from these six cannons?”

Kuze said with a bitter smile.

Seeing Lin Feng shake his head, he slowly extended a finger.

”One magic crystal worth one thousand empire gold coinss.”

”This time, to explore the Polar Mountain Range, I spent five million empire gold coinss buying magic crystals. Do you think anyone can afford this?”

”That’s true...”

Lin Feng couldn’t help but feel a bit ashamed upon hearing the price. It was indeed quite expensive.
