Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Card Draw SurvivalWhen the Trading Floor closed, Liu Ping and the Three Brothers also worked overtime to complete the translation of the first book.

During these ten-plus hours, Lin Feng had been immersed in the Virtual Training Field. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to break through, Lin Feng had no choice but to temporarily give up on cultivation.

As for where the problem truly lay, Lin Feng wasn’t very clear.

Could it be because he was directly elevated from zero foundation to the Foundation Establishment Stage by the System at that time?

”Sir, one book has been translated. Please take a look.”

Just as Lin Feng was utterly perplexed, 101 walked over with the translated book.

After flipping through it and confirming there were no issues, Lin Feng immediately set off to find Kuze.

The Trading Floor had just closed, and it wouldn’t refresh until the next twelve o’clock, so Lin Feng still had a lot of free time.

Three hours later, he successfully arrived in the town. By then, Liu Ping and the others were nowhere to be seen, likely busy translating books for Lin Feng.

Liu Ping’s stinky tofu was gone, which made Kuze miss it greatly; he even proactively came out onto the street to look for it.

Lin Feng also encountered Kuze on the road outside Qinghe Inn.

Upon learning that he was out looking for stinky tofu, Lin Feng was somewhat speechless.

”I say, you’re at least a rich young master, aren’t you? How can you be so obsessed with stinky tofu every day?”

”Sigh, Brother Lin, you don’t understand. The more I eat this stuff, the more addicted I get. And when I asked those chefs in the kitchen, who claim to be top in the industry, to replicate it, they couldn’t do it. They’re a bunch of useless people.”

Kuze said with a sigh. If his team of chefs could make stinky tofu, he wouldn’t have to come out personally to look for it.

”Alright, alright, stop thinking about your stinky tofu. I brought you something good. Let’s talk inside.”

”Something good? What good thing?”

Kuze immediately perked up. The ’good thing’ in Lin Feng’s mouth was definitely not an ordinary item, so he immediately cast aside the matter of looking for stinky tofu.

After returning to the room, Kuze eagerly and impatiently asked Lin Feng what he had brought him.

Afterwards, Lin Feng also took out the translated book and the malleable energy battery.

”You guys should study the knowledge in this book first. There’s a lot more to come, and it should help you solve your problems.”

Kuze heard this and looked through it with confusion. After reading a few pages, Kuze’s expression gradually brightened.

”This is a book about manufacturing lightning elements?”

”Yes, there’s a lot more to come. I’ll send them to you in a while. You can read this one first.”

”Holy crap! Brother Lin, it has to be you, hahaha!”

Originally, Kuze and his team’s research progress had stagnated, almost to the point of giving up, but he never expected Lin Feng to bring him such a great gift.

After having dinner at Kuze’s place, Lin Feng was ready to return.

”Brother Lin, it’s getting late. Why don’t you stay here with me? How about Miss Lina serves you?”

Kuze saw Lin Feng to the door and tried to persuade him to stay.

”Never mind, I have something else to do soon, so I’ll head back first.”

”Something to do? What could you possibly have to do this late at night?”

Looking at Lin Feng’s departing back, Kuze’s mind was full of questions, but he didn’t ask further. He closed the door and picked up the book to continue reading.

..........

On the other side, not long after Lin Feng left the town, he suddenly saw a bright light in the distance.

Out of curiosity, Lin Feng gradually approached.

”Their Elevator is actually here??”

Lin Feng looked at the Elevator that appeared in the open space and immediately deduced that the owner of this Elevator was the Three Brothers.

He had thought their Elevator was relatively close to the town, but he never expected it to be so close; it was just a two-step walk after leaving the town.

The source of the light was a simple shed outside the Elevator. Looking at the pots, bowls, and pans piled outside, it should be where the three of them processed ingredients. At this moment, Guan Long was curing meat ingredients.

Lin Feng didn’t see the other two; they were probably translating books.

Checking the time, Lin Feng decided not to greet them.

......

After returning to the Elevator, the System’s prompt just happened to sound.

”Ding, the host is about to enter the Card Survival Floor. All items on this floor need to be obtained through card draws. A total of one hundred Seekers will participate. Seekers can trade cards with each other. The survival time is 7 days. Finally, a score will be given based on survival comfort. Seekers with higher scores will receive richer rewards. No items can be brought into this floor.”

”Ding, mission issued: Please enter the Card Survival Floor for a survival challenge. During this period, please abide by the floor rules and do not use resources from the System Space for survival. Reward: Strength, Speed, Agility, Constitution attributes increased by 100 points.”

”What? The reward is so good?”

Currently, Lin Feng’s biggest concern was increasing his attribute values, and he had no reason to refuse this reward from the System.

Originally, Lin Feng hadn’t planned to enter this kind of floor, but now... he would go in and take a look. Even without using things from the System Space, Lin Feng felt that with his luck, he could get whatever he wanted.

”Ding-dong, Elevator descending, please hold on tight.”

With the sound of the broadcast, the Elevator began to move downwards.

It quickly stopped steadily, and when the door opened, a pure white room appeared outside.

The room only contained a bed and nothing else.

After Lin Feng stepped into the room, the Elevator disappeared, and at the same time, the broadcast began to announce the floor rules. Soon, a card drawing machine appeared in front of Lin Feng.

Three draw cards can be obtained daily. Each card draw consumes one draw card. All drawn materials are random and may include weapons, survival supplies, medicine, clothing, dangerous creatures, animals, other cards, or even ’Thank You for Your Patronage.’

Lin Feng didn’t pay too much attention to the rules; he was just quite confident in his luck.

He casually inserted a draw card into the card drawing machine.

Soon, after a period of shaking, the drawing machine spit out a card.

”Draw Card: After use, obtain five draw cards.”

”Holy crap, five more times?”

Lin Feng really didn’t expect there to be such a card.

So he used it directly and drew a total of seven times, obtaining two food cards, two freshwater cards, one cold weapon card, and two medical cards.

It was pretty much as Lin Feng expected: one wave of card draws, and basic survival supplies were all set.

For the food cards, using them randomly produced an equivalent quantity of food. From the two food cards, Lin Feng obtained one kilogram of bread and one kilogram of roasted beef.

One freshwater card was one liter of drinking water.

From the cold weapon card, Lin Feng obtained a Kukri. The medical card, when used, could heal a wound on the body or cure a disease.
