After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1645: Chapter 1649: A Moment’s Strange Sensation

After taking a few steps forward, Mo Bei spoke softly, ”Today, I’ve caused you some trouble!”

”Aren’t we friends? Why be so polite?” Jiao Yang turned his face to look at her, ”But I’m a bit curious, where exactly did you go?”

Mo Bei laughed, ”It’s a secret!”

Jiao Yang shrugged his shoulders.

Seeing his expression, Mo Bei smiled and continued, ”Actually, I didn’t go anywhere special, just took Tongtong for a brief outing in the suburbs!”

”Tongtong?!” Jiao Yang stopped in his tracks, ”What did you do this time?!”

”Don’t worry, I didn’t hit her, or scold her, I didn’t even touch her.” Mo Bei grinned mischievously, ”I just took her to do some extreme sports!”

Jiao Yang chuckled, ”The girl must have been scared to death by you, right?”

”Nope, definitely not, only half dead at most.” Mo Bei laughed.

Jiao Yang gently shook his head, ”You...”

”She slapped me, I slapped her back. It was even, but she deliberately rammed into my car. I couldn’t just let her bully me, could I?!” Mo Bei said matter-of-factly, ”A woman like her needs someone to teach her a lesson. I’m just helping her, right?”

Jiao Yang stopped walking and, while laughing, held her arm. He raised his hand to pull up her long hair, noticing the scabs from wounds behind her ear, and merely frowned.

”Should we go see a doctor?!”

”These little wounds are nothing, I’m fine!” Mo Bei raised a hand to remove his, but she saw several men in black suddenly rush from a parked car on the road. She gasped and grabbed Jiao Yang’s wrist, ”Run!”

Jiao Yang glanced confusedly over his shoulder, seeing several tall men in black racing toward them. Though puzzled, he instinctively followed Mo Bei as they swiftly fled.

They ran through the underground passage, Mo Bei pulling him along while the men in black followed closely behind.

”This way!”

Hearing the footsteps approaching closer, Mo Bei dragged Jiao Yang into a dimly lit alley.

Unexpectedly, they found a dead end, with a tall iron fence blocking their way.

”Jump over it!”

Mo Bei called urgently, deftly grasping the railing. Jiao Yang didn’t dare delay and followed her up.

Just as they were about to scale the fence, one of the men in black leaped forward, grabbing onto Jiao Yang’s leg.

Perched atop the fence, Mo Bei threw her motorcycle jacket over, landing a kick on the man’s head. In pain, he released Jiao Yang, allowing both of them to awkwardly scramble over.

The men in black climbed over the fence to pursue, but barking and flashlights already emanated from the factory inside the fence.

”Who’s there?!”

An angry shout from the security guards rang out.

Realizing the unfavorable situation, the men in black turned to leave.

Hearing the gathering footsteps inside the courtyard, Mo Bei turned, grabbed Jiao Yang, pressing her back against the fence.

”Quick, kiss me!”

”What?!”

Her voice was so low that Jiao Yang didn’t catch it.

Seeing the flashlight beams nearing, Mo Bei suddenly pressed him against the fence, her lips meeting his in a sudden kiss.

The moment their lips touched, a tingling sensation spread through both of them, as if the other’s lips carried an electric charge. Struck by the strange feeling, both were momentarily stunned.

”What are you doing?!”

At this moment, several security guards arrived with dogs, forming a semicircle surrounding Mo Bei and Jiao Yang, their flashlights shining directly on them.
