After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1640: Chapter 1644: He Said He’s Coming to Hong Kong

”Yes, sir!” Two subordinates replied in unison.

Turning around, Allen jogged down the steps and jumped onto the yacht.

”Set sail!”

At his command, the yacht immediately left the dock, heading toward the distant coastline.

As Leng Zirui and Leng Zimo had predicted, Allen chose the transaction location on the High Seas.

On the High Seas, they can move more freely without worrying about Leng Zirui deploying governmental forces.

Xu Xia stood on the deck, holding the railing. Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at the two men standing on either side of her.

If she jumped at this moment, perhaps there would be a slim chance to escape.

But Leng Zirui said she mustn’t take risks.

A hand gripped her arm tightly, then the two subordinates dragged her into the cabin and threw her onto the sofa.

Allen came over and sat opposite her, his mouth slightly curving outside the mask, ”Would you like something to drink, coffee, alcohol, or juice...”

Xu Xia rubbed her sore arm, ”I don’t want anything!”

Allen chuckled, ”Don’t worry, once we get what we want, I’ll give you your freedom!”

”Humph!” Xu Xia snorted lightly. Of course, she wouldn’t believe his words, ”What do you want? If it’s money, you don’t need to find Leng Zirui, I can give it to you myself!”

”Money?!” Allen laughed softly, ”No, Miss Xu, you misunderstand, we bear no malice toward you personally.”

”Then...” Xu Xia squinted slightly, ”What do you want to get from Leng Zirui?!”

”You’re very astute!” Allen shrugged, ”As long as that man loves you enough, you won’t die, so this is not entirely a bad thing. Don’t you Chinese have a saying, ’true love is revealed in hard times’? I’m providing an opportunity for you both to test your feelings!”

”If you’re thinking to use me to get something from Leng Zirui, you better give up now!” Xu Xia lowered her face, ”He won’t come!”

That man, although usually carefree, is very dedicated to his job. They wouldn’t spend so much effort to get something ordinary, how could he possibly hand it over?!

Though Xu Xia knew Leng Zirui wasn’t wrong for doing this, she still felt a pang of sorrow thinking about the situation.

If Luo Xiaoqian were captured, Leng Zimo would definitely go all out to save Xiao Qian at all costs, wouldn’t he?!

”If you think you can deceive me this way, Miss Xu, don’t bother wasting your breath!” Allen took the beer handed to him and drank a sip, ”Leng Zirui has already promised me he’ll bring what I want to Hong Kong in exchange for you!”

”What did you say?!” Xu Xia raised her face in surprise, ”He said he’s coming to Hong Kong?”

”Miss Xu is quite an actress!” Allen regarded her surprise as a façade, ”I heard you haven’t seen each other for a few days, don’t worry, soon you’ll see each other...”

Xu Xia felt a moment of happiness, but soon her mood sank again.

This is just Leng Zirui’s stalling tactic; given his status, even if someone else were captured instead of her, Xu Xia, he would come anyway!

Turning her face, Xu Xia frowned and looked at the night outside the cabin.

The coastline was getting farther and farther away.
