After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1606: Chapter 1610: Does Missing You Count?

”You’re getting more and more nosy!” Leng Zirui stood up, ”It’s getting late, you should wash up and rest. I still have tasks to do, so I’ll head off first!”

”Brat!” Leng Lin cursed softly at his retreating figure, but his tone was more delighted than anything.

Originally, he was most worried about Leng Zimo, who always kept away from women. Finally, there came a Luo Xiaoqian, but then went through such events. Now, his eldest son’s marriage is about to be settled, and their second child is almost born. As a father, Leng Lin’s concerns naturally shifted from Leng Zimo to Leng Zirui.

Now, watching this carefree son finally show interest in Xu Xia, as a father, he couldn’t be more gratified.

Stepping into the elevator, Leng Zirui leaned lazily against the elevator wall, naturally pulled out his phone, and dialed a number ingrained in his mind without looking.

”Hello?!”

On the other end, Xu Xia’s voice sounded a little fatigued.

To promote her new album, her company arranged a concert for her at the Hung Hom Sports Centre. Early today, she had flown directly to Hong Kong for a week-long special training to lay a solid foundation for the concert. She had just finished training and returned to the hotel, without even having time for a shower.

”Feeling tired?”

”Not too bad.” Xu Xia gently rubbed her sore lips, ”Is there something up?”

For him to call her so late, there must be something, surely?!

”Does missing you count?” Leng Zirui chuckled.

Xu Xia wouldn’t believe it, she just pouted and said, ”You called me in the middle of the night just to mess with me?”

The elevator doors opened, and Leng Zirui stepped into the underground parking lot, ”Did you have dinner?”

”Yes, I did.”

”How’s your foot? Did you use the brace?!”

”It’s nothing serious, it’s fine, the brace...” Xu Xia glanced at the brace he had given her on her foot, ”That thing is so ugly, I can’t be bothered to use it!”

”Don’t argue. Get Lan Zi to buy you a set of the brace and put it on. Don’t take a shower, but soak in a bath at night, especially the injured foot, soak it for a while longer. Then apply some safflower oil, balance work and rest, and don’t overtrain...”

Although his tone was commanding, there was concern in every word.

Listening to his voice, Xu Xia just stayed silent, not saying a word.

”Why are you not speaking?!” Not hearing her voice, Leng Zirui asked puzzled.

”I got it.” Xu Xia answered quietly.

”Good girl, when you come back, brother Leng will buy you some candy. I won’t be attending the concert, as you know, I can’t casually go to Hong Kong.” Leng Zirui reached out and leaned against the car door, his gaze caught the reflection of a fleeting figure in the side mirror. His eyes flashed with an unusual light, but his face remained unchanged. Opening the car door, he continued the conversation, ”Don’t go roaming around aimlessly if there’s nothing, and definitely don’t go clubbing. If you drink, only drink beer and no more than one bottle...”

Sitting in the driver’s seat, he swiftly started the car and backed out of the parking spot.

The engine roared, and a car suddenly swerved and crashed toward his front bumper.

Leng Zirui quickly retracted his legs, gripped the door, and deftly jumped out of the window.

Bang!

His car directly hit a nearby pillar with a loud crash.

Leng Zirui smoothly jumped out of the car and dodged behind a stone pillar, reaching into his pocket to pull out a gun.

From inside the car, several tall figures quickly emerged, rushing towards his direction.
