After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1634: Chapter 1638: Not Used to That

”Alright, it’s now seven-thirty. I’m giving you four hours; by eleven-thirty, I expect you to be in Hong Kong, and of course, with the 5N Key. We’ll contact you again then!”

Allen raised his hand and tossed Xu Xia’s phone out of the car window.

Xu Xia sat in the backseat, held by two people. Her gaze swept over the several black-masked figures without making a sound or resisting.

Although she was tense, she wasn’t afraid.

That person promised to come and rescue her, and she believed he wouldn’t break his promise.

She also believed that before that person, they would be completely powerless.

The black Mercedes sped off and quickly disappeared into the night.

...

...

Beijing.

The apartment where Tongtong lives.

Tongtong, dressed in a revealing gold gown, gracefully stepped out of her apartment building, and as expected, a red SUV was parked outside the entrance.

Seeing her, Sasha, seated in the driver’s seat, immediately got out with a smile and opened the car door for her.

”You must be Miss Tong, I’m Sasha. Please get in the car!”

Tongtong, unsuspecting of any trickery, immediately got into the car and sat in the back seat. Sasha jumped into the car and drove it out of the residential area, heading towards the outskirts.

”Where are we... going?!”

Looking at the road outside the window, Tongtong asked with some confusion.

”Southern Suburbs, to an entertainment base owned by our company. Tonight is the opening ceremony!” Sasha glanced at her and took a check folder from the glove box, handing it to her. ”This is your reward!”

Tongtong accepted the folder, opened it, and surely enough found a check for a hundred thousand inside.

The other party was a girl, it was prearranged, and the payment was made in advance; Tongtong had no suspicions. She immediately smiled, stuffed the check into her small bag, then took out a makeup mirror and began to hum a tune while checking her makeup.

Sasha, observing the vain Tongtong through the rearview mirror, her gaze drifting over the cleavage exposed by her low-cut gown, merely chuckled lightly, ”Miss Tong is so beautiful, there’s no need for makeup at all.”

Being complimented on her beauty by another girl, Tongtong naturally enjoyed it and modestly replied, ”Oh, no, I’ve aged. I can’t compare to you young girls who look fresh and dewy even without makeup!”

Sasha smiled, suddenly veering the car off the road and onto a tree-lined path.

The car shook violently, and Tongtong nearly dropped her makeup mirror.

Glancing at the increasingly desolate scenery outside the window, Tongtong frowned slightly, ”Sasha, did you take the wrong road?!”

”It’s a shortcut, a bit faster!” Sasha glanced at Tongtong, ”The road is a bit bumpy; Miss Tong, hold on tight!”

With that, she floored the gas pedal, and the SUV picked up speed, hurtling forward like an unbridled horse.

This path hadn’t been maintained for a long time, and at such speed, even Sasha was about to be jostled apart.

She could hardly be bothered with makeup, as she was busy holding onto the car’s handle.

”Sasha, could you slow down?!”

”Sorry, I’m not in the habit of doing that!”

Sasha abruptly turned the car to the right, with the SUV roaring over the gravel road, rushing into a wide area, and then coming to a sudden stop.

Tongtong hadn’t fastened her seatbelt and was thrown forward, hitting the back of the seat and nearly gagging.

”Where... is this?!” Raising her head and looking at the pitch-black surroundings, she asked with lingering fear.

”Get out. The person you’re supposed to meet is waiting for you up ahead!” Sasha popped a piece of gum into her mouth. ”The rest of the hundred thousand, you’ll have to collect it yourself!”

Good afternoon.
