After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1386: Chapter 1390: The Most Delicious in the World

Luo Xiaoqian smiled and took out a spoon and chopsticks, then took a wet tissue to carefully wipe his hands, from the palms to between the fingers, cleaning each finger meticulously. Her actions were almost identical to how he cared for her.

”I’ll do it myself!” Leng Zimo instinctively wanted to pull his fingers back from hers. To him, taking care of her was natural, but being cared for by her, he was still a little unaccustomed.

Luo Xiaoqian held his fingers without relaxing, ”Be good, don’t move!”

He had done so much for her, this time, she wanted to pamper him properly.

Only after wiping each of his fingers clean did Luo Xiaoqian release his hand, then she took the chopsticks, held up the lunchbox, and brought the fried egg to his mouth, ”Honey, open your mouth!”

Looking into her clear black and white eyes, Leng Zimo saw her emotions and did not refuse any longer. He simply opened his mouth and bit into the egg she had fried, one mouthful at a time following her chopsticks.

It was a taste he was very familiar with, with very little butter, no salt, just chopped ”hai mi” added, and a little pepper. It tasted fresh and fragrant without being greasy.

When he was young, Leng Zimo always disliked eating eggs. His mother used to make similar pepper-fried eggs to get him to eat them.

Five years ago, the first time she cooked for him, it was breakfast, and it was this most homey meal, the simplest yet the most unforgettable taste — it was the taste of love and the taste of home.

”Is it good?” Luo Xiaoqian asked while feeding him.

Leng Zimo lifted the corners of his lips, ”The fried eggs made by my wife are the best in the world.”

Luo Xiaoqian gave him a look, ”How many people’s cooking have you tasted?”

Leng Zimo had traveled almost all over the world, and fried eggs like this were provided as breakfast or used as side dishes in many hotels, so he naturally had tasted many.

”A lot, but the ones made by women in their own kitchens, only two.” Leng Zimo replied earnestly, ”Yours and my mom’s.”

”Mine is better than mom’s?” Luo Xiaoqian asked with a smile.

”I think so, but maybe Dad wouldn’t agree.” Leng Zimo said.

Luo Xiaoqian picked up the porridge bowl, ”Drink the porridge!”

Then, she scooped it spoon by spoon, and he ate it spoon by spoon.

It wasn’t until all the food in the thermal container was eaten clean that Leng Zimo stopped, in fact, his appetite wasn’t very good, but he didn’t want to waste even a bite of the meal his wife made.

Who knows if there will be another chance to eat it again in the future?!

Now, everything regarding what Leng Zimo said seemed incredibly precious.

As breakfast was finished, Leng Zimo’s phone on the table rang, and his bodyguard Xiao Jie busily brought the phone to Leng Zimo’s hand. After glancing at the number, Leng Zimo pressed the call button.

The call was from Mina, inquiring whether today’s board meeting was in the morning or the afternoon.

Every two weeks, Emperor View would hold a board meeting, and today was Monday, just the day for the board meeting.

”Notify all the directors to postpone the meeting to Wednesday. Before Wednesday, do not disturb me, I need a rest.” Leng Zimo’s tone was very calm. Previously, he was always in a state of workaholism, with work being the most important alongside Luo Xiaoqian and family in his heart.

Now, when he truly faced death, he suddenly realized that none of it mattered.

If this were his final time, he wanted it to belong to him and Luo Xiaoqian, to his family.

Work, when is it ever finished!
