After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1376: Chapter 1380: So, What About the Risks?

After a few basic examinations, it was already dusk when they all returned to the ward, and Leng Zimo’s gaze concernedly fell on Luo Xiaoqian’s face.

”Are you hungry?”

”The lunch you made was so delicious, I’m not very hungry now,” Luo Xiaoqian smiled, ”What would you like to eat? I can have Ah Jiu bring something back for you.”

As the two were talking, Tong Ya had already pushed open the door and walked in.

”Dr. Parker is here!”

Everyone immediately stood up, and at this moment, Shen Yizhou also entered with two others.

Leading the group was a man in his fifties, with blonde hair and blue eyes, a gentle face, followed by a young man carrying a briefcase.

”Let me introduce everyone!” Shen Yizhou stopped in the middle of the group, ”This is my mentor and good friend, Dr. Stansen, and this is his assistant Jack, this is...”

”No need for introductions, Mr. Leng, right?!” Dr. Stansen extended his hand towards Leng Zimo, ”My daughter really likes your movies.”

”Hello!” Leng Zimo responded in English, politely extending his hand for a handshake, ”This is my wife Sissi, and my brother Roy!”

After everyone shook hands, Luo Xiaoqian politely spoke in English, ”You all just got off the plane and probably haven’t eaten yet. Why don’t we find a nearby place to eat, and then come back to discuss the specific medical situation?”

There was no rush right now, as everyone needed to eat anyway.

”Then I won’t be polite,” Dr. Stansen agreed with a smile, ”I’m very pleased with everyone’s composure.”

It was indeed rare to maintain such calmness at a time like this.

What he didn’t know was that Luo Xiaoqian was more anxious than anyone else at the moment, but she understood that panicking now was pointless and would only add to Leng Zimo’s mental burden. The Leng Family Brothers were also trying their best to maintain their composure to avoid adding pressure on Luo Xiaoqian and the others.

With Ah Jiu and the others accompanying, the group left the hospital together and found a quiet restaurant nearby.

During the meal, everyone tacitly avoided discussing the medical situation. With the matter on their minds, they didn’t chat much and quickly finished dinner and returned to the hospital.

Instead of going to the ward, Shen Yizhou directly took Leng Zimo and the others to the CT room, personally operating the equipment to conduct another examination on him. Dr. Luo Ke also personally checked Leng Zimo’s condition.

An hour later, the group returned to the ward.

Dr. Stansen then spoke, ”Considering Mr. Leng’s situation, I recommend performing an awake craniotomy.”

”What’s ’awake craniotomy’?!” Luo Xiaoqian immediately asked.

She naturally did not understand this medical terminology.

”Normal craniotomy is performed under general anesthesia, as everyone knows. Because brain cells are extremely fragile, we can’t guarantee no damage. However, if we keep the patient awake, we can monitor the patient’s physical condition during the surgery — such as hearing, vision, smell, and so on. This allows us to determine the patient’s current state in real-time, ensuring our surgery does not damage his brain cells and minimizing potential harm to the patient’s brain nerves,” Dr. Stansen explained in detail.

”Then, what are the risks?” Roy asked.
