After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1358: Chapter 1362: Nobody Is Perfect

”We can find Dr. Yin, you can forget about me and start anew with Jiao Yang...”

So, this was his ultimate plan.

Luo Xiaoqian let go of his neck and cupped his face with her hands.

”Zimo, think carefully, have you been happy these past five years?”

A single question left Leng Zimo speechless.

These five years, indeed, he forgot about Luo Xiaoqian and did not go mad because of her departure, but that love and habit buried deep in his consciousness tormented him endlessly.

His heart always felt empty, as if something important was missing.

Were those days happy?

No!

The answer was unmistakably negative.

Luo Xiaoqian observed his expression and continued to ask, ”Then, do you also want me to live like that? Or if one day, because of some stimulation, I remember you, what am I supposed to do then? Do you really want me to end my life in regret, or abandon myself because I can’t accept reality?!”

Leng Zimo shook his head, he didn’t want her to live that kind of life, ”I just want you to live happily, even without me, and receive the best love in this world.”

Luo Xiaoqian gave a bitter smile, ”Fool, without you, what would be the point of having the whole world? Yes, five years ago, I thought about many things, like traveling the world, like asking you to write me songs... Later, after I left you and went to the United States, I realized that all of this was meaningless. I went to Lapland, I went to many places... The scenery there was indeed beautiful, but so what? I stood alone in Lapland’s midnight sun, yet my heart felt cold as hell.”

Pulling him over to sit on the bed, Luo Xiaoqian tightly held his hands.

”There are some things I’ve never told you. Later, when I returned to Beijing and knew how much pain your amnesia caused you, I truly regretted it. I regretted leaving you, regretted not telling you the truth. If I could choose again, I definitely wouldn’t leave five years ago. I would stay and face everything with you. Back then, I thought I was being noble, but later I realized how selfish I was because I never even asked for your opinion; I made the decision for you, Zimo, I’ve already missed one chance, you can’t make the same mistake again. How many five-year periods are there in life? From twenty to twenty-five years old, those were the most beautiful times in my life, yet I didn’t share them with you.”

”But...”

”I know what you want to say, you want to say maybe you’ll die, maybe the tumor will recur, maybe you’ll go blind, right?!” Luo Xiaoqian lifted his palm and placed it on her face, ”Five years ago, I was just like you, afraid of being imperfect, not worthy of you, so I kept working hard, and working hard, wanting to stand alongside you. Now, I have my own company, and everyone says I am a strong woman, but I found out these things don’t matter at all. I just want to be the silly girl held in your arms and fed. No one is perfect, not even you. If this is another test from heaven for us, then let’s defeat it together!”

Raising her hand to support his face, she smiled bravely with tears in her eyes, ”Don’t you want to see me give birth to our second child, don’t you want to know what they will look like?
