After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1353: Chapter 1357: Am I Really the Only One Sleeping in a Tent?

”Oh, I have something urgent, and I’m afraid I won’t make it back by tomorrow morning.” Jiao Yang didn’t expose Leng Zimo.

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t suspect anything, ”I see, then let Zimo arrange someone to drive you back since you’ve been drinking and it’s not convenient for you to drive.”

Everyone escorted Jiao Yang over, and Ah Jiu had already driven his car over.

Leng Zimo let go of Luo Xiaoqian, stepped forward, supported Jiao Yang’s arm, and personally escorted him to the car, opening the door for him while whispering in his ear,

”If you betray me, I guarantee, you’ll never see her again!”

”But...”

Jiao Yang wanted to say more, but Leng Zimo had already pushed him into the car, closed the door, and said in a normal tone, ”See you another day!”

After sending Jiao Yang off, everyone went their separate ways to get ready for bed.

John took Mo Mo upstairs, Shen Yizhou, worried about Tong Ya’s health, also took her to stay in the guest room, Qin Lan and Huangfu Ruo also stayed in the guest room with Qin Wanwan, and Leng Lin, being older, naturally couldn’t sleep in a tent.

”You’re all sleeping in the guest room!” Xu Xia looked disappointed upon hearing everyone was sleeping in the guest room, ”Am I the only one sleeping in the tent?!”

”Isn’t Zirui with you?” Huangfu Ruo winked at her, ”It’s the perfect chance for you two to have some alone time, isn’t it?”

”Yeah, we can’t be third wheels.” Luo Xiaoqian hugged Leng Zimo’s arm, ”Let’s go, Zimo, let’s go upstairs.”

Thus, everyone laughingly went upstairs to rest.

By the tent, only the crackling bonfire, twinkling little lights, and the standing Xu Xia, along with the seated Leng Zirui, were left.

Xu Xia turned her face to look at Leng Zirui sitting on the ground, ”Hey, don’t tell me you’re going to sleep in the guest room too?”

Leng Zirui glanced at her with a smile, ”Stop trying to be all artsy and romantic, sleep in a tent overnight and you’ll be sore all over in the morning, you’ll regret it then, just go to the guest room.”

”Hmph!” Xu Xia pouted, turning to sit on a hammock beside, ”If you want comfort, go ahead, I’m happier alone!”

She came for the wild camping experience, having long dreamed of lying in a tent watching the stars since she was a kid, now that she had the chance, she was determined not to go back to the guest room.

”Alright, enjoy your solitude, I’m leaving then!” Standing up, Leng Zirui strode towards the building.

”No sense of romance!” Xu Xia rolled her eyes at his back, reaching out to grab a can of beer from a small table beside her, opened the tab, took a swig, and lay leisurely on the hammock, ”How wonderful to enjoy the night breeze and watch the stars, and none of you are here with me!”

She placed the beer can aside, rested her arms behind her head, watched the starry night sky, and hummed softly to herself.

”I’m not lonely alone, only lonely when thinking of someone, when those with partners are partying, what do the lonely do... No, this isn’t loneliness, it’s freedom... Let’s change it... The loneliness of tonight makes me so beautiful, no one knows my joys and sorrows... How is it lonely again, change it... This is a season of love, the lonely ones are shameful... What nonsense, why is being alone always either lonely or solitary, what’s wrong with you songwriters!”

Bringing the beer can to her mouth, she found after a long tilt that not a drop came out; unknowingly, she’d finished it. Xu Xia cursed under her breath and flung the empty can aside.

Bang!

Something suddenly fell and landed on her.
