After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1083: Chapter 1087: Different from Other Women

Tang Ming looked at the jewelry box she sent over, ”If you don’t like it, just throw it away!”

”How can I do that?” Xu Xia felt a bit troubled, ”Tang Ming, you might have misunderstood me, I just feel that we barely know each other, so accepting such an expensive gift from you might not be proper.”

Tang Ming smiled gently, ”These things are worthless compared to you!”

”Tang Ming!” Xu Xia frowned, ”Actually, I’m not as good as you imagine, I have a bad temper, bad personality, I’m capricious, impulsive, rude...”

”But, I like it!” Tang Ming interrupted her with a smile.

Xu Xia froze.

Tang Ming raised his hand to hold her chin, ”I’ve seen many women: socialites, noblewomen, strong women... and the like. They might be more graceful than you, but none are more genuine. I know you pretended to be a lady yesterday and it was exhausting, but there’s really no need. In front of me, you don’t need to disguise yourself; you just need to be yourself because I like the real you—straightforward, simple, sincere!

This was definitely the best compliment Xu Xia had ever heard; most men she encountered could not tolerate her temper.

This man who indulged her was definitely the first, Tang Ming.

Focused on her, Tang Ming naturally leaned in to kiss her.

Yesterday’s approach seemed ineffective; perhaps he should try being more direct.

Seeing the face gradually coming closer, Xu Xia instinctively dodged away.

Tang Ming kissed only air, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

Tang Ming was slightly taken aback, ”Don’t you like me?”

”It’s not that, I just think... it’s a bit too quick. After all, we’ve only known each other for three days!” Xu Xia looked at him apologetically, ”Do you understand what I mean?”

Actually, Tang Ming hadn’t misjudged her; Xu Xia usually acted decisively, but indeed she wasn’t that casual.

Considering they had only known each other for two days, she indeed liked Tang Ming’s manner and personality, but thinking about getting intimate with him felt a bit odd.

”I’m sorry!” Tang Ming smiled, ”I know, I was too hasty. It’s okay, I’ll give you time. We can start by being friends first, how about that?”

”Of course.” Xu Xia breathed a sigh of relief, ”That’s definitely no problem.”

Putting the jewelry box back in her backpack, she immediately walked out from under his umbrella, stretched her arms, and relaxed, ”This kind of drizzle feels really nice!”

Watching her face turned upwards, Tang Ming only frowned.

This woman really was different from the other women he’d seen!

”Let me try too!” He put away his umbrella, imitating her as he tilted his face upwards, the raindrops soon blurring his glasses, ”I can’t see anything!”

Xu Xia turned her face to look at his glasses wet from the rain and burst into laughter, then immediately lifted her hand to take his glasses off, inspected them, ”Are these nearsighted glasses?!”

”Plain glasses!” Tang Ming replied.

Xu Xia was puzzled, ”No prescription at all, why do you wear them?!”

”Because it makes me seem gentler.” This sentence sounded like a joke, but it was actually the truth.

To disguise his ambitions, he always liked to hide his truest self, even including his gaze.

Xu Xia raised her hand and tossed his glasses into the trash can, ”Alright, now you’re liberated!”
