After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1066: Chapter 1070 Tang Ming’s Methods (5)

Tang Ming chuckled with delight, but quickly shook his head, ”No need, that would be too much trouble for you.”

Xu Xia smiled, ”How could it be? It’s just delivering a bouquet of flowers.”

”Are you sure it won’t affect your work?” Tang Ming feigned hesitation.

”I’ll have time tomorrow afternoon.”

”Then... I’ll trouble you with it.” Tang Ming looked at her deeply, ”Xu Xia, you’re really a good girl. I’m so glad to have met you.”

Feeling the unusual emotion in his gaze, Xu Xia’s face heated up, and she quickly looked away, ”I’ll sign it for you now.”

The dinner, naturally, was very pleasant and harmonious.

The two of them chatted as happily as the first time they had dinner, and even though the food had gone cold, they still weren’t finished enjoying themselves.

It wasn’t until Lan Zi called to remind her that Xu Xia finally stood up, ”I have to go back.”

”Time always seems to fly by when I’m with you,” Tang Ming glanced at his watch, ”I didn’t realize it was so late already.”

The two walked out of the restaurant. The sky was slightly gloomy, and it had started to drizzle at some unknown time. Although it was already May, there was still a slight chill in the night. Tang Ming naturally slipped off his suit and draped it over Xu Xia’s bare shoulders.

Back at the hotel lobby, he personally helped her out of the car.

Looking at her, he wore a face full of reluctance.

”I’ll pick you up to go to Long Island at noon tomorrow.”

Xu Xia glanced at his thin shirt, quickly taking off the suit and handing it back to him, ”Your jacket...”

Tang Ming raised his hand, draping the suit over her shoulders once more, ”It’s fine, we’ll see each other tomorrow.”

”See you tomorrow.” Xu Xia said her goodbye, turning to leave.

Tang Ming suddenly reached out, grabbing her wrist, and pulled her into his arms, embracing her. Feeling the sudden enveloping presence of a man, Xu Xia was momentarily stunned, ”Tang Ming, you...”

”I’m sorry!” Tang Ming hurriedly withdrew his hand, taking two steps back, ”Sorry for being rude, I... I apologize, I just... lost control of my emotions a bit. I hope you don’t mind, we’ll see each other tomorrow, I’ll leave now!”

Taking big strides back to the car, Tang Ming pulled open the car door, sat inside, and immediately instructed the driver to drive.

Through the car window, he looked at Xu Xia standing outside the hotel lobby and faintly smiled.

”Why didn’t you kiss her?” the white driver asked curiously.

”That’s your Western logic, falling in love at first sight, kissing, going to bed. Don’t be fooled by her open appearance; deep down, she’s just a little girl full of fantasies about love,” Tang Ming leaned back in his seat with a cold smile, ”I guarantee, she’ll be sleepless all night because of me.”

The driver grinned ambiguously, ”I didn’t expect you’re so good at pursuing women.”

Tang Ming’s face darkened, ”What you don’t want always comes easily, what you want is always hard to attain!”

For instance, that person, for so many years, he still couldn’t truly win her heart!

Watching the car drive away, Xu Xia turned and walked into the hotel lobby. Once inside the elevator, she immediately leaned lazily against the elevator wall, gently shaking her feet, which were sore from the heels.

Once back on her floor, as soon as Xu Xia took out the room card from her bag, Lan Zi and Xiao Gao from the neighboring room had already come over to escort her into the room.

As soon as she entered, Xiao Gao excitedly asked, ”How was it?”

”How was what?” Xu Xia kicked off her high heels and quickly took off the suit draped over her, ”Hurry, help me take off this dress!”
