Chapter 1060: Chapter 1064: Beauty Hard to Overcome Hero

The Leng Family Mansion.

Luo Xiaoqian bent down and kissed Luo Jun’s forehead, gently pulled up the thin quilt for him, carefully stood up, and walked out of the bedroom.

Outside the door, Leng Lin was waiting in the hallway.

”Asleep?”

”Yes, it’s late, you should also get some rest.” Luo Xiaoqian responded softly.

”Don’t work too late either.” With a light sigh, Leng Lin turned and walked back to his own room.

Luo Xiaoqian glanced at Luo Jun’s door, then turned to enter Leng Zimo’s study next door. Ever since she moved here, Leng Zimo’s study had become her office.

Entering the study and closing the door, Luo Xiaoqian sat down at the desk, just about to start working when her phone on the desk buzzed.

The call was from Selena in the United States. After Luo Xiaoqian returned to China, the work there was now managed by Selena.

Luo Xiaoqian answered the call, ”Selena, how’s everything going with the recording?”

”Everything is going smoothly, except for Miss Xu.” Selena’s tone carried a hint of helplessness.

”What’s up with her?” Luo Xiaoqian asked in confusion.

Selena sighed on the other end of the phone, ”Yesterday, she suddenly left the hotel without even taking an assistant. We almost called the police. I heard she encountered a robbery, luckily nothing happened, otherwise, I wouldn’t know how to answer to you.”

The affairs of Xu Xia’s visit to the United States had been fully entrusted to Selena. With Xu Xia’s sudden departure yesterday, Selena had quite a time tracking her down.

Due to work, Selena had interacted with quite a few renowned singers and actors, but someone behaving as outlandishly as Xu Xia was a first for her. Fearing another such incident, Selena had no choice but to call her boss, Luo Xiaoqian.

”I’ll call her in a bit,” Luo Xiaoqian said, picking up the anti-radiation glasses on the desk and putting them on, ”Don’t forget what I instructed you, this recording is extremely important, it must be perfect. First, get Xu Xia into her best condition before starting the recording.”

After hanging up with Selena, Luo Xiaoqian immediately dialed Xu Xia’s cellphone, ”My dear Miss Xu, I heard you went missing?”

Xu Xia knew Selena had reported her, but on the other end of the line, she playfully laughed, ”That’s not true, I just went out to enjoy some fresh air and seek some creative inspiration.”

Luo Xiaoqian’s tone turned serious, ”You better be serious with me. Let me tell you, this is the last time. I absolutely will not allow such things to happen again. If you go out, you must be accompanied.”

”I understand, I promise, it won’t happen again.” Xu Xia immediately agreed.

”What about the robbery? You weren’t hurt, were you?” Luo Xiaoqian asked with concern.

”No injuries. Did you forget your sister here has a Black Belt Sixth Dan? That guy dared to rob me, it’s good enough I didn’t turn the tables on him. If it wasn’t for the hero who showed up, I surely would have dragged him to the police.” Xu Xia said nonchalantly.

”What hero?!” Luo Xiaoqian asked, puzzled.

”Another Chinese guy saw my bag being snatched, helped catch the bad guy, then got a little injured, so I treated him to a meal.” Xu Xia’s tone turned excited, ”That guy looked so refined and cultured, I didn’t expect him to have such guts. When he got stitched up, he was incredibly calm.”

”Whether he’s calm or not, I don’t know, but I think, dear Miss Xu, you don’t seem too calm yourself.” Luo Xiaoqian laughed lightly, ”What, the beauty can’t resist the hero’s charm?!”
