After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 473: Chapter 476 The Difference Between Men [1]

In the following days, the recording work continued.

Thanks to the thorough preparation beforehand, the entire recording process went smoothly, although hard work was inevitable.

In the blink of an eye, a week had passed, and with everyone’s cooperation, plus Luo Xiaoqian’s diligent work, the first half of the album’s five songs were successfully recorded.

”That’s amazing!” Jason took off his headphones, ”I suddenly realize that I’ve kind of fallen for Xiao Qian and don’t want to leave.”

Everyone in the recording studio laughed.

Since Jason had another job lined up and considering the intensity of Luo Xiaoqian’s work this week, Leng Zimo had initially divided the recording schedule into two parts. With this week’s work completed today, she now had a week’s rest, after which Jason would return to continue recording the remaining parts.

Yu Tong brought over the plane tickets booked for Jason and his assistant, while Zhuo Yannan backed up the master tapes on his computer and then deleted all the files from the recording booth’s computer.

These were all standard procedures for keeping the album confidential. The recording part was finished, and what followed were tasks like backing vocals, mixing, and other post-production work, which, for the sake of the album’s quality, would be carried out by Zhuo Yannan together with Jason in the United States.

To ensure that the album wouldn’t leak before its release, Zhuo Yannan and his assistant would personally oversee the entire process.

Luo Xiaoqian, along with Yu Tong and Xu Pei, accompanied Zhuo Yannan, Jason, and the others to the elevator.

”Sissi, take a good rest, and I’ll see you in a week!”

Jason smiled, hugged Luo Xiaoqian briefly, and stepped into the elevator.

Watching the elevator descend, the trio headed back to the recording studio. Yu Tong then said with a laugh, ”Xiao Qian, you really have worked hard this week. I haven’t scheduled any work for you in the next few days. Take a good rest and recharge for the upcoming recordings.”

”Sure!” Luo Xiaoqian stretched, ”I haven’t tidied up my room in a week, so I might as well do a big clean-up.”

”No way!” Yu Tong looked surprised, not expecting her to still do such chores herself, ”Xiao Qian, you really are a ’good wife and mother’!”

Luo Xiaoqian smiled but said nothing.

Meanwhile, Xu Pei felt a sourness growing inside her heart.

The three returned to the recording studio, and Luo Xiaoqian’s phone rang.

Seeing that it was Leng Zimo’s number, she answered the phone cheerfully, ”Hello?”

”Come downstairs directly, Xiao Ding is waiting for you,” Leng Zimo’s voice came from the receiver without delay.

”Where are we going?” Luo Xiaoqian asked, surprised.

”To see me, don’t you want to?” Leng Zimo asked with a chuckle from the other end.

”Of course, I do... just that...”

Leng Zimo cut her off, ”Then come downstairs.”

”Alright!” After hanging up, Luo Xiaoqian hummed a tune as she packed up the things on her desk, ”Yu Tong, I’m heading downstairs now. You three also take a week off; there’s nothing pressing anyway, and we’ve all worked hard these days!”

Seeing her manner, Yu Tong instantly knew it must be a special invitation and immediately responded with a smile.

”Yes, boss!”

Xu Pei, watching Luo Xiaoqian leave in high spirits, gripped the documents in her hand even tighter.

Picking up the files she held, she left the recording booth without a word and went straight to her own office. There, she immediately rummaged through her bag for Lu Hao’s business card and entered his mobile number into her phone. After a moment’s thought, however, she deleted the numbers.
