After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 457: Chapter 460: The Attitude of Father Leng【3】

World City.

Leng Zimo paused in the porch, turning his head to look at Luo Xiaoqian, who was dressed in home attire.

”Phone off, landline unplugged, no QQ, and without your permission, I definitely won’t leave World City, not even half a step!” Luo Xiaoqian repeated cheerfully the words he had said, ”Right?”

Leng Zimo touched her head with a bit of heartache, ”Two days, I will be ready for the press conference within two days, and then, you can move freely again.”

Actually, he didn’t want to restrict her like this, but he knew the reporters best. Right now, those guys would surely swarm like mad flies, desperately trying to sniff out some news from her.

Those guys were not like music fans, they were only after news, and to get an exclusive scoop, they would rudely expose all your scars. With just the slightest slip-up, they would latch on and not let go. She wouldn’t be able to handle such a situation.

”It’s okay, I need to prepare for the album anyway, and I can practice at home too.”

Luo Xiaoqian seemed very calm. After all she had been through with him, what was there to be afraid of now that they were finally together out in the open?

”Good. Later, I will ask Xiao Ding to send back ingredients. Eat lunch yourself, and I’ll come back to dine with you in the evening.” After a kiss on her forehead, Leng Zimo finally stepped out the door.

After tidying up the kitchen, Luo Xiaoqian inserted a CD of demos into the DVD player, played music, and then did the housework while listening.

Just as she finished tidying up the living room and was about to go upstairs, she heard a knock on the door.

The other person headed straight up, clearly a regular visitor, otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to open the gate downstairs.

”Coming!”

Luo Xiaoqian assumed it was the driver, Xiao Ding, coming to deliver the ingredients. She agreed with a shout and, slipping on her slippers, ran to open the door.

But when she pulled back the wooden door, instead of Xiao Ding, she saw the tall figure of Leng Lin through the security door’s grille.

”Mr. Leng... Mr.?”

Her surprise was evident.

”Not welcome?” asked Leng Lin from the other side of the door.

”Of course not...” Regaining her senses, Luo Xiaoqian hurried to open the door, ”Please, come in.”

Leng Lin stepped into the living room, his gaze sweeping over her casual homewear and apron.

”Sorry, I’ll go change into something else. I was just cleaning the rooms. Please, take a seat...” she said, turning to run upstairs to change, but on reaching the stairs she remembered she hadn’t offered him any tea, hurried back and said, ”Oh, what would you like to drink? I have Tieguanyin or Longjing?”

Leng Lin, standing in the middle of the living room, said, ”No need.”

”Okay then, make yourself comfortable, I’ll be right down!” Luo Xiaoqian turned and rushed upstairs.

Leng Lin’s gaze swept over the spotless coffee table and noticed a photo frame on the TV cabinet’s shelf. A hint of puzzlement flickered in his eyes as he stepped forward, took the photo frame from the shelf.

In the frame was a picture of Luo Xiaoqian with her father.

Looking at the photo of Luo Xiaoqian’s father, then at the small girl in his arms, Leng Lin turned his eyes towards the stairs.

”Luo... Luo Xiaoqian?!” he exclaimed.

Downstairs, Luo Xiaoqian changed quickly, immediately trotting down the stairs, ”So... sorry to keep you waiting.”

”Is this your photo?” Leng Lin asked.

Luo Xiaoqian glanced at the photo in his hand, ”Yes, that’s my father.”

Leng Lin turned to face her, ”His name is Luo Chuchen?”

Luo Xiaoqian was startled, ”You... know my father?!”
