After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 452: Chapter 455: Proposal [8]

Following the procedure from rehearsals, the dancer was supposed to stop half a foot away from Luo Xiaoqian’s face.

Although the director had requested that the closer the two actors were, the better, considering that Luo Xiaoqian would burst into laughter every time the male actor tried to get close to her, there was nothing the director could do. He had to keep their distance at more than half a foot to ensure the performance effect.

But this time, with Leng Zimo, Luo Xiaoqian certainly did not laugh.

Singing such a love song, dancing such a dance, and looking into such a pair of loving eyes, all she felt in her own eyes was happiness and tranquility.

The two hugged on stage, and Leng Zimo’s lips gradually approached hers, stopping less than an inch away.

”Kiss her, kiss her!”

Someone shouted from the crowd.

And then, everyone began to chant it together.

”Kiss her, kiss her!”

...

The scene was so beautiful that it made the audience forget this was just a performance, and they instinctively hoped this man and woman would truly end up together, just as the lyrics and dance suggested.

When Luo Xiaoqian heard the shouting from the audience, her face reddened, and she tightly grasped his arm, about to stand up.

At the same time, Leng Zimo’s lips had already descended.

Their lips met directly.

The close-up on the big screen fully displayed this moment; all the audience members stood up, with screams and whistles echoing throughout the venue.

Luo Xiaoqian’s eyes widened in surprise, thinking it was a mismatch in coordination between them that led to this situation.

She was momentarily dazed, but at that moment, Leng Zimo had already pressed his lips to hers.

This was not acting; it was a real kiss!

After the initial chaos, within his embrace and kiss, Luo Xiaoqian seemed to understand something.

Without holding back any longer, she wrapped her arms around him, returning his kiss.

If he was ready to announce everything to the world, then she would stand by his side.

No matter if the world’s response was blessings, criticism, or even more difficulties and obstacles... as long as he held her hand, she would stand firmly with him.

Under the spotlight, a man and a woman embraced deeply in a kiss.

In the room, only one beam of light illuminated the couple, the light casting a dazzling halo around them, making that scene as beautiful as a picturesque moment in a film.

Down in the audience, many couples who had come together to the concert naturally began to hold each other’s hands.

After a while, the two slowly parted their lips.

Raising his hand, Leng Zimo gently brushed a few stray strands of hair from Luo Xiaoqian’s face, and while gazing into her eyes, he spoke.

”Xiao Qian, marry me!”

Luo Xiaoqian was petrified on the spot.

She had thought that Leng Zimo would take this opportunity to announce their relationship to the public, but she never expected that he... he would propose to her at this moment.

While she was dumbfounded, Leng Zimo had already stepped back, knelt on one knee, and extended his right hand downward. In his palm lay a prepared ring box with a circular ring inside, twinkling brilliantly under the light.

Taking out the ready microphone from his pocket, he looked at her and spoke.

”I know you must be surprised, that I didn’t seek your approval beforehand and made all of this public,” his voice deep and filled with emotion, ”Originally, I could have prepared better, but I just couldn’t wait any longer. Xiao Qian, you can’t imagine how desperately I want to completely own your heart. Please say yes, marry me!”
