Daddy Always Gets Jealous

And then, resolutely, she left home and ran away!

...

Back then, she naively believed that without love, they could slowly cultivate it, that maybe after getting married everything would get better, and she was even deeply moved by that thought.

Huo Jinyun cut off all of Gu Jizhou’s financial sources, even cancelling his credit cards.

She lived in the school dormitory, while Gu Jizhou lived in a civilian house outside the school, paying less than two hundred yuan a month for rent.

At first, the month went well, he took care of her, accompanied her on walks at night, walked her to her dormitory...

At night, she worked hard in the library, and he would always wait for her there, reading books. On weekends, when she worked part-time jobs outside, he would wait for her for hours nearby on a broken bicycle he bought for thirty yuan...

Back then, this pampered young master used to wear T-shirts that cost only about ten yuan, eat instant noodles that cost one or two yuan, and even tried to find some part-time jobs...

But due to his temper, he could never last long!

This happiness lasted only three months.

After three months, he couldn’t stand living in poverty anymore, his temper gradually got worse, he grew impatient, and suddenly told her to get an abortion!

She didn’t agree, and they had a cold war for three days.

He went back home and left her alone on the street in the middle of the night, where she was even robbed, right on the street near the school.

If it hadn’t been for a classmate who happened to pass by and see her, one dared not imagine what might have happened!

A few days later, he came back, and who knows what changed Huo Jinyun’s mind, she suddenly agreed to their marriage, but it had to be a hidden one, no one was allowed to know.

There was no wedding, no diamond ring, just a simple marriage certificate they registered for.

For the sake of her child, she endured it all, simply because she didn’t want her child to go through what she had!

On their wedding night, he came home drunk and didn’t return all night, while she was hospitalized to save her pregnancy.

The next day, she received a video, in which the male lead was her husband of one day...

Sitting on the bed, staring blankly at the IV bag above her head, she didn’t dare to cry out loud, sobbing quietly with soft whimpers!

When he came back and saw this, he threw the phone out of the window, ”It’s an old video.”

After saying ”I’m sorry,” he brought the woman from the video the next day to clarify the time it was recorded.

Just having gotten married, for the sake of the child, she accepted this imperfect marriage!

He squatted down, sat beside her, with red eyes looking at her, ”Huanhuan, after being with you, I won’t mess around. Trust me!”

...

What was the cost of trust?

She had always thought she gave her first time to him, only to be repaid by his repeated affairs and infidelities!

Once, angry and upset, she suffered a threatened miscarriage and was hospitalized to save the pregnancy.

Gu Jizhou thought she was asleep and whispered to the nurse, ”Switch the pregnancy-preserving drug with mifepristone and misoprostol tablets.”

Even now, she vividly remembered the nurse’s voice, ”Mr. Gu, the fetus is already six months along, an abortion with these drugs could also be dangerous for Ms. Cheng.”

”Just do what I say and switch them, no need for so much nonsense!” he barked.

She lay there, listening silently, her hand involuntarily covering her belly, not understanding why he didn’t want the child.

Personal experience told her that children are happier living with their biological parents. For the sake of the child in her womb, she pretended she hadn’t heard anything, deceiving herself by thinking that he was just too young, that he wasn’t ready to be a father so soon, and that things would get better, that he would slowly grow up...

Until the day she was about to give birth, as she was pushed into the delivery room, and he, with cold eyes and colder words, said, ”Don’t want the child. Go through with the induced labor!”
