Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”...”

Uncle Lu looked at Huo Jinnan, completely taken aback by his master’s words!

Huo Jinnan rolled up his sleeves and glanced at his wristwatch, ”There’s still time, go ahead.”

Uncle Lu responded and quickly went out the door, dialing the little one’s number as he walked, ”Young master, I just left, I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”

The little one felt quite embarrassed at first, but receiving Uncle Lu’s call soothed his irritation a lot; he turned to Che Huan, ”Huanhuan, Uncle Lu will be here soon, it seems like he’s finished with his work.”

Che Huan liked the little one, but she didn’t want to get overly involved with his family, after all, they weren’t just any ordinary household, ”The bus is almost here, I’ll take you over.”

The little one ”oh”ed, looking at the very big vehicle he had never ridden in, very curious about what it was like inside. It must feel quite different, right?

Besides, it would be nice to ride with Huanhuan!

In a few minutes, the bus arrived, and Che Huan and the little one got on, finding two empty seats just in time.

The little one wanted to sit with Che Huan but was too shy to say so, so he reluctantly took a seat to the side.

At the next stop, seeing an elderly grandma board, he quickly stood up first, ”Grandma, please sit here.”

The grandma said ”thank you,” surprised that someone so young was so sensible and polite, and even looked like something out of a painting, ”Young man, you’re so well-behaved, have a seat.”

The little one insisted, helped the grandma sit down, and then went over to Che Huan’s side.

Che Huan hugged the little one in her arms, helping him straighten his collar, ”Hanhan is really well-behaved.”

The little one pursed his lips, his face secretly flushed with the praise he heard around him, feeling a bit embarrassed; in truth, he just wanted to sit with Huanhuan!

After a while, he received a call from Uncle Lu.

Uncle Lu had left South Garden, heading towards the kindergarten, ”Young master, I’m almost there, where are you and Miss Che?”

”Oh, it’s like this, you’re too late, we’re already on the bus, Uncle Lu, you can go back.” The little one sat in Che Huan’s arms, glanced around at the people standing nearby, found it novel, and thought that riding the bus was not so bad.

”Then, young master, be careful, the bus can be bumpy, don’t fall over.”

Uncle Lu never thought he’d see the day when the young master would ride a bus!

After giving his word of caution, Uncle Lu hung up the phone, made a turn with the car, and saw Gu Jizhou’s car coming his way, his expression subtly changing.

With the screech of tires, Gu Jizhou stopped the car and got out quickly, walking over, ”Uncle Lu, are you off to take Xiaowei to school?”

Uncle Lu rolled down the window a crack, making sure that from young master’s perspective he couldn’t see the backseat, and chuckled, ”Yes, that’s right.”

Gu Jizhou glanced at the time, ”Seems a bit late, doesn’t it?”

Uncle Lu ”hmm”ed, ”That’s true. On our way, the young master realized he forgot his pencil case and we had to go back for it. We’re in a hurry, I’ll take the young master to school first.”

Gu Jizhou stood there, staring at Uncle Lu, ”Oh? I wonder how things are going with Uncle Lu and his girlfriend?”

”The girl is young, has a bit of a temper... she’s been giving me the silent treatment these days. I’m getting older and don’t know how to coax her. It’s really a headache. Young master, please go ahead with your business, I should take Xiaowei to school.” Uncle Lu smiled and shook his head, closing the driver’s side window, started the car, and drove off.

Gu Jizhou stood for a while, walked over to his car, and thought of Che Huan’s mysterious disappearance for seven days, unable to find a trace of her, he picked up his phone, ”Are you sure he hasn’t gone anywhere else?”
