Chapter 1399: Chapter 374: End of War (3)

William II said: ”This is also one of the reasons we are considering a ceasefire. The Labor Party is very active in Europe, and they’ve even infiltrated the military. I think this is very frightening, as Tsarist Russia serves as a previous example.”

The ideology of the Labor Party is very appealing to the lower ranks of the military. It was during the war that Tsarist Russia’s negligence led to the rise of the Russian Labor Party.

After all, in peacetime, the Tsarist government wouldn’t worry about the changing circumstances of the frontline. Instead, they could use the army, a violent machine, to suppress Labor Party organizations.

However, it was actually because of the war that the Labor Party found the space to operate. In fact, referencing the previous Paris Labor Party, they also gained momentum by leveraging the war. The French Government, though, is definitely far more sophisticated than Tsarist Russia, choosing to sell out the nation rather than nurturing the Paris Labor Party from its very beginnings.

William II said: ”In short, continuing the war is certainly not beneficial for us. The primary task of European countries now should be to stabilize domestic situations while also cracking down on illegal parties like the Labor Party, and you all should do the same.”

The Ottoman Empire accepted this notion because the threat of the Labor Party is indeed imminent. You could say, centering on Russia, Labor Party organizations are active from Northern Europe to Eastern Europe, then the Middle East, Central Asia, and finally the Far East.

The success of the Russian Labor Party set a very bad precedent. Being successful once means it can be successful again, and in previous developments, this was indeed the case. Eventually, a widely distributed Labor Party state alliance formed across Eurasia.

When dealing with such a country, the imperialist powers today clearly lack mature experience, especially when it comes to countering the ideological weapons of the Labor Party.

Even Ernst is this way. But even if Ernst hasn’t eaten pork, he’s seen pigs run, so he has some methods for dealing with the ideological weapons of the Russian Labor Party. But if he truly wants to eliminate the Russian Labor Party, there is only one way, which is ’isolation,’ a method used by the United States in the past.

Once isolated, such countries will easily fall into economic difficulty, eventually self-destructing due to psychological disparity.

...

Christmas Eve in 1919 was an unforgettable day for Europeans because on this day, countries such as UK, France, Germany, and Austria officially began peace talks, signaling the end of the five-year-long war.

Countries like UK, France, Germany, and Austria held public meetings in Paris, France to fiercely debate on war issues.

Of course, this peace talk was mainly staged for the people, as the general tone had already been set during the previous two secret peace meetings.

This public meeting also basically represents the arrival of European peace. Both sides’ military forces officially ended all military operations, waiting for the meeting to conclude before withdrawing to their respective countries.

As for the end of the war, the public sentiment across various countries was very complex: some were joyful, some were melancholy, some were confused, and some were hateful.

However, most Europeans had clearly had enough of the war, leading to extensive celebrations across European countries.

At the same time, a rehabilitation campaign was being carried out under the leadership of various governments, with large numbers of people being labeled as Labor Party members, traitors, and others. Though arrested, they were to bear the public’s anger towards the war. The governments of various European countries understood this very clearly: the people needed an outlet. If the contradictions weren’t transferred to these special groups, the people might emulate those who stormed the Bastille, turning their guns on themselves.
