Chapter 1375: Chapter 366: Media Warfare (Part 3)

And the smaller the workshop, the more likely they are to do things for money, including secretly printing anti-United Kingdom government statements, as long as the price is right, it is worth a try.

Following Balderston’s orders, the Edinburgh group immediately launched actions the next day. Soon, various anti-Semitic remarks and conspiracy theories appeared in many small newspapers in Edinburgh, causing a heated reaction in Edinburgh.

”Hey, Blair, do you think what this newspaper says is true? Jews are bribing government officials to provoke a war between the United Kingdom and Germany.”

”Laures, I believe it’s true. After all, the Jews are indeed very suspicious. The newspapers say that they are inciting this war to profit from it.”

”The economic crisis was also caused by them. War is just a distraction to divert the public’s attention, prompting the war in Europe.”

”Also, the Rothschild family is terrifying. They have enormous influence in every country in Europe, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. The newspapers say Jews are infiltrating our Imperial Government.”

”According to the internal information mentioned in the newspaper, our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Belfort, has accepted bribes from Jews to support their nation-building activities.”

”This is truly terrible. According to the newspapers, Jews believe that only they are the greatest nation, and other people, including us Scots, are barbaric and crude.”

”But in fact, the newspaper also said Jews only engage in usury, causing many poor people to lose everything.”

”Indeed, what the opera says about Jews is correct. Shakespeare wrote it perfectly; Jews are all Shylock...”

For a while, anti-Semitic rhetoric in Edinburgh surged, and in the wartime atmosphere, the suppression of public discourse made these rampant rumors more likely to resonate with Scots. After all, these rumors not only disparaged Jews but also ridiculed the United Kingdom government, which was the Scots’ favorite pastime.

Meanwhile, similar rhetoric appeared in many United Kingdom cities, including London. Due to the East African National Defense Security Bureau’s agitation, anti-war and anti-Semitic sentiments again became popular throughout the United Kingdom, more tumultuous than before.

Although East Africa is also against the Labor Party, the Labor Party’s reputation in Europe is actually quite good, so it is difficult to resonate, since the Labor Party’s slogans are still very attractive to United Kingdom labor groups.

In early 1919, with East Africa increasing the scale of the propaganda war against Europe, a new wave of anti-Semitism surged again, even surpassing the calls for peace.

This is actually easy to understand; East Africa’s anti-war propaganda is bound to the Jews, and since Jews were defined by East Africa as the cause of the war outbreak in Europe, the blind masses in Europe naturally focused all their anger on the Jews.

And with public sentiment surging, governments of various countries also need to pay attention to this powerful force. Even European officials who truly received benefits from Jews dare not show their faces at this time. Defending Jews now would confirm collusion with them.

The so-called gathering for profit and scattering when it’s gone, the interest relationships maintained by Jewish groups through money and some European bureaucrats and aristocrats were easily dismantled. European bureaucrats and aristocrats abandoned their ”friends” without hesitation.

Moreover, some countries have already begun preparing for a fresh round of exploitation. Of course, East Africa does not care about the attitude of European governments towards Jews, but rather focuses on whether governments are sincere in ending the war. The outcome is positive; under the offensive of this propaganda war, various governments are finally willing to conduct preliminary negotiations.
