Chapter 1363: Chapter 362: Preparing to Intervene in the European War (3)

”This also means they are not far from failure; their continued resistance is entirely reliant on the support from Japan.”

”Japan is very concerned about the situation in Soviet Russia, and according to our intelligence, Japan is currently the only country intervening in the Russian Civil War and providing substantial military support to the Labor Party’s enemies.”

”Even the Russian White forces in the Far East have mostly switched to Japanese weapons, and Japan has dispatched part of its military to attempt to control Russia’s sphere of influence in the Far East.”

It can be said that the delay of World War I has led to significant changes in the circumstances of the Russian Labor Party.

In a previous life, World War I ended completely in 1918, and then countries like the United Kingdom eagerly sent troops to intervene in the Russian Civil War, which directly led to the Soviet Civil War that lasted for three years.

Although this war only lasted three years, it caused enormous damage to Russia’s population and industry, with a loss of nearly ten million in population, many production facilities destroyed, nearly three thousand five hundred railway bridges blown up, countless livestock and raw materials plundered, mines flooded, and machines destroyed.

The intention of the great powers to intervene in Soviet Russia was very clear: it was very much like a war launched by the Far East Empire against a southern country in the past life. When they could not achieve the expected results, they destroyed the enemy’s production facilities, thereby plunging them into economic distress and severing their future development potential.

However, now the Allies and the League of Nations are still fiercely fighting, and the situation faced by the Russian Labor Party is quite different from the past life.

The only two major powers with the energy and capability to intervene in Russia are East Africa and Japan. Given East Africa’s passive stance, Japan’s support for the Russian White Army is fundamentally insufficient to change the situation in Russia.

Ernst asked, ”Then when do you estimate the Russian Civil War will likely end?”

Cristiano replied, ”If nothing unexpected happens, the Russian Civil War could basically end by the end of this year. Of course, according to the current progress of the Russian army, the war may be completely over in just a few months.”

”Although the Russian White Army in the Far East has Japan’s support, the Russian Labor Party has inherited the deep reserves from the Tsarist Russia era, and their industrial strength is far beyond what Japan can compare to. Currently, the Russian Labor Party has resumed production activities in the European region.”

From Cristiano’s words, it can be seen how thriving the Russian Labor Party is now. Without external forces’ support, the Russian Labor Party can more smoothly eliminate the Russian reactionaries and take over national assets.

Although much territory was lost due to the Kyiv Treaty, Russia’s fundamental base still exists, especially the Saint Petersburg Industrial Zone, Central Industrial Region, or Moscow Industrial Zone and other important industrial bases, which are still controlled by the Russian Labor Party.

Backed by the strong military-industrial foundation left by the Tsarist government, along with an army that has undergone preliminary ideological reform and possesses stubborn combat will, the Russian Labor Party can naturally speed through the country without much difficulty. In fact, in a previous life, if there was no intervention from other countries, other Russian forces could not have spread within Russia and caused significant damage to the Russian economy.

Ernst said, ”It seems we cannot wait any longer; if the Russian war ends quickly, a formidable regime will emerge in Europe. If we continue to allow European countries to fight, then the Russian Labor Party will truly control Europe in the future.”

Ernst’s words are not an exaggeration; Europe itself is an active area for the Labor Party, and having endured such a long war, the lives of European citizens can be described as extremely arduous, making it easier for the European Labor Party to incite more citizens. If the war in Europe continues, the past events in Tsarist Russia could repeat, while under the leadership of the Labor Party, Russia could take advantage of the opportunity to rise, potentially successfully reaping the whole of Europe. Then the United States and East Africa would be completely reduced to jesters.
