Chapter 1366: Chapter 363: Stirring Up Trouble (Part 3)

Belton said, ”You’re right, the East Africans are probably not exaggerating. The death of tens of millions of people is nearly equivalent to the direct loss of a Great Power’s population, not to mention the countless wounded. Those who haven’t died in the war may face an even bleaker future.”

”But, the East Africans claim that the Jewish people are the instigators of this war...”

Green, addressing Belton’s hesitation, said, ”This is indeed a terrifying thought. The Jews hold enormous sway in the financial industry, influencing governments in the United Kingdom, Germany, and others.”

”And the direct cause of the war was the economic crisis, which was reportedly orchestrated by the Jews. So, there’s a possibility that the Jews did indeed orchestrate this war.”

At the start of the 20th century in Europe, Jews were considered the worst of the worst, even more notorious than the Arabian heretics. It’s understandable; since the Age of Exploration began, the Arabian Countries have been on the decline, and today they can’t possibly threaten Europe.

Moreover, the Arabian Sect is confined to the Middle East, with no direct interaction with the European people. In contrast, Jews live in Europe and have penetrated every industry, profoundly affecting ordinary people.

Of course, the East Africans pointed out the Jews through the Rhine Society not to promote conspiracy theories; although in the past, Jewish capital leveraged the United States to dominate the world, currently the Jews clearly lack that capability, and their influence remains confined to the European economic field.

Europe’s political and cultural domains remain firmly controlled by the old classes, especially the nobility, in places like the United Kingdom, Germany, and Austria-Hungary.

Setting up Jews as scapegoats offers numerous advantages to East Africa. It provides countries with a graceful excuse to end the war.

Since Jews are the ones who started the war, if peace is genuinely to be achieved, everyone can vent their anger on the Jews, thus quelling public outrage. After years of fighting, without some resolution, angry citizens might truly turn to the Labor Party.

World War I was meant to distract from economic and social conflicts, and to end the war, someone must suffer. Moreover, Jews are not blameless, having profited greatly during the war. If their assets were seized, it would substantially help governments through the post-war financial crisis.

East Africa evidently is unafraid of provoking Jewish capital, primarily because Eastern African capital emerged victorious from the siege by Jewish capital. East Africa’s long periods of self-imposed isolation were partly to prevent this group from exploiting East Africa through economic means.

When Ernst managed the Heixinggen conglomerate in Europe, he frequently faced siege from Jewish capital, but thanks to the protection of the old nobles of Germany and Austria, he was able to survive and thrive.

Thus, Ernst’s targeting of Jews is partly an act of retribution, and to prevent the collapse of the old European noble order. After all, the Rhein Royal Family itself represents an extension of this old order in Africa.

In summary, East Africa’s statement in their proposal is quite intriguing. In essence, World War I is portrayed as a Jewish conspiracy, devised to have nations massacre each other, implying that once Jews are dealt with, peace will prevail globally.

East Africa even links Jews with the Russian Labor Party, but their account is factual; the upper echelons of the Russian Labor Party indeed have many Jews. In history, Comrade Steel, Joseph, used purges to eliminate many Jews within the Labor Party.

Nevertheless, East Africa hardly falsely accuses Jews. Since the advent of the capitalist Era, the Jews have swiftly risen, particularly due to their influence over the financial industry.

To a certain degree, Jews represent a more advanced mode of production and production relations, since the rise of capitalism is a historical trend, directly aiding the Jews in gaining more political power through capital.

Put simply, the Jews’ rise wasn’t solely due to their intellect and wisdom but rather the opportunities granted by the Era. Under the old European aristocratic system, Jews could only engage in lending and commerce, seen as ”lowly” occupations, acting as Europe’s wallet. However, once the capitalist Era began, this wallet truly devoured its master.

Historically, this is not unprecedented; consider the Mamluks of Egypt’s ruling class, who were originally Egyptian slaves, albeit they rose through military means while Jews relied on financial power.

Therefore, to the ruling class, military and financial power, along with cultural and intellectual control, must never be handed to others. The best example of this would be the Far East Empire, where the scholar-officials once firmly controlled the military and business sectors while holding intellectual supremacy. This is one reason for the immense difficulty in modernizing the Far East Empire.
