Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

Completely unscathed!

Lucifer’s field-wiping strike, the rolling darkness, passed right over the Sarcophagus—leaving not even a scratch.

Jaden murmured, ”This Sarcophagus contains Mr. Yugi’s will...”

He didn’t continue, but thought of his own Super Polymerization. The card gained through Supreme King’s sacrifice—wasn’t that also a continuation of his will?

”And, the ’Gadget Trio’ you just destroyed,” Kira added, ”when this card is destroyed by battle or effect, I can set the Continuous Trap ’Stronghold the Hidden Fortress’ from my Deck.”

The Wicked God grunted heavily.

”But what’s the point if only that card remains?”

He spoke coldly.

”Everything else on your field has been destroyed by Lucifer. Next comes your end!

I activate ’The First Darklord’s’ other effect!

Once per turn, during either Main Phase, pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon any Fairy-type monster from your hand or Graveyard in Defense Position!”

[Wicked God, LP 6600 → LP 5600]

A dark light shot out from the Wicked God’s Graveyard, blood-red feathers swirling in the air. The Darklord who had just been banished this turn was already back from the dead.

”Darklord Superbia!”

[Darklord Superbia, DEF 2400]

”Heh, let’s see you use that damned Sarcophagus to block my revival this time,” the Wicked God taunted.

Kira replied, ”The Shining Sarcophagus can send a revived monster back to the Graveyard, but this effect can only be activated once per turn.”

The Wicked God snorted. ”Lucifer’s effect revives the Darklord in Defense, but at that moment, Superbia’s effect also activates!

When Darklord Superbia is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, it can revive another Darklord!

Come back to the field, Darklord Tezcatlipoca!”

[Darklord Tezcatlipoca, ATK 2800]

In an instant, three great Darklords stood on the field!

Jaden: ”Even with Kira and the Sarcophagus, the Wicked God really isn’t easy to deal with...”

All attacks were neutralized, yet he could immediately reorganize a counterattack. Such relentless aggression, such resilience...

No wonder he was considered the most troublesome of all the Wicked Gods. Jaden thought, if he had to face him, it would be a tough battle.

But Kira’s field was now empty. Even though the Sarcophagus remained, providing sustainability, the situation was still dangerous.

Yet Jaden wasn’t worried.

If it’s Kira, he’ll find a way.

”Die!” the Wicked God roared. ”The First Darklord, direct attack!”

Sure enough, just as Lucifer’s sword fell, at the very last moment—

Kira muttered, almost to himself, ”Now, you ought to be useful, at least a little, right?”

”How rude!”

A protesting voice shouted.

”I’ve always been super useful, okay!?”

As he spoke, a big eye flew out, leaping in front of Kira on the field.

Jaden: ”Ah! That spirit!”

But he remembered—hadn’t this spirit lost all its data?

The next moment, the eye began to glow, resonating with the Sarcophagus!

That’s right, it was said to be a guardian spirit. To hide the sealed location, it had erased its own memory and information.

Then could this card be related to the Sarcophagus...?

”Seal, release!”

”OOOOHH——”

The Eye let out a hot-blooded protagonist’s shout, bathed in golden light from the Sarcophagus, rapidly taking physical form. Its momentum was overwhelming, shaking the heavens as if to unleash suppressed power.

The light faded.

Everyone looked down at the tiny figure, barely as tall as a person’s knee.

Such a small creature, yet it stood proudly, as if nothing could stop it.

Jaden hesitated: ”Are you... Moremarshmallon?”

The classic monster of Yugi Muto—Moremarshmallon.

[Moremarshmallon, DEF 500]

Moremarshmallon glared angrily, ”Who started that rumor about my ATK being 0!?”

”Nonsense! Slander!”

”It’s 300, okay!”

Everyone: ”...”

KaibaCorp’s tests had estimated its ATK was 0 when it had lost all data, but with missing information, some error was natural.

But 300 ATK is basically nothing—almost the same as 0.

No, actually, monsters with 200-300 ATK are usually the weakest.

Of course, not always. Kuriboh and its family have only a few hundred ATK, yet have always been key cards.

Moremarshmallon was a similar type of monster.

”Moremarshmallon’s effect,” Kira said, ”if you control the Shining Sarcophagus, you can Special Summon this card from your hand at any time during your opponent’s turn.”

The Wicked God frowned. ”Just a weakling, only buying you a little more time.

Battle continues! The First Darklord, crush this trash!”

Lucifer’s sword slashed down, striking the fluffy Moremarshmallon. The blade sunk in, but Moremarshmallon instantly rebounded, sending the sword flying back.

Wicked God: ”NANI?!”

”Sorry,” Kira said, ”but Moremarshmallon can’t be destroyed by battle.”

He smiled.

”And, while Moremarshmallon is on the field, your opponent cannot choose other monsters as attack targets.”

Jaden gasped, no longer daring to underestimate this harmless-looking, almost comical monster.

Can’t be destroyed by battle—troublesome on its own. Add the forced-attack effect, and it’s an impenetrable shield.

And it can be Special Summoned from the hand during your opponent’s turn—just like Kuriboh’s hand-trap effect, but even stronger!

So the best way is to get rid of it by card effect...

Sure enough, the Wicked God roared: ”Petty trick!

Now, activate Darklord Tezcatlipoca’s effect! Pay 1000 Life Points, copy the effect of a Darklord Spell/Trap in the Graveyard!

This can be used in the opponent’s turn, even in the Battle Phase!”

[Wicked God, LP 5600 → LP 4600]

”I copy the Trap ’Darklord Rebellion’ from the Grave! Normally, it requires sending a Darklord from hand or field to the Graveyard as cost, but copying it with a Darklord’s effect needs no cost!

Destroy any card on the field!”

He shouted:

”Destroy Moremarshmallon!”
