Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

Spell Card—Divine Evolution!

The instant it appeared, the atmosphere changed. A transparent black tornado roared across the field, pitch-black lightning crashing down, a formless storm of darkness swirling around the Wicked God, accompanied by furious howls.

Both Jaden and Kaiba’s faces changed.

They’d both fought the Wicked God before; they knew this card well.

A superior spell that could raise a god’s rank!

No one knew where these Wicked Gods got such a card, but its power was real. The Eraser, usually a lower-tier god, could now stand against Ra.

Just like back in the day, when Atem used Divine Evolution to upgrade a lesser Divine Beast’s rank, letting it hurt the top-tier The Wicked Avatar.

”Use Divine Evolution to upgrade the Eraser!”

The dark whirlwind engulfed the Eraser, whose aura skyrocketed. Red light shone in its eyes as it let out a piercing roar. Its claws shattered the earth; even its body seemed to grow taller.

Before, it could only bow before Ra; now it lifted its head, chest out, unafraid to meet Ra head-on.

”An evolved Wicked God gains +1000 ATK/DEF,” the Wicked God said. ”Battle! The Eraser attacks the Winged Dragon of Ra!”

Even with its boost, the Eraser was still weaker than Ra. But no one doubted this attack order.

Because the evolved god now had absolute power—unblockable and inescapable.

”Divine Evolution grants the Eraser a new ability!” the Wicked God declared. ”When it attacks, the opponent must send one monster from their field to the graveyard!”

It didn’t matter how high Ra’s rank was, or how much resistance it had—even Kaiba’s invincible Ultimate Dragon had fallen to this.

At this moment, Kira only had Ra on the field, so he had no choice but to send the Divine Beast to the graveyard.

But—

”At this instant, I discard ’Ankuriboh’ from my hand! Effect activates!”

The other two Wicked Gods didn’t react, but Dreadroot’s eyelid twitched.

Kuriboh!?

He’d just been done in by Kaiba’s last Kuriboh, now he was getting PTSD.

But the Kuriboh clan is always valiant—this wasn’t even the same Kuriboh as before.

Kira said, ”Ankuriboh can activate when the opponent declares an attack. I can Special Summon any monster from my graveyard, but no matter what, it’ll be sent back to the graveyard at the end of the turn.”

Usually, it’s a life-saving card—Special Summon a blocker from the graveyard, but it’ll leave at the end of the turn regardless.

But this time, things were different.

”I revive ’Witch of the Black Forest’ from my graveyard,” Kira smiled.

The robed witch emerged from the graveyard’s vortex, eyes closed, standing calmly on the field once more.

The Wicked God’s face darkened. ”You’re going to use this weakling instead of Ra?”

”Later effects resolve first—so first, Ankuriboh’s effect Special Summons Witch of the Black Forest. Then, the Eraser’s effect forces me to send a monster from my field to the graveyard.”

Kira smiled.

”Effects that target the player are inescapable—whether it’s a God or a monster with absolute resistance, it can’t block it. But the downside is, I get to choose which monster to send.”

He pointed to the revived witch.

”I’ll send ’Witch of the Black Forest’ to the graveyard.”

The Wicked God gritted his teeth, but there was nothing he could do. If Kira only had Ra, he could guarantee the kill, but with a last-minute blocker, he was foiled.

And it wasn’t over. As the Witch was dragged back to the graveyard, a magic spell exploded in the air, shooting energy into Kira’s deck.

”At this moment, Witch of the Black Forest’s effect activates. When sent to the graveyard, I can add a monster with 1500 or less DEF from my deck to my hand. We’ve used this effect before, surely you haven’t forgotten, Wicked Gods?”

The Wicked God’s face was ugly.

Kira showed the card auto-searched from his deck. ”I’ll add ’Silent Magician Zero,’ who has 1000 DEF, to my hand.”

Jaden praised, ”Not only did he avoid losing Ra, but he also got a deck search out of it! Impressive, Kira!”

Kira waved casually toward his direction, as if saying, relax, it’s just basic technique.

It was a simple gesture, but it perfectly showcased his disdain for the Wicked Gods, with an air of, ”Dealing with you three is child’s play.”

Naturally, the Wicked Gods were even angrier.

”The number of monsters on your field has changed. The battle reverts,” the Wicked God said, suppressing his anger.

”I won’t attack.”

The Eraser protested, ”Big bro, I think I can take it!”

After evolving, the Eraser was feeling confident. He could go for a kamikaze attack, let Ra destroy him, and his effect would drag Ra down with him—a one-for-one trade with the supreme Divine Beast!

But the other two Wicked Gods just looked at him like he was an idiot.

Moron.

We only have 1000 LP left! If you die, there’s no one-for-one trade. Ra will just finish us off!

Avatar ignored him, silently playing another card.

”Quick-Play Spell: ’Mystik Wok.’ Tribute a monster on the field to regain LP equal to its ATK or DEF.”

Avatar pointed expressionlessly to the Eraser.

”Fry this idiot, gain LP equal to its ATK.”

Eraser: ”???”
