Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”Even though it’s rare to summon an Egyptian God, I did end up giving it to you, and now my field is empty again. Sigh, what can I do? That’s just how kind and generous I am,” Kira shook his head helplessly.

The Three Wicked Gods: ”...”

”Anyway, if I get attacked next turn, I’ll be in danger,” Kira continued, ”so just to be safe, I’ll activate this set card.”

”Spell Card: ’One Day of Peace’! Both players draw one card from their decks, but until the end of your next turn, all damage either of us would take becomes zero.”

As both players drew cards, a One Day of Peace agreement materialized in midair, casting a gentle golden glow that enveloped both fields.

The Avatar’s expression turned frigid.

He even sealed off attacks for the next turn.

”My turn ends,” said Kira.

The Wicked God replied gloomily, ”My turn. Draw.”

He glanced at his hand. His hand wasn’t full, and he had limited moves. Plus, under the effect of ’One Day of Peace’ this turn, he couldn’t inflict any battle damage anyway.

Defense seemed like the only viable choice.

But…

The Wicked God looked up at the floating, shiny bird-egg on his field, then at Kira’s calm, confident demeanor. He couldn’t help but grit his teeth.

No, he couldn’t stand it. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.

His eyes widened. ”Battle! The The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode, direct attack! GO! ATTACK!!!”

Of course, this attack was meaningless. The Sphere Mode’s ATK was 0, and even if it wasn’t, ’One Day of Peace’ made all battle damage zero.

So this attack was probably just to vent his frustration.

After all, the opponent left a giant bird egg on his field. He had to at least boss around this cursed Winged Dragon of Ra while he could.

But it was pointless.

The spherical Winged Dragon of Ra floated serenely, as if it hadn’t even heard him, completely unresponsive.

”WHY!?” The Wicked God raged. ”Can an Egyptian God just openly ignore the rules!?”

Of course, he knew that was impossible. Anything that appeared on the dueling field was bound by the rules.

Kira chuckled, ”Don’t be angry, Wicked God. The Sphere Mode of the Winged Dragon of Ra can’t attack. You’re asking too much of it.”

”The Sphere Mode can’t declare attacks, but it also can’t be targeted by attacks or card effects.”

In other words, while the bird egg was on the Wicked God’s field, Kira couldn’t attack it either.

The Wicked God grunted sulkily.

”I set a card and end my turn.”

But as soon as he ended his turn—

The sacred golden sphere in the air slowly floated back, arrogantly returning to Kira’s side, hovering peacefully on his field.

Wicked God: ”!?”

What’s going on now?

”Oh, Sphere Mode returns to its original controller’s field at the end of the next turn after it’s summoned,” explained Kira.

Wicked God: ”...”

”Now, my turn. Draw!” Kira raised his hand. ”This turn, I’ll reveal the true form of the God!

The ever-changing flames of Heaven and Earth, transforming into eternal light that illuminates the world—

—Sphere Mode, transform!”

In truth, Kira was just giving it a try.

Sphere Mode’s effect allowed it to be tributed to Special Summon the true Winged Dragon of Ra from the deck. But Kira’s deck didn’t originally have that card.

He’d tried this effect before, against The Supreme King, but the Winged Dragon of Ra didn’t respond—nothing happened.

But he didn’t mind trying again; there was nothing to lose. If it worked, great. If not, he’d just try something else.

This time, though, he felt confident. After all, his opponents were the Three Wicked Gods, and this time the Sphere Mode had been summoned using all three as tribute. There was no reason for the Winged Dragon of Ra to refuse.

Sure enough, cracks began to appear on the golden sphere floating in midair, each crack radiating with the divine glow of the sun.

At the same time, the miniature Millennium Puzzle appeared before Kira’s chest. A ball of golden light shot out from the artifact, hovering above him like the shadow of a regal king. Its eyes were closed, arms crossed before its chest, silently chanting an incantation.

This was the program written into the artifact, calling forth the descent of God. The incantation was the ancient priestly language required for the Winged Dragon of Ra’s summoning.

Even Kaiba, watching from off-field, was moved.

This guy… he’s really about to summon a God again!

”Supreme Divine Beast—The Winged Dragon of Ra, descend!”

The golden sphere cracked open, its shell transforming into radiant wings. The Winged Dragon of Ra burst forth in a blaze of sunlight, as if it had illuminated the earth since ancient times.

[The Winged Dragon of Ra, ATK?]

”Sphere Mode’s effect: When the Winged Dragon of Ra is Special Summoned by tributing Sphere Mode, its ATK becomes 4000!” Kira said.

[The Winged Dragon of Ra, ATK 4000]

The Three Wicked Gods began to stir.

The Eraser: ”It really came! Big bro, it’s really the Divine Beast! It hasn’t disappeared after all…”

Avatar replied coldly, ”I see it. I’m not blind.”

Dreadroot added seriously, ”Not just Obelisk, even Ra is still here…”

Things were nothing like they’d originally imagined.

Now, only Slifer hadn’t reappeared in the world.

Of course, maybe it was just because the other two didn’t want to play with the ”pit-digging traitor dragon.”

”Winged Dragon of Ra, direct attack!” Kira shouted. ”God’s Breath—Blazing Cannon!”

Golden streams of light gathered behind the Winged Dragon, forming a burning sphere like a miniature sun. The torrent of energy surged into the Dragon’s mouth, compressing light and heat to their limits before unleashing a flaming cannon that tore through the void!

Now, the Wicked Gods’ field was empty, about to be struck by the Divine Beast’s attack.

The Eraser shouted anxiously, ”Big bro!”

”Shut up!” Avatar snapped. ”Activate set card! Trap Card—’Enchanted Javelin’! When an opponent’s monster declares an attack, restore life points equal to its attack!”

[Wicked God, LP 2000 → LP 6000]

The next moment, Ra’s divine flame struck, nearly blowing away the Wicked Gods’ duel avatars. Their avatar screamed as it was swept into the golden vortex, almost torn apart.

[Wicked God, LP 6000 → LP 2000]

The Divine Beast’s cannon was no joke—4000 damage output, and even the Wicked Gods were left battered and nearly erased.

But at least, in terms of the duel, they held on—life points unchanged.

”So, traps are ineffective against Gods, but you used a healing effect to block the attack. Not bad,” Kira smiled.

”Then, I set a card and end my turn.”
