Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

Wicked God: ”My turn, draw.”

The three brothers had just faced Ra’s overwhelming blast. Although their LP was untouched, they were left battered and humiliated.

Their side was empty, while the enemy’s Winged Dragon of Ra hovered arrogantly on the other field. Add in their opponent, who looked harmless but was actually as cunning as they come, and it only made them angrier.

The duel had gone nothing like they’d expected.

They’d thought that their big brother, the Avatar, plus the combined power of all three Wicked Gods, would easily crush a mere human with no reincarnation background.

But who could have predicted a lockdown-loop, and then that anti-human ”bird egg” card, and now even the true God itself was here.

On their side, the three Wicked Gods’ grand formation had become nothing more than fodder for the Winged Dragon of Ra. Now, they were being relentlessly pressed—truly pathetic.

If Ra weren’t floating on the other field, any bystander would have trouble telling who the real Wicked Gods were.

This couldn’t go on!

This turn would be the counterattack!

Seeing the card he’d drawn, the Wicked God’s eyes narrowed, and he declared, ”Now, I activate the Spell Card ’Spider Web.’ I can retrieve a card sent to the opponent’s graveyard in the previous turn.” (Anime Card)

Kira: ”Going to use one of my cards?”

”I want to retrieve…”

The Wicked God slowly raised his hand, pointing forward. A white, transparent web shot out, grabbing a card from Kira’s graveyard and pulling it back.

”Spell Card: ’Card of Demise’!”

”And now, ’Card of Demise’ activates!” the Wicked God declared. ”Draw until I have five cards in my hand! But at the fifth Standby Phase after activation, I must discard my entire hand.”

He deliberately emphasized the severe side effect—the key to using the card.

The Wicked God drew back up to five cards.

”Next, I activate ’Pot of Avarice.’ Return five monsters from my graveyard to the deck, then draw two cards.”

Five monster cards popped out of his graveyard, all three Wicked Gods among them.

”I return ’The Wicked Eraser,’ ’The Wicked Dreadroot,’ ’The Wicked Avatar,’ ’Darklord Edeh Arae,’ and ’Darklord Ixchel’—five monsters—back to the deck. Then I draw two cards!”

All five were shuffled back, and the deck auto-shuffled. The top two cards popped out; the Wicked God drew them.

”Now, in my hand, ’Darklord Nasten’ activates. By discarding two other ’Darklord’ cards, I can Special Summon it from my hand!”

The Wicked God discarded two cards.

”Special Summon—’Darklord Nasten’!”

A dark, burly Darklord appeared on his empty field.

[Darklord Nasten, ATK 2600]

”Darklord Nasten’s effect: pay 1000 LP, then choose a ’Darklord’ Spell/Trap in your graveyard and gain its effect!”

This was a common effect among high-level Darklords, just like Ixchel’s earlier effect.

”I’ll use the effect of…”

The Wicked God revealed a ’Darklord’ Spell in his graveyard.

”Spell Card: ’Darklord Contact’!”

Jaden: ”Huh? That card again? But didn’t Ixchel’s effect shuffle it back into the deck earlier?”

Yubel replied, ”You forgot? Just now, Nasten was summoned by discarding two ’Darklord’ cards from hand. There’s no restriction that they must be monsters.”

Jaden realized, ”So he just sent Darklord Contact back to the graveyard!”

[Wicked God, LP 2000 → LP 1000]

”Darklord Contact’s effect: Special Summon a Darklord from the graveyard in Defense Position.

Revive ’Darklord Superbia’ in Defense Position!”

[Darklord Superbia, DEF 2400]

”Superbia’s effect: when Special Summoned from the graveyard, Special Summon another Darklord from the graveyard except Superbia.”

He drew another Darklord from his graveyard.

”The other Darklord I just discarded for Nasten’s cost—come back! ’Darklord Tezcatlipoca!’”

[Darklord Tezcatlipoca, ATK 2800]

”In a flash, he’s gathered three high-level Darklords again. That’s amazing,” Jaden couldn’t help but praise, then added, ”But even so, three Darklords are no match for a Divine Beast.”

Kaiba said coolly, ”This duel is already a war of gods. His goal isn’t just these monsters.”

Jaden paused, then realized, ”You mean, he’s drawn—”

”Activate Continuous Spell ’Precious Cards from Beyond!’ When I tribute two or more monsters for a Tribute Summon, I draw two cards from my deck.”

The Wicked God declared:

”I tribute ’Tezcatlipoca,’ ’Nasten,’ and ’Superbia’—all three Darklords!”

Sure enough, the Wicked God bellowed out:

”Devour the world, erase all, return everything to nothingness—the God of Destruction—

—The Wicked Eraser, return!”

All three Darklords vanished as tribute. Endless darkness coalesced into form again. The Eraser, God of Destruction, brought the end to all things!

[The Wicked Eraser, ATK?]

Kaiba said gravely, ”As expected.”

At this point, it was only natural the enemy would go all out, using the Wicked God for the final showdown. Besides, without the Wicked God, he’d have no hope of fighting Ra.

Jaden said, ”But the Eraser’s ATK depends on the number of cards on the opponent’s field. Kira only has Ra and a set card.”

[Eraser, ATK? → ATK 2000]

Also, the Eraser is a lesser god—even its field-wipe effect can’t touch Ra. This had been proven earlier.

So tributing three high-level monsters for the Eraser now wasn’t wise—the Wicked God was no threat to Ra, just a waste.

Unless—

Jaden’s heart skipped a beat.

Could he have that card in hand?

”Precious Cards from Beyond’s effect: since I performed a Tribute Summon, I draw two cards. Next—”

The Wicked God raised another card high.

”Spell Card—

—Divine Evolution!”
