Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”Tributes? Don’t you have all the tributes I need on your field?”

The three Wicked Gods: ”???”

Already summoned, they looked at each other, seeing only confusion and an unspoken anxiety.

In the next moment, Kira swept his hand.

”I use your field’s ’The Wicked Avatar,’ ’The Wicked Eraser,’ and ’The Wicked Dreadroot’ as tributes to summon the supreme God!

The ever-changing flames of heaven and earth, burning away evil, turning darkness into light—

—The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode, summoned!!!”

As his words echoed, three pillars of flame shot into the sky, each enveloping an Wicked God. The three brothers howled, whether in pain or rage, lashing out with claws and tails in a desperate struggle.

But it was useless. Their deepest darkness was reduced to ash by the flames. Their divine attacks were nullified by the blazing wall.

Though it was all within the rules of the duel, at this moment it felt as if a single God’s power was effortlessly suppressing all three Wicked Gods.

All were tributed!

The three Wicked Gods vanished in the flames, the pillars merging into one, piercing the sky.

Golden light shattered the darkness, so dazzling that even the evil shadows shrieked, their eyes stinging as if they would cry.

Wherever the golden light reached, darkness melted away like snow, making everyone feel the heat on their skin. The dark arena howled as a golden storm swept through.

Then, the holy being descended.

Round, smooth, like a golden sphere, burning like the sun.

Kaiba was stunned, his eyes dazed.

The Winged Dragon of Ra.

And in this form, too.

He remembered it well—the first time he saw Ra, it was like this.

Back in the original Battle City quarterfinals, Marik’s Winged Dragon of Ra was a mystery to everyone. Mai Valentine stole Ra from Marik, gathered the required tributes, and tried to summon it for a comeback, but didn’t know that only those of the chosen bloodline could control Ra, and an ancient chant was needed.

Mai had neither, so Ra appeared in Sphere Mode—just like now.

Even so, Kaiba never imagined that, years later, someone would make Sphere Mode a real card, with such a mind-boggling summoning condition—

Tributing the opponent’s monsters!

Jaden couldn’t help but admire.

”I thought I was awesome for fusing an Wicked God, but Kira is even better—he ate all three at once!”

Meanwhile, the three Wicked Gods exploded with rage.

All three of them were tributed—to their lifelong nemesis, the Winged Dragon of Ra!

This wasn’t just a loss in a duel, but a humiliation on a divine, personal level!

Avatar was furious. ”Damn you, Winged Dragon of Ra! How dare you—!”

”Calm down, big bro,” Eraser consoled. ”Dueling is all about composure. Look at me—I just got fused last round, now I’m a tribute. And yet—”

Avatar: ”Shut up, you useless trash!”

Eraser fell silent.

”No need to get so worked up,” Kira said with a smile. ”It’s a God, the supreme God! I’m giving it to you—the control is yours. Aren’t you grateful?”

The Wicked God glared, but said nothing.

His eyes said it all.

I thank your ancestors for eighteen generations, I thank you.

Fine, you want to play like this?

The Wicked God gritted his teeth, then snorted coldly.

”Don’t get cocky yet,” he said darkly. ”You forgot about The Wicked Eraser’s effect!

When that card is sent to the grave, all cards on the field go with it!”

With that, Avatar gave the order.

”Eraser!”

At his command, a wave of darkness erupted from the graveyard, forming Eraser’s shadow. With a low growl and a swipe of his claw, endless darkness unfurled, its suction threatening to swallow the golden sun above.

But in the next instant, blinding light burst from the sphere. The darkness was instantly dispersed, unable to touch the golden orb.

”Just as I thought.”

Kira smiled.

”Remember? Lower God effects don’t work on higher Gods. Ra is an equal to Avatar—Eraser’s effect is nullified.”

Yes, the card doesn’t actually say that, but that’s just how it is.

Kira figured that under normal circumstances, his ”egg” wouldn’t have this power. After all, it was a self-made card, carrying only a fragment of Ra’s power, not the real thing.

But today was different.

Today’s opponents were Ra’s old nemeses, the three Wicked Gods. This was about divine pride. If the real Ra’s spirit sensed this—no way would it let itself get eaten by a lower God.

He had just tributed all three Wicked Gods to summon Ra’s Sphere Mode. That was a huge win for Ra’s reputation. So even if Ra’s spirit wasn’t normally in this card, it would be now.

With Ra’s true spirit present, Eraser could do nothing.

So, when Eraser unleashed its full power, Ra’s Sphere Mode just floated there, unfazed, as if bathing in black flames.

Avatar cursed, ”Useless! Can’t even do this much—what are you good for?”

Eraser, now in the graveyard, was aggrieved.

What do you mean, can’t even do this much? That’s Ra, equal rank to you! If I could beat it, that’d be insane!

Wicked God calmed himself and snorted.

”But your other puny monsters can’t withstand it,” he said.

Kira nodded, showing the two monster cards from his duel disk.

”Gearfried the Iron Knightand Fire Princess are both sent to the grave by Eraser’s effect.”

At least now, his field was also empty.

The Wicked God’s gaze sharpened.
