Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”So… how about this next move?”

Kira smiled as he spoke, making the Wicked God tense up again. The three brothers all felt the same unease.

Another new move?

None of them realized it, but their mentality had already started to shift during this duel.

Especially with Kira’s tone and expression—an odd confidence, a playful smile, and a look that seemed to anticipate their reaction.

Even the surrounding darkness, the pitch-black background, and swirling mists made his smile seem even more sinister.

But the problem was…

Wasn’t this dark arena supposed to be the Wicked Gods’ home turf?

Why did it feel like their own evil aura was resonating with his?

”I activate the Spell Card, ’Obligatory Summon,’” Kira said. ”Choose one monster on your opponent’s field. Your opponent must Special Summon as many monsters of the same type as possible from their Deck.” (Anime Card)

Jaden: ”?”

Kaiba: ”??”

Wicked God: ”???”

Actually, Kaiba knew this card best. Not only was it used in the anime series, but he designed it himself.

At first glance, it seems pointless. Choose an opponent’s monster, and your opponent must Special Summon as many monsters of the same type as possible—such a powerful search and summon effect seems odd, but with the ”opponent’s monster” restriction, it becomes strange.

But Kaiba had his reasons for creating it: it was specifically designed to counter Atem’s three Egyptian God Cards.

If Atem had one God on the field, Kaiba could force the other two out with this card. When all three were present, Kaiba would activate his God-specific Trap, ”Pyramid of Light,” banishing all three Gods at once.

That was his anti-Gods strategy in the movie ”Pyramid of Light.”

Kira had often rummaged through KaibaCorp’s storeroom, so having this card wasn’t surprising. But what was he planning now?

Currently, only two Wicked Gods were on the field. Using Obligatory Summon could only target the Wicked Gods, and the only remaining one was The Wicked Eraser. Kira was clearly trying to help his opponent gather all three Wicked Gods on the field.

This was just like when Kaiba faced Atem. But now, Pyramid of Light was gone, and Kira clearly didn’t have it.

The Wicked God realized the same thing and burst out laughing.

”I don’t know what you’re planning,” the Wicked God said loudly, ”but in all my years, I’ve never seen anyone voluntarily help us gather all three brothers.

If you’re so eager to die, we’ll grant your wish!”

The Wicked God raised his duel disk. Darkness surged around it, and a beam of dark light shot from his Deck, forming a black waterfall that soared into the sky!

The darkness solidified.

Razor-sharp claws, a body bathed in black flames—a force capable of destroying all descended.

The Wicked Eraser appeared!

[The Wicked Eraser, ATK ?]

All three Wicked Gods were gathered, their auras amplifying each other.

Even as a spectator, Kaiba felt the pressure of their combined presence, flashes of the past flickering in his mind.

When Atem still wielded three Gods, facing all three was terrifying.

But in the end, Kaiba never broke through that formation.

He fell silent, his gaze shifting to Kira.

As the new Duel King, Kira, can you challenge the three Gods united?

Kira answered almost immediately—perhaps even too quickly.

”So that’s your plan: to use Eraser’s effect,” Wicked God said. ”Special Summoned Wicked Gods must be sent to the graveyard at the end of the turn.

And when The Wicked Eraser is sent to the grave, it drags all other cards on the field with it. You want to use Eraser’s effect to clear the field, don’t you?”

Jaden realized, ”So that’s it! As expected of Kira—using the opponent’s downside as a solution...”

”But no way!” Wicked God interrupted proudly. ”My Wicked Avatar is the highest Wicked God. The effect of a lower God is useless against me! Even if Eraser’s effect activates, I’ll be unharmed!”

Dreadroot wanted to speak but held back.

Bro, you might be fine, but I’ll be wiped out...

But he didn’t dare say anything, so he just glared at Eraser.

Copying the Traitorous Dragon, specializing in backstabbing your own team for thirty years, right?

”I activate the Spell Card, ’Double Summon,’” Kira continued. ”This turn, I can Normal Summon twice.”

He had already Normal Summoned Fire Princess this turn, so with Double Summon, he could summon another monster.

Wicked God: ”?”

He thought Kira wanted to use Eraser’s effect to clear the field, which would also send all of Kira’s cards to the grave. In other words, anything Kira summoned now would be destroyed at the end of the turn.

But now he wanted to use Double Summon for another monster—wasn’t that a waste?

Was he up to something else?

Wicked God felt uneasy.

Especially when Kira slowly drew out a card from his hand, and a golden light burst from his chest!

Even Kaiba’s pupils shrank at the sight of that familiar golden glow and the surge of power.

The energy gathered at his chest, forming an upside-down triangle.

A Millennium Puzzle-shaped object!

”If the opponent is an Wicked God, then it’s only fitting to use this.”

Kira raised the card, its radiance so blinding that the card art couldn’t even be seen. The golden light pierced the darkness, making even the thickest shadows seem fragile.

”Impossible!”

The Wicked God instinctively raised his arm to block the light, shouting in disbelief.

The God Cards were gone from this world—how could a mere mortal wield the power of a God?

Besides—

”You only have two monsters on your field!” the Wicked God shouted, straining against the golden light. ”Not enough tributes!”

”Tributes?”

Kira chuckled.

”Don’t you have all the tributes I need on your field?”

The three Wicked Gods stared, dumbfounded.

Huh?
