Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 248: Chapter 247:Dante Vs Valen(4)

There wasn’t an ounce of panic as the old man came face to face with an existential threat like the singularity.

He merely raised his blade,

”First form...”

”Oh no you don’t...”

”Freeze....” The entire area around him changed drastically, heat being siphoned immediately, as his motion slowed by just a fraction, but it was enough....

Whaaam!!!!

His figure was immediately swallowed up by the singularity as it spun wildly, energies blasting out of it, destabilizing the structural integrity of the surroundings...

My right arm’s form changed, as the burning limb’s temperature dropped, the white flames giving way to an abyssal black ice that didn’t just freeze, it took away the concept of movement from wherever it passed, It looked quite similar to the ones Cara had been using, but infinitely more sinister..

I clasped both hands.

One hot.

One cold.

A mini singularity being born within my clasped hands.

Slowly, I pulled them apart as all matter began getting sucked in.

I wasn’t foolish enough to believe the old man would be done in by the singularity behind me.

Yes. It was made to end all things that went into it.

But that was subjective based on what exactly it devoured, and right on cue,

”Dead at the gates....”

Shing!!

A single slash came hurtling out of the spiraling death circle, splitting the singularity in two, as the old man’s figure burst out of it...

”Heh! Old man! Catch...” I wasn’t about to give him respite, not with those nasty ass forms of his, so, I threw the mini, compressed death circle at him.

Now, this would be where dramatic actions would have taken place, but with Inevitability in the mix, the attack had already landed before I threw it...

SNAP!

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

The compressed death circle exploded.

Wild blazing hot white flames bursting out breaking down the environment in searing heat, yet at the same time, Freezing temperatures turned the entire place into a an icy hell devoid of heat.

It was a contrast that was making even me confuse, as both cold and hot were existing simultaneously..

I could see the area the attack had struck fall into a visible disarray, this wasn’t a collapse, no, the world itself seemed to be in a state of confusion from the mixture of energies running wild,

[You have gained insight into the [SUPREME LAW]....

”Wha..?” Before I could even begin to try understanding what I was seeing,

”Second form....”

The old man’s sinister voice echoed right behind me,

”Vanishing death...”

.....

...

”Yea, how about no?” The figure that was struck instantly crumbled into frozen pieces as my own figure materialized behind the old man, Elira swinging down in a heavy arc,

”Cleave!” Her bladed edge had been engulfed by white flames as I struck with all the force I could muster..

Pshhhhhhh!!!!!!!

A spray of red hot blood splashed against my face as I instantly retreated...

.....

..

A heavy silence fell upon the place as I watched the old man’s arm, for the second time today, get severed cleanly..

I steadied myself, eyes focused, waiting for any sudden movements...

”I said I wasn’t going to underestimate you...” the old man began, his arm being made whole once more.

”Yet even now, It still feels like I am...” he raised his massive sword, a sinister aura drifting out of it, ”alright..”

The mood turned heavy immediately.

”You wanted a fight,”

RIIIIPPPPPP!

The white bandages on the blade undid themselves as they wrapped themselves around the right arm wielding the weapon.

”I shall give you a proper fight.” He pointed the crimson blade at me, his indifference vanishing as his face turned cold.

”Come!”

........

”What... what am I looking at here?”

Tian was about to lose his sanity as he watched the back and forth between the two.

”How... how is any of this possible?”

”Perfected law state...” Dakota muttered in absolute surprise...

The events that had occurred between the two, despite taking long to describe, had happened in less than five seconds.

Five seconds of absolute madness.

”This boy....”

”You wanted a real fight, I shall give you a proper fight, come!” Tian’s words were interrupted by the voice of valen who had already freed his weapon.

”He’s.. actually going to use his sword.”

”Umm... Raven, I think now would be a good time to , you know,” The large dragon requested..

”Indeed.”

SNAP!

With a single snap of her fingers, space expanded as the area the two were in became much, much larger, yet the two combatants seemed utterly oblivious to whatever was going on as the tense stare off, was finally.... Broken.

.....

”Come.”

The moment I heard those words, an uncontrollable surge of excitement welled up within me.

This was it.

Someone that didn’t break from a love tap.

Someone I can fearlessly test my limits on.

”Finally....”I breathed out, a torrent of flames blasting out my mouth..

Elira’s form shortened, becoming six foot, her axe head elongated and curved inwards until its tip was touching the butt end of the shaft.

She had transformed from her halberd form into a half-crescent, six-foot long, golden blade..

I held her vertically before me...

”Old man....” I was already before him as my words came out, ”I AM HERE.” A cleaving strike fell like judgement, Inevitability making evasion an impossibility, but he didn’t evade..

CLANNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

”I don’t know what laws you’ve comprehended to achieve such ridiculous powers, but if you think it’ll be enough.....”

SWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!

Another cleaving strike came from behind him, aiming to take his head off mid speech, he ducked, only for his face to make contact with my knee..

BANG!

His figure went flying as I gave chase, taking a single step, space folded as I appeared right before him, just to come face to face with a thrusting sword aimed at my head.

My eyes flashed, the attack froze, my weapon fell....

CLANNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

His blade had somehow still interrupted my attack, I wasn’t phased, it would be foolish to think I could defeat the old man that easily...

[Timeless series..]

The world froze...

...

Past timeline..

The moment the old man got sent flying, my form materialized right behind him, avoiding the piercing blade that had disrupted my sequence, a smile appearing on my face, ”gotcha...”

”Indeed...”

Wooooshhhhhhh!!!!!!

The sound of air splitting behind me echoed in my ears as the world was split into two once more...

”Fu... fuck...

....

Present timeline.

[Timeless series]...

The world glitched as reality corrected itself, only this time time, the outcome was different..

As the world righted itself, my form reappeared, bisected cleanly in two with the old man right behind me, blade raised, ready for another strike,

PSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Only for his sword wielding arm to come sliding off..

His eyes widened as my bisected figure smiled, a bloody psychopathic expression, its figure slowly crumbling away and then,

Blink!

The world blinked once again, reality righting itself once more,

”Old man, I already told you.... This is just the tip of the iceberg..”

***********

A/N: man, I want this battle to be as epic as ever, so forgive me if it’s taking too long... In my head it wasn’t this long, but like I said, you never know what you get until you start writing, but as always,
