Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 237: Chapter 236:Despair.

[Your bloodline has successfully assimilated fragment of ...

[Your bloodline has successfully assimilated or the bloodlines, as it is merely a Cosmic grade bloodline.]

”Merely... you just said merely... what the fuck even is a cosmic grade bloodline?? And why the fuck are people prancing around with fragments of it?”

I was getting fed up.

It was one bombshell after another.

Primordial beasts.

Lifetree.

Now, I was hearing about Cosmic grade bloodlines, and this system was calling it ”merely”...

[Host need not worry. The system already has an idea of what might be occurring on your planet.]

”Oh? And pray tell o wise system, just what the fuck is going on?”

[The host should know that each world, solar system, galactic sector and so forth, are always governed by one cosmic force or the other, and these forces tend to have ”Trips” around their subordinate worlds, hence they leave traces, traces of their bloodlines on these planets whenever they copulate with the inhabitants.]

”So what I’m hearing is, some weird cosmic powerhouses had landed on terra and decided to go on a fucking spree, spreading their genes like freebies?”

[in your crude terms.. Yes.]

”First of all, you just dropped one massive exposition and expected me to treat it like nothing. Solar systems? Galactic sectors? Cosmic forces? Just what the hell am I supposed to do with this much information?”

[Host is advised not to play this game with the system.]

”Which game?”

[..]

The silence said more than words could.

It seems the system called my bullshit.

The existence of other worlds was already an open secret, now whether there has been anyone to explore them remained up for debate, but, if what I was seeing and hearing about these bloodlines were true, and if the families, specifically, those ancient families knew just what their bloodlines truly were, then I would be leaning heavily on the fact that they’d already explored outside..

I decided to drop the act..

”So, what you’re telling me now is..”

[The ancient families on terra, they’re likely bearers of an extremely diluted form of the bloodlines of the cosmic forces that lord over this galactic sector.]

Ancient families.

”Of course... it just had to be them..” the ones holding true power on terra, being the ones wielding diluted versions of some out-of-this world bloodlines? Seemed perfectly reasonable..

”Hooo.... Alright then.” The stage just suddenly got bigger, but, I wasn’t complaining...

It was better this way, it would make things a bit more interesting.

”Alright then, onto the next.” I ordered.

There wasn’t much to go off on anymore, and I was sure this system wasn’t going to bother explaining which force held the true bloodlines or how to trace them, so, instead of worrying about something I shouldn’t, it was better to move on with my agenda.

”In time..” in time everything will be made clear, and I had a feeling it wouldn’t be too long now...

And the next thing on my agenda was checking out my system interface, afterall I had already gone through all I could remember, but then...

[Ding!]

[You have gained insight into the [MAJOR LAW]...

[You have gained insight into the [MAJOR LAW]...

[You have gained insight into the [MAJOR LAW]...

....

”Hmmm? Hope? When did this ever happen?”

[DIng!]

[Sufficient understanding of the [MAJOR LAW] reached, You have begun gaining insights into the [SUPREME LAW].....]

”Wait...” my eyes widened slowly...

Despair..

Now this I recognized clearly.

Because this was exactly what Leo used to erase the three minions from the day before...

But, ”why did this come from Hope?” It didn’t make any sense..

”System...”

[Host should check his status for more information..]

Right...

For once, I agreed with the system, it was time I actually saw how all this reflected on my status interface...

”Status...”

I looked at my status, almost overwhelmed by the sheer number of things being displayed.

I had already gone through some of them earlier.

So at this moment, I was going to just focus on those that were truly troubling me, and what better way to start, than with..

”Despair...”

[Ding!]

[SUPREME LAW]:

...

A/N: damn! You don’t know just how much information needs unpacking until you actually start writing and the word count starts escaping you...

I’m trying not to revert to how the earlier Chapters were filled with info dumps but it’s looking quite likely..

I promise, an auxiliary Chapter will be put up after this, one displaying all of Dante’s stat growth and comprehension levels as the story progresses, that way, I can avoid multiple info dump Chapters like these..

Please bear with me..

The next Chapter should hopefully be done with it...

Also, if you spot any inconsistencies in his status interface, do tell..

Thank you and..
