Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 242: Chapter 241:Long Tian.

I tried, I was trying really hard not to laugh.

And believe me, it was extremely difficult, since not only was Valen, this old man, spotting two panda eyes, but he’d just gotten a matching swollen jaw to match, all while the old man refused to break out of his indifferent expression..

Proof that I wasn’t tripping was in the fact that the large man from earlier currently had his cheeks puffed up like those of a chipmunk...

”Tian, if I hear so much as a one snicker, you’ll wish you were back at the abyss..” the old man threatened..

”Please... please don’t talk, you’ll make it worse...” the large man was truly struggling, and his struggles had me struggling...

”Haaa... let’s just get this thing over with.” Valen sighed, seemingly already fed up with the whole situation...

”Dante.” The old man called out.

Instinctively, I stood straight, attention locked in on the old man.

”You asked me earlier how me and your aunt knew each other, but I believe you already know that, don’t you?” He asked instead of answering anything.

”Yea, I guess I should’ve already expected it,” I replied..

”Good, so I don’t have to go about giving any sappy backstory of camaraderie.”

”Heh! I wouldn’t expect you to, old man.” I laughed.

”Now, for the new faces you see before you,” he pointed at the large man, the one with the rainbow hair and draconic horns.

”This one is called Long Tian, according to your father, he is your uncle tian, he is, or rather, was, supposed to be the head of the dragon nest’s ”pest control”, that being a word they use to describe those who actively hunt down the Drakens.”

”He is what we call an Omni-dragon, which is essentially a dragon that has successfully integrated more than one draconic bloodline, they are few, and fewer still, those that have integrated as many as he has.”

”Yo! Little man, what’s up?” The large man, Long Tian, waved at me..

”It’s nice to meet you, uncle tian.” I smiled, already liking the large man, but one thing stood out about his introduction.

”What do you mean by integrated more than one draconic bloodline? And better still, how do I have a dragon uncle when my father’s family and dragons are supposed to be sworn enemies?” I couldn’t help but ask.

Weren’t people supposed to be having only one bloodline? Isn’t the only reason the Drakens were special because they could add one or two more bloodlines to theirs, due to their unique bloodline’s nature?

”Ahh.. yes, Ravena should’ve already told you about the specifics of the Draken bloodline, why they’re special.”

”The fact that they allow the Drakens to integrate draconic bloodlines into their own, makes them a force to be reckoned with, one that treats dragons as prey, but that same bloodline, in essence, makes them prey to dragons as well.”

”Huh?”

”Let me put it like this, little man.” Tian took over the conversation.

”Drakens, in their weight, can take a dragon’s bloodline and make it theirs, but what an ancestor of the dragons discovered, is that, when ever a Draken dies, the draconic bloodline they take, doesn’t perish with them, instead, it remains untethered for a few moments, moments where one who is lucky enough can assimilate with it.”

”And it’s not just dragons, anyone who is lucky enough to chance upon a fresh Draken corpse or is capable enough to kill one, has a high chance of obtaining a draconic bloodline. Why do you think they’re crazy about keeping their blood in the family? It’s because anyone outside the Drakens, unless they were of another ancient tier family, is incapable of protecting such an unfair advantage the bloodline grants.”

Reaching here, the dragon grinned, a wide, feral smile, ”but, then you have people like me that look at those pompous fuckers and says, FUCK! YOU! You want to keep something safe? Make sure you’re strong enough to do it, I’ve killed a number of drakens, enough so that I’m probably on their number one hit list for people they want to kill! Hahahahahahaha....” The large man laughed....

”Huh? Then how’d you become friends with dad then? If you say you actively hunted drakens, how’d you become close enough with my dad that he called you brother?”

”Haha... ackk.. cough.. cough..” the dragon choked, spiraling into a coughing fit the moment I asked that question..

”Fufufu... my love, that’s quite the funny story..” Aunt V giggled..

”Ravena, don’t you dare!”

”You see, Tian here got overconfident, having become a fearsome Omni-dragon, he felt himself invincible, and your father at that time was quite the hot topic, having just despatched his first Ancient level dragon, the Dragon’s nest was both furious and apprehensive at the time.”

She looked at Tian, the man looking like he was wishing to be anywhere else than here.

”Your dear old uncle Tian here thought himself the proverbial draconic savior, sent to liberate dragon kind from your father’s terror, he set out on a hunt, one aimed at taking your father’s life.”

”Their clash was something people talked about for days on end, and as someone who witnessed it, I can only say it was indeed a spectacle, for three whole days, they both fought, well, Tian here mostly got his ass handed to him on a silver platter, but the dragon was tenacious, refusing to stay down, the entire western part of the central continent’s geographical landscape changed forever because of that clash, but inevitably, your father was finally able to keep him down.”

She concluded..

”So if dad won, how’s the lizard still alive?”

”Hey! You little bastard, respect your elders.” The large dragon yelled.

Of course, I ignored him, fully focused on hearing my aunt’s account.

Afterall, it was infinitely better hearing things from a beauty than some large humanoid dragon in a hoody.

”Oh that? Well, I can only say it’s because your father is, and I say this with all the love I have in my heart for big brother, but, he’s a nutjob most of the time.”

”What do you mean?”

”What she means is, after that battle, regulus, that fool, looked at this bigger fool and went, ”hey, you’re strong, it’ll be a waste to kill you, so I’ll let this go just once” and then he let it go.” Valen inserted himself back into the conversation..

”I see, so that’s how they became close.”

”What? Not even close.” Aunt V laughed.

Valen picked it up before my confusion could deepen.

”This fool here, he didn’t leave, no. He decided to tag along on your father’s adventures, constantly challenging him to battles that saw cities burned and clans purged, the central continent flew into outrage due to the two fools, but they didn’t let up, at some point they turned hunting dragons and drakens into a game.”

”I’ll kill more drakens” this big fool challenged proudly.

”Not more than the number of dragons I’ll butcher.” The other fool accepted, and that’s how this barbaric relationship was formed.

That’s why we all have to suffer with the reality that this large fool you see here, is unfortunately the most powerful Omni-dragon on terra, and also the most wanted entity by both dragons and drakens alike, so I advice you not to claim you know him outside..”

.....

..

I just stared.

Dumbfounded.

That was a very strange way to create a bond, I’ll tell you that.

But nevertheless, ”damn! You’re quite the hot stuff aren’t you, old man.” I had to give it to the old dragon, that’s craziness on some whole other level...

”HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... of course I am! I am the Heavenly RAVAGER, after all...” the old dragon laughed boisterously...

”Humph, foolish, brutish old man!”

”Ack... damn, Dakota, can’t you be nice for once?”

”I’ll be nice when you stop being old.” The black haired woman sneered.

I turned my attention away from the laughing, now, embarrassed, old dragon, focus settling on the black haired woman.

She was beautiful.

Extremely so.

Her gothic make up, black hair with crimson highlights framing a face of absolute perfection.

The way her black dress hugged her figure, emphasizing those bountiful assets of hers, assets thay didn’t lose out in the slightest against aunt V’s.

I was trying hard not to stare at her beautiful figure too long, but as always, I failed miserably...

”Ahem!” The old man’s cough successfully pulled me from my trance.

”And the one you’re having a difficult time not ogling at, is called Dakota, Dakota Twilight.”

The old man introduced promptly, he still sounded indifferent, but I could hear a hint of disdain in his voice.

”Think all you want old man, I don’t care!” I thought shamelessly..

”Hey there Dante~~~~, it’s reaally nice to finally meet you.”

A/N: Well, bro’s finally meeting the gang, and what a wild gang they are...

Ran from one exposition to another, damn..

A/N(2): No. the Omni-dragon there is not a character, it’s just a title for dragons with more than one bloodline, I know many will be looking at someone suspiciously. Yes, I did come up with the title from his own name, deservedly, but the competition is still active lol, the top fan and GT gifter at the end of the month will still get their own exclusive characters..
