Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 236: Chapter 235:”What...?”

I just stared, wondering if what I’d seen was real, because there was no way in hell this thing just called me and idiot, right?

[Host is imagining things.]

Was the system’s mechanical reply, clearly trying to brush me off, but, I decided not to dive into that, not now atleast since there were bigger things to unbox, like,

”What the hell is a primordial beast?”

[Something the host has no need of knowing about as at this moment.]

”Fuck you! Why did you have to mention it if you weren’t going to explain anything?”

[Because, the host needs to understand that there are still things that are bigger than him.]

”What do you...”

Before I could finish that thought, the world went white for an instant, before everything returned to normal.

”Wha.. what just happened?”

......

The moment the system’s words resonated in Dante’s mind,

his title immediately flared up as his eyes turned chaotic and everything....STOPPED!

His eyes didn’t turn black, or white, or any other color of the spectrum, no! They turned Chaotic.

Within those swirling orbs of madness, creation itself could be witnessed.

The Big Bang!

The birth of planets, solar systems, galaxies and universes.

The deaths of planets, solar systems, galaxies and universes.

Even, the end of all creation itself, the edge of the void...

And then..

”What... did you just say?” A voice, one not belonging to Dante, one that seemed to come from the very breaths of existence itself, echoed through the stationary world..

[..]

Silence was all that greeted him.

”I ask you. What. Did. You. Just. Say?” The voice asked once more, an undeniable weight of authority evident in its tone.

[..]

”I am mother’s perfect creation, her most beloved child, an embodiment of chaos herself, I am her will, her origin, her SOUL, all the she had, all that she was, she has given me..”

”So. Tell me, what, just what, in all of pathetic creation could possibly be bigger than I?”

[..]

”I am the beginning.

I am the end.

I am all that is.

I am all that was.

There is nothing that can be, or will ever be, that shall stand above I.

For I AM THE SON OF CHAOS HERSELF, never forget that. EVER.”

A profound silence fell upon the place as Dante just stared at nothing, his eyes swirling brighter and brighter, worlds being born and destroyed within them, and then, they returned to normal, the world finally resuming its motion..

[..]

”Wha.. what just happened?”

.....

”Damn, why’d everything just turn white? And why did my title activate so suddenly?”

I couldn’t make heads or tail of what happened so,

”System, what just happened? Why did my title go off?”

[Host’s title was reacting to one of his newly acquired skills.]

My eyes lit up like a lamp.

”Which one? Show me!”

[The title deemed the skill unfit for evolution.]

”What?? That makes no sense!”

[..]

”Hey, you sham system, answer me!”

[..]

”Sigh... I expected better from you, anyway, where were we?” I shook my head, putting the strange conversation aside.

[Host was going through his backlog.]

”Yea, before you dropped a bomb and refused to explain more, stingy thing.”

”Alright, enough moping, let’s continue.”

[DING!]

[Chaotic comprehension activating...]

Ahh, so this was what’s next, I remember this one..

[You have comprehended the Four Fold Restrictions Array..]

”Four fold restrictions array..” I muttered quietly, delving into my mind, searching for that specific information.

The secrets of arrays and their functioning unfolded like a map in my head, combinations, arrangements, different tiers, the multitude of ways one can use them both defensively and offensively..

”Neat. Next!”

What? You thought I was about to have some epiphany about how I was wasting my comprehension by not learning arrays and alchemy and all that nonsense?

Why would I ever waste my time with those?

I already know clearly what I’m good at and that’s punching things, cleaving things, and eradicating filthy demons, I don’t need anything more complicated being added to my plate.

”Leave the arrays and alchemy to people with too much free time.”

So, ”Next!”

I casually glazed through the notifications that had appeared.

Following the sequence of events in my head, this should belong to that nosy Elowyn woman that couldn’t even react to save her life..

”I wonder what you have for...” I froze instantly the moment my eyes landed on it..

, ...>>

”No way....” It couldn’t possibly be...

”System...”

[Affirmative. It is exactly as you’re thinking host.]

”How?”

[..]

[I am... unsure..]

It seems even my system was starting to have doubts about this whole thing..

Because, the moment I read that line, Fragment of the Lifetree bloodline. My mind immediately went back to the earlier scene of me accidentally acquiring the fragment of what the system had called a primordial beast, and if even it seemed unsure of why I was seeing another such message then..

”What... what is the Lifetree?” I just had to ask, because I needed to know just what it is I had stumbled upon..

[The Lifetree is the starting point of all life in any universe, all life begins from it and all life shall eventually return to it, beginning their cycle of reincarnation.]

”Fuck...” that confirms it...

I’d just gotten my hands on the fragment of something ridiculous...

”But, why would an Elowyn even have this? What’s such a thing doing on terra?” This unboxing session was turning out to be quite the handful since I wasn’t just taking stock of my stats anymore, no.

I was starting to step foot into things that were monumentally bigger than anything I have been dealing with till now...

[Host.... You should check the other notification..]

A feeling of unease rose up my stomach the moment I read out the system’s message.

For the system itself to be telling me to check something out, then it must’ve been huge, so, steeling myself, I continued strolling down the streams of notifications...

I just stared in silence...

My expression frozen in utter shock.

Not once, not twice, but three times... Three times I’d acquired fragments of unknown bloodlines that had turned into something of a peak existence on this world.

And just when I thought it couldn’t get any weirder...
