The Sea Queen of 1985

Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Found Another Reason to Like Her

Leaving the dean’s office, Han Xiaoqing shook her sister’s arm. ”Sis, why were you so forceful this time? Aren’t you worried Doctor Zhao will try to cause trouble for us?”

Han Xiaorui sneered, her eyes filled with disdain. ”You’ve already rejected him several times. Has he backed off?”

Han Xiaoqing shook her head, her eyes furious. ”No. Once, he even cornered me outside the restroom. I had to yell ’Pervert!’ to make him leave.”

”See? You said it yourself—it was useless. Now that I’m here, I’m going to solve this problem once and for all,” Han Xiaorui said grimly. ”It’s a good thing I carry a portable recorder, otherwise it would have just been our word against his.”

Han Xiaoqing thought for a moment, then said, ”Sis, you’re amazing.”

Han Xiaorui smiled. ”I wouldn’t go that far, but one has to learn how to protect themselves. I’ll buy you a new one later to keep on you.”

”Okay!” Han Xiaoqing didn’t refuse. ’I need to protect myself and stop causing trouble for my sister.’

Just after Han Xiaorui and Han Xiaoqing left, Dean Zhao and the others turned to Doctor Zhao in anger. ”Doctor Zhao, it’s not a good idea for you to be at the hospital right now. Go home and rest for a few days.”

”Dean, I...” Doctor Zhao said anxiously. He couldn’t bear the thought of leaving such a great hospital.

’Other hospitals don’t have this many pretty female doctors and nurses.’

”You’re injured. You must go home and rest,” Dean Zhao said grimly. ”Or would you rather wait until you receive a court summons?”

Doctor Zhao was also intimidated by Han Xiaorui’s recordings.

He knew it wasn’t a major crime, but if he was actually sued—and they won—he would be completely disgraced.

’Ouch, that hurts. That damned woman, how is she so strong!’

Doctor Zhao slunk out of the hospital. He didn’t dare get himself checked out at his own hospital, so he went to another one instead.

Dean Li was also troubled. ”What should we do now? Everyone, speak your minds.”

Vice Director Zhou thought for a moment and said, ”Dean, if Doctor Zhao could just control himself, this wouldn’t be an issue!”

Dean Zhao was furious. ”The problem is that a leopard can’t change its spots! If he could control himself, he wouldn’t have caused all this trouble.”

Another vice director said, ”Why don’t we transfer Doctor Zhao?”

Dean Zhao looked troubled. ”I already talked to him about it last time, but Doctor Zhao refused.”

The men exchanged a look, then all cursed silently in their hearts. ’Does having a good family background mean you can do whatever you want?’

’Since Doctor Zhao is incorrigible, then let someone who can actually put him in his place be the one to deal with him.’

Liang Xiaoyu had been waiting by the classroom door, watching the children during their class. Seeing Han Xiaorui and Han Xiaoqing arrive, she asked, ”Did you deal with that Zhao fellow?”

Han Xiaorui nodded. ”Gave him a beating right in front of the dean.”

Liang Xiaoyu swore. ”Serves him right! What a piece of trash. He looks presentable enough on the outside, but he’s got such lecherous eyes. We’re not afraid of them. If he really goes too far, I’ll go back to my village, get a few dozen of our people, and we’ll block the hospital entrance to give him a beating!”

Han Xiaorui smiled. ”No need to go to all that trouble. I have my ways of dealing with him.”

Han Xiaorui also told Expert Wang about the matter. ”My sister is here with her children, and I can’t have anything happening to them at the hospital.”

Expert Wang snorted. ”Don’t worry. From now on, I’ll instruct the nurses not to allow Doctor Zhao into our department.”

”Then I’ll have to trouble you,” Han Xiaorui said gratefully. ’I was going to make a donation to the hospital, but I guess that can wait!’

After the class was over, Han Xiaorui took everyone to check on the ornamental fish shop.

Business was good, and they were slowly learning some valuable lessons.

In the afternoon, they took the bus home.

When the bus passed Ye Feng’s workplace, Han Xiaorui got off. ”You guys go home first, I have something to take care of!”

Liang Xiaoyu raised an eyebrow and smirked. ”Alright, we’ll head back first. By the way, are you coming over for dinner tonight?”

Han Xiaorui smiled. ”I’ll be there. Make some extra, Ye Feng might come too.”

”You got it!” Liang Xiaoyu laughed. ”Ever since my mother-in-law got home yesterday, she’s been trying to figure out what delicious food she can make with the things you gave us. Now she’ll have another chance to show off her skills at your place!”

Han Xiaorui’s eyes lit up. ”I couldn’t ask for more! I’ll definitely be home!”

Han Xiaorui stepped off the bus. She was wearing a green dress and low-heeled, soft-soled sandals, with a sun hat from the mall on her head and a small purse slung over her shoulder.

The person at the reception desk had seen Han Xiaorui before. ”Here to see our Director Ye?”

Han Xiaorui beamed. ”That’s right!”

”Just a moment, I’ll give him a call to check,” Uncle Wang said with a chuckle. ’This Ms. Han is really something else. She found several listening devices, and the reward this time is substantial—several thousand.’

Ye Feng had just gotten out of a meeting when he received the call from reception and hurried out.

”Xiao Rui, what are you doing here? I was just about to call you to come collect your reward money!”

Han Xiaorui was surprised. ”It’s already been approved?”

Ye Feng nodded, leading Han Xiaorui to get the money. ”Yes, just a moment ago. By the way, was there something you came to see me for?”

Han Xiaorui nodded and tapped her forehead. ”Ah, I’ve been a bit aggressive lately. I beat up the doctor who was harassing my sister at the hospital and raised hell in the dean’s office.”

”What?” Ye Feng was taken aback, torn between laughter and exasperation. ”Well, he had it coming!”

Han Xiaorui broke into a fit of laughter. ”Right? That’s what I think too. My sister rejected him five times, and he still had the nerve to keep harassing her.”

Ye Feng chuckled lightly. ”Okay, I’ll make a call to sort things out later. Don’t worry about it.”

”Of course I’m not worried.” Han Xiaorui patted the small recorder in her purse. ”I already told my sister to save evidence. He came to harass her again today, so he can’t complain about the beating he got!”

”I’m not worried about the hospital causing trouble. What I am worried about is my sister looking after three kids—she can’t possibly watch them all the time. Plus, she’s starting college in September. I want to hire a bodyguard for my two daughters.”

”It would be better if they were female, since my daughters are girls. I’d also like her to teach them some martial arts. Oh, and I need a driver, too. Someone with a license. I’d like to give priority to any of your retired army buddies.”

Ye Feng was surprised, but on second thought, it made sense.

’Someone like Han Xiaorui, who could donate a million yuan, certainly wouldn’t skimp on protecting her sister and the children.’

”I had a brother-in-arms from Henan. His family has a hereditary martial arts tradition, and he has two younger sisters who’ve also trained since childhood. They’re very honest and simple people. How about I send a telegram and have them come give it a try?”

Han Xiaorui nodded. ”Alright. And what about your brother-in-arms?”

Ye Feng paused for a moment. ”He was killed in action. I tried to send his family money, but they returned it. They said they have land and won’t starve, so they don’t need any handouts.”

Upon hearing that, Han Xiaorui was filled with solemn respect. ”Ye Feng, children raised with principles like that will always turn out well.”

”Ask them to come. The pay is three hundred yuan a month, with room and board included. I’ll provide twelve outfits a year, for all four seasons. There will be a year-end bonus of no less than half a year’s wages. And of course, their pay will increase as my income does.”

Ye Feng smiled faintly. He finally understood why he was so drawn to Han Xiaorui.

At first, it might have been her gentle beauty, but now, he was even more captivated by her fiery spirit—her loathing for evil and her clear, unwavering sense of right and wrong.

She was a woman of great principle, and her entire being seemed to radiate light.

That fiery personality of hers was like a brilliant firework—dazzling and bright.

Life with a person like that would certainly be interesting.
