Warhammer Divine Throne

”???” The Archbishop initially failed to comprehend what he had heard.

”!!!” Five seconds later, Vikma began to realize what was occurring in this most sacred place of the empire, within the cathedral defended by Combat Priests, Demon Hunters, and Ascetic Monks, a place he always perceived as absolutely safe?!

A feeling of indescribable grief and rage enveloped Vikma’s heart. The Archbishop held a golden command staff with one hand, and his golden warhammer with the other.

The Holy Sanctuary powerhouse Archbishop was utterly enraged.

Holy Sanctuary powerhouses are beings that have completely transcended the ordinary, especially to humans.

There are three characteristics of Holy Sanctuary powerhouses: first, longevity.

The lifespan of each Holy Sanctuary powerhouse can exceed three hundred years; each is a cornerstone of wealth for any faction.

Secondly, longevity with acute perception.

Besides longevity, Holy Sanctuary powerhouses are exceedingly difficult to kill; they can be defeated and injured, but killing them is a monumental challenge.

Just like the duel between Jules and Egil, if not for the mandatory resolution of champions’ duel, it would be hard for either to kill the other if one were to flee.

Third, unique powers.

Every Holy Sanctuary powerhouse possesses a unique special ability, unpredictable to many. Laine’s peculiar Spiritual Casting ability is believed to be his unique power.

And Vikma’s unique ability is the Power of the Twin-tailed Comet!

The flames of the Twin-tailed Comet fiercely burn on the warhammer’s head, with two red trails emitting intense heat.

Laine had already disappeared into the crowd, grabbing Tygris’s arm: ”Quick! Now’s the time!”

”Let’s go!” Tygris responded softly, and both quickly rushed towards the Holy Relic Hall.

”Ahhhhhhhh!!!” Ten seconds later, the Archbishop’s roar nearly pierced through the golden dome: ”Heretics!!!”

”Some Chaos scraps have infiltrated the empire’s most sacred place! Fight! My followers! For Charlemagne! For the Empire!” The Holy Sanctuary-power-level Archbishop Vikma unleashed terrifying energy, lifting the warhammer into the air. With the Archbishop’s roar, golden waves overturned all the pilgrims in the cathedral.

The sudden turn of events left all the pilgrims stunned.

This religious center of the empire and the headquarters of the Justice Church had been infiltrated by heretics!

”No one admits it?” Archbishop Vikma’s anger pierced the sky, forming a terrifying divine power vortex, with powerful divine art swirling within the temple. Golden waves blew away the winter cold in the hallways, while a large group of Combat Priests and Paladins rushed into the main hall front and back.

”Everyone! Kneel down!” The Archbishop roared at all the pilgrims in the main hall: ”Kneel immediately and accept inspection! We must ensure every heretic is tested on the pyre!”

Sounds of weapons unsheathing echoed, Paladins drew longswords and raised shields, Combat Priests wielded iron hammers, and Ascetic Monks gripped chain whips. All the visitors and pilgrims in the hall were forced to kneel, awaiting inspection.

Laine and Tygris did not undergo inspection; these two didn’t need to prove whether they were Chaos Cultists. Paladins and Combat Priests signaled them to quickly leave the hall, so Laine and Tygris seized the opportunity to slip out of the hall, hiding behind a tapestry in a corner of the corridor.

The space behind the tapestry was small, so Laine and Tygris squeezed together. Whispering, the Supreme Grandmaster said, ”There are still at least a hundred guards at the Holy Relic Hall!”

Laine nodded, ”Can your magic help?”

”In this situation, I can at most cast Confusion Magic on thirty people simultaneously!” Tygris whispered.

”Then let’s wait a bit longer!”

”Rattle rattle rattle~” Dense footsteps sounded continuously; the hall was already impenetrable, and the majority of visitors and pilgrims were forced to kneel, awaiting inspection.

At the time, among countless pilgrims, three wearing thick cloaks with hoods turned pale.

This pilgrim named Maxwell showed a look of disbelief in his eyes, trembling, exchanging glances with his companions, then lowering his head filled with horror.

Impossible! Absolutely impossible!

How did the Archbishop discover us!

This assassination plan had been plotted for over a decade. Every year, they cautiously infiltrated the Justice Church Cathedral, drawing and planning an assassination route.

After more than ten years, they successfully hid themselves, considered every guard and mechanism thoroughly, disguising themselves as the most pious believers of the God of Justice. Each year, they got closer to the statue of the God of Justice and Charlemagne’s golden statue. Now, the plan was nearing realization; but why were they discovered?!

Indeed, Maxwell and his two companions were Tzeentch Cultists quietly operating in Imperial Capital Brunswick. With its dense population and mixed diversity, in many dirty corners, there are shadows of small Chaos sects secretly operating. They carefully avoided Demon Hunters and Combat Priests’ pursuit, taking root in Brunswick’s slum areas.

They planned to assassinate Emperor Carl Franz on the Winter Festival’s day of worship! This promising young emperor was considered a huge threat by Chaos Cultists, especially in recent years, receiving considerable noble support.
