Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2086: Chapter 2087: Unifying the World (16)

Although his eyes were red, he couldn’t help himself as usual: ”Even though it’s broad daylight, I wouldn’t mind if we get into bed for a little activity.” He paused for a moment, ”I’m a bit excited right now.”

Ye Zhi immediately shot him a look: ”Are you asking for a beating? Hurry up and pound your medicine!”

Gong Juechen grinned slyly before continuing to pound the medicine.

Once the medicine was ready, Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi began to make the ointment. By the time the dark and sticky ointment was prepared, night had fallen, and without caring about the darkness, Gong Juechen took the ointment to find Feng Feiyan.

At this moment, Feng Feiyan was having dinner in the dining room with An Jing and the others.

As soon as everyone saw Gong Juechen arrive, they wanted him to join them for dinner, but Gong Juechen lightly patted the jar in his hand, ”While the ointment hasn’t solidified yet, Feiyan, quickly go back to your room, and I’ll give it a try.”

Everyone immediately knew it was to treat Feng Feiyan’s legs, and they all put down their bowls and chopsticks, guiding Feng Feiyan back to her room.

Although Feng Feiyan had grown accustomed to it, she was still deeply moved.

Gong Juechen asked Huo Qingyi and Wang Wenya to apply the dark ointment to both of Feng Feiyan’s legs, and he reminded them, as usual, ”If you feel anything, no matter what, even if it’s just a slight sensation, let me know.”

Feng Feiyan nodded: ”Alright.”

Huo Qingyi and the others finished applying the ointment to Feng Feiyan’s legs and then tied white cloth strips over them.

An Jing watched as Huo Qingyi and the others worked, then turned to Gong Juechen with a smile: ”You should stay for dinner.”

Gong Juechen replied, ”No, Zhizhi has already prepared dinner and is waiting for me at home. I’m just here to deliver the medicine.”

Seeing that Huo Qingyi and Wang Wenya had finished, Gong Juechen then said, ”Alright, just keep an eye on her. I’m heading back. If anything comes up, feel free to call me.”

”Thank you,” An Jing said sincerely.

Gong Juechen smiled and said, ”You really shouldn’t say those two words anymore. If Zhizhi hears it, she’ll scold me again. In our Zhizhi’s eyes, we’re already family.”

An Jing didn’t say anything more, just nodded with a smile. Yes, we’ve been family for a while now.

”Dad, let me walk you back,” Gong Le came over, hugging Gong Juechen’s arm with a cheeky smile.

Gong Juechen said, ”It’s just a few steps, do I really need you to escort me? You should keep an eye on my granddaughter, who’s even more mischievous than you. Don’t let her get into trouble again; last time, she scraped her hand, which really worried your mother.”

Gong Le decided not to escort him.

Once Gong Juechen left, An Jing said to Feng Feiyan, ”Feiyan, have a bit more to eat. You didn’t eat much earlier.”

Before Feng Feiyan could respond, Huo Qingyi washed her hands, turning to leave as she said, ”I’ll go get some food for her, let her eat a bit more so she won’t be hungry later tonight.”

”Dad, Mom, Qingyi is taking care of me. You all should go eat,” Feng Feiyan said warmly.

An Jing still couldn’t help but glance at Feng Feiyan’s legs and reminded, ”Let me know if you feel anything.”

”Okay,” Feng Feiyan replied with a smile and a nod.

Despite Gong Juechen treating Feng Feiyan for so long without improving her legs, everyone was once again hopeful, wishing this time Gong Juechen’s prescription would work on Feng Feiyan’s legs.

The next morning, Gong Juechen came into An Jing’s courtyard, munching on a cake, to inquire about Feng Feiyan’s situation.

An Jing happened to be in the courtyard; she saw Gong Juechen and shook her head: ”I asked when I got up. It’s been a whole night, and her legs are still the same. Your medicine probably didn’t work.”
