Chapter 2071: Chapter 2072: Special Episode: Xiyun, Unifying the World (Part 1)

Overwhelmed with grief, Feng Feiyan fainted when the coffins of the Emperor and Empress were delivered to the imperial mausoleum.

After residing in the Wufeng Imperial Palace for five days, Feng Feiyan’s sorrow finally eased a little.

As her mood slightly recovered, Feng Feiyan recounted the sibling bond with Feng Feiming and advised Zou Qian, Liang Zhiyao, and Sheng Qingfeng to assist Feng Feiming well, to which Zou Qian and the others all agreed one by one.

Zou Qian was once Feng Feiyan’s Empress, Liang Zhiyao and Sheng Qingfeng were once praised as Your Majesty by Feng Feiyan. Now, Zou Qian has been promoted from Vice Minister to Prime Minister, and Liang Zhiyao and Sheng Qingfeng remain Great Generals.

However, because Liang Zhiyao and Sheng Qingfeng are both talented generals, the Wufeng military camp is managed very well.

Zou Qian is a talented Minister... Also, thanks to them, Wufeng is now the strongest among the small countries.

Now that Zou Qian and the others assist Feng Feiming, Feng Feiyan has no worries.

After staying in the Wufeng Imperial Palace for another two days, Feng Feiyan then returned to Xiyun with Su Yi Jing.

Back in Xiyun, Feng Feiyan’s mood still could not fully recover. Losing just one is already painful enough, but losing two at once, Feng Feiyan could barely muster a smile, and when she did manage to, it looked worse than crying.

Everyone was very concerned about Feng Feiyan.

An Jing and Xiao Changyi’s home was very warm, where everyone lived happily together, and they took good care of Feng Feiyan. At first, Feng Feiyan was indeed still immersed in the emotion of losing both parents, but with time, she slowly came around, accepted everything, and regained her spirit to live well.

Seeing Feng Feiyan recover and able to genuinely smile again, everyone was relieved.

Life goes on as usual.

...

Young and ambitious, Feng Feiming had a great ambition. Upon ascending the throne of Wufeng, he began to contemplate unifying the world.

On September 29 of the year Feng Tianji died, ignoring the opposition from his ministers, Feng Feiming stubbornly insisted on using war to sustain the country, dispatching Liang Zhiyao and Sheng Qingfeng to lead troops to attack Wanqing Country.

Wanqing Country is closest to Wufeng Kingdom, and Wufeng had a strong army. With Liang Zhiyao and Sheng Qingfeng being excellent commanders in war, very soon, Wanqing Country was annexed into Wufeng. Subsequently, Feng Feiming then ordered Liang Zhiyao and Sheng Qingfeng to attack Nan Chi...

In less than three years, Wufeng had conquered seven small countries, including Wanqing and Nan Chi.

During this period, Feng Feiyan wrote many letters to Feng Feiming, persuading him not to continue like this, but Feng Feiming continued on his course, ignoring morality and attacking other countries.

Over nearly three years, Feng Feiming’s ambition to unify the world became known to all.

Now, if Wufeng conquers just one more small country, it will stand equal with Xiyun, and without the help of Slayer Tower, it’s uncertain who will prevail between Wufeng and Xiyun at that time.

After all, now both nations are somewhat the same size.

The problem is that outsiders do not know that there’s still a Slayer Tower behind Xiyun, but Feng Feiyan knows, as Su Yixing is the future Building Master of Slayer Tower, and An Yiqing’s father-in-law Gong Juechen is the current Building Master of Slayer Tower. If Wufeng attacks Xiyun, Slayer Tower definitely will not look on indifferently; this would undoubtedly be digging its own grave.

Not wanting her younger brother Feng Feiming to find his own end, Feng Feiyan decided to personally go to Wufeng, to persuade Feng Feiming to cease.

Su Yi Jing also didn’t want to face off against Feng Feiyan’s family, making it difficult for Feng Feiyan to be caught in between, so he agreed to let Feng Feiyan go to Wufeng to persuade Feng Feiming.

But An Jing was quite worried and said, ”Feiyan, you can go, but let Jing’er bring some people to accompany you.”
