The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1575: Chapter 630: Clouds with a Turn of the Hand (Part 2)

This is no different from directly blacklisting him.

Beside him, Jiang Dongyuan’s lips moved slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but upon seeing Xiao Wang’s sharp gaze opposite him, he held back.

”Chairman, is it really necessary to go this far?”

Lee Jeong-jae, who could no longer maintain his composure, stared hard at Zhou Wang.

”There’s no choice. You are the face of the YG Entertainment actors department. Your status means that I can only target you. You might just want to sit on the fence, but sorry, I won’t tolerate someone as unstable as you watching from the sidelines.”

Zhou Wang smiled, ”So, Jeong-jae, tell me, what is your choice?”

”I...”

For a moment, countless thoughts flashed through Lee Jeong-jae’s mind. There was the idea of outright siding with Park Jeongyun, relying on his connections and family background to fight Zhou Wang to the end, or even stirring his fans to overturn the table...

But as these thoughts flew by, he still couldn’t bring himself to say anything, possibly because Zhou Wang seemed too calm, leaving him unable to tell if Zhou Wang was bluffing or if his power was beyond imagination.

As Lee Jeong-jae remained indecisive, with even his lips trembling slightly, Zhou Wang suddenly waved his hand towards the door.

Having waited by the door for half a day, Sura quickly walked in and placed a bilingual Korean-English contract on the table.

”Or you can choose to sign this contract. Although it’s merely a draft, the resources inside should be enough for your new company to digest for a period...”

Sura substituted for Zhou Wang and softly spoke to Lee Jeong-jae in fluent Korean.

Lee Jeong-jae picked up the agreement to take a look inside. It included some cooperation terms with Huaxia Dahua Film and Television, roughly including the tilt of Huaxia film resources, the nanny-level expansion of the Huaxia market, the influx of Huaxia fans, etc...

The Huaxia market has consistently been the most valued market in Korea’s entertainment industry, arguably without equal.

Lee Jeong-jae might not need this, but his new company certainly does, and this is a top-tier contract that Korea’s three big agencies cannot offer.

Lee Jeong-jae felt a sense of relief, at least he didn’t have to struggle with choosing anymore.

Not daring to look at Jiang Dongyuan’s reaction, Lee Jeong-jae stood up, raised his glass with both hands, and downed the wine inside.

”Chairman, I toast to you!”

After finishing the drink, Lee Jeong-jae gave Zhou Wang a deep bow and was about to leave, but Zhou Wang called him again.

”There’s one more small matter.”

”Please go ahead.”

”I heard the company board is hosting a welcome dinner for me the day after tomorrow. Make sure to notify the actors department, no one can be absent.”

Lee Jeong-jae was startled, then deeply looked at Zhou Wang and bowed again, ”I understand.”

Once Lee Jeong-jae left, Jiang Dongyuan was the only one left in the private room.

Looking at the bodyguards at the door with a menacing look, Jiang Dongyuan felt like sitting on pins and needles.

At this moment, Zhou Wang, who lit a cigarette, suddenly reached out to Xiao Wang beside him, and Xiao Wang handed him Jiang Dongyuan’s previously collected mobile phone.

”I know who stands behind you. Talking to you this way, even if you comply, you won’t be satisfied, so... make a call.”

Zhou Wang tossed the phone to Jiang Dongyuan, smiling lightly as he spoke.

Jiang Dongyuan was momentarily dazed upon retrieving his phone, then glanced at Zhou Wang with a mysterious look, ”Chairman Zhou, are you sure you want me to make this call?”

Zhou Wang said nothing, merely gesturing for him to proceed.

Jiang Dongyuan looked at Zhou Wang’s unflappable expression and could not determine if Zhou Wang was blindly confident or simply ignorant...

Doesn’t he know Nine Stars Group’s status in Korea?

Though not comparable to a giant like Samsung, as a first-rate force in Korea’s black market, one of Seoul’s biggest local powers, Nine Stars Group’s influence is undeniable.

YG Entertainment, although one of Korea’s top three agencies, is just a small fry compared to the Nine Stars Group spanning multiple industries.

Of course, as the Vice Chairman of Nine Stars Group stationed at YG Entertainment, Jiang Xin isn’t a key figurehead within Nine Stars, but successive YG Entertainment Chairmen have dared not slight him simply because of the Nine Stars Group standing behind him.

Although unclear of Zhou Wang’s intent, Jiang Dongyuan took a deep breath and quickly dialed the number on his phone.

Ring~ Ring!

The phone rang for a long time with no one answering, and just as Jiang Dongyuan was wondering, the call finally connected.

”Chairman Jiang, it’s me, Dongyuan.”

As soon as the call connected, Jiang Dongyuan respectfully said.

He indeed has some familial relations with Jiang Xin; Jiang Xin is his distant uncle. However, despite that connection, Jiang Dongyuan seldom contacts Jiang Xin, knowing how busy Jiang Xin is. YG Entertainment is merely a part of his business.

There seemed to be some noisy sounds from the other side of the phone, and after a moment, Jiang Xin’s deep voice with a trace of impatience sounded.

”So it’s Dongyuan, what’s the matter?”

”Chairman Jiang, you recall you asked me to monitor the situation at YG Entertainment and assist Chairman Park when necessary... Now there’ve been some unexpected developments... Yes, I’m currently with Chairman Zhou Wang, and it’s he who asked me to call you...”

”Chairman Zhou Wang...?”

Jiang Xin confirmed as if asking.

”Yes.”

”...”

Then, there was silence on the other end, with all the noise disappearing.

Jiang Dongyuan almost thought the call ended, he checked the call interface, it’s correct, still in the call.

Why did Chairman Jiang suddenly go silent?

Though unclear, to emphasize the seriousness of the situation, after glancing at Zhou Wang’s unchanged expression, Jiang Dongyuan clenched his teeth and continued:

”Um, Chairman Zhou might have a little dissatisfaction with your involvement in the conflict between Chairman Park and him; he even confiscated my phone just now...”

”Dongyuan.”

Jiang Xin suddenly interrupted him.

”Ah, Chairman Jiang, please go ahead...”

”Agree to his terms.”

”What?”

Jiang Dongyuan didn’t understand at first.

”I said agree to his terms!”

Jiang Xin suddenly became agitated, almost growling, ”No matter what Chairman Zhou Wang asks of you, cooperate unconditionally. Do you understand?”

”...”

”Jiang Dongyuan?!”

”Ah, alright, alright, Chairman Jiang, I understand...”

In utter shock, Jiang Dongyuan glanced at Zhou Wang beside him, still bewildered inside, but he snapped back upon hearing Jiang Xin’s roar, hastily affirming repeatedly.

...

At the same time, at a riverside pier in Seoul River Port.

In a onesome large office converted from a warehouse lay groans, with dozens of members from the Nine Stars Group sprawled across the floor, stretching from the warehouse door to the office desk on the second floor. Young men in uniform black suits stood silently, faces cold.

Jiang Xin, one of the senior executives of Nine Stars Group, sat behind the desk. With a burly physique, even in a seemingly refined suit, his explosive muscles rendered his aura utterly fierce.

Yet such a renowned figure in Korea’s black market now wore a pale face with frightful eyes, staring at the ordinary-looking Huaxia youth before him.

Though accompanied by many, Jiang Xin could clearly see that all his men from the warehouse door to the second floor were handled by this one Huaxia youth alone.

Such incredible combat ability should only exist in movies starring Ma Dongxi; how could someone like this exist in reality?

But what truly unnerved Jiang Xin wasn’t the youth’s personal strength, but the business card left on the table.

”Tyrant Security Group.”

Jiang Xin couldn’t comprehend, for having established a strategic cooperative relationship with Samsung Group two years ago, Tyrant Security had long transcended the average black market power, standing as a supreme entity above Seoul’s various factions.

Having just ended the call with Jiang Dongyuan, Jiang Xin naturally understood why they appeared here. He considered it, yet unwillingly asked in English:

”What’s Chairman Zhou Wang’s relation to Tyrant Security?”

The youth, Gao Xing, was about to leave upon completing his task when he heard the question, which made him pause.

It seemed Zhou Wang hadn’t briefed him on how to address this question beforehand.

After brief contemplation, Gao Xing shrugged and replied in English:

”His orders are the will of Tyrant Security.”

Having casually dropped this statement, Gao Xing turned to leave, leaving the astounded Jiang Xin watching in place.
