The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1574: Chapter 630: Clouds Within the Palm

To be honest, Zhou Wang used to quite like the actor Lee Jeong-jae, mainly because he liked the movie called ”New World.”

In the movie, Lee Jeong-jae unifies both underworld and legitimate worlds, reaching the peak of his life, a true big boss. But at this moment, watching the slightly humble gesture of him pouring wine for himself, Zhou Wang felt that Lee’s image instantly collapsed.

But this is normal too; actors are also ”humans,” and as long as one is human, they can’t escape the drudgery of everyday life and the complexities of human relationships.

The world in movies is ultimately artistically processed. With Zhou Wang’s current experience and insight, he is very sure that even in reality, characters who reach the heights of the protagonist in ”New World” would still find times when they need to bow their knees.

Only Zhou Wang doesn’t have to... After all, he’s a ”cheater.”

”Jeong-jae, what’s the name of the new agency you plan to establish? Have you decided yet?”

Zhou Wang clinked glasses with Lee Jeong-jae, who was offering wine with both hands, and asked as if carelessly.

Lee Jeong-jae’s hand shook, almost spilling the wine.

Although everyone in the company knows he no longer plans to renew his contract with YG Entertainment, not many know about his plans to establish a new agency.

Rose knows, because he had personally visited Vice-Chairman Park Jeongyun to ask for help with the paperwork, but besides that, Lee Jeong-jae hadn’t disclosed it to anyone. He didn’t understand where Zhou Wang got the news.

Did Jin Zhixiu just tell him?

Lee Jeong-jae glanced at the intimate posture of the two and was just speculating when he heard Zhou Wang continue:

”Jung Yoo-seong is a good partner. If you two team up, you could indeed open up a new world in the Korean entertainment circle...”

At this moment, Lee Jeong-jae’s expression truly changed.

Jung Yoo-seong is also one of Korea’s top actors, but about his plans to partner with Jung Yoo-seong to start a company, he was sure he hadn’t disclosed this information to anyone, including Park Jeongyun.

”Jeong-jae, your idea is good, but if I remember correctly, your contract with YG Entertainment actually has 4 months left... A lot can happen in 4 months.”

Zhou Wang said with a faint smile.

Lee Jeong-jae remained silent, only forcing a smile.

On the one hand, because he genuinely didn’t know how to respond, and on the other hand, he felt vaguely disapproving.

Although he hasn’t decided to stand on Park Jeongyun’s side against Zhou Wang, even if he openly supports Park Jeongyun, given his current status in the entertainment industry, he also doesn’t believe Zhou Wang could actually do anything to him.

Even in the worst case, if Zhou Wang really defeats Park Jeongyun and wants to settle scores with him, he might not be able to resist due to the contract, but at most, he would just be sidelined for four months.

With his currently soaring fame and vast fanbase, disappearing from the scene for four months wouldn’t significantly affect his popularity.

Based on this, knowing that coercive means wouldn’t work, Park Jeongyun let Rose try to entice him.

However, just when Lee Jeong-jae was having such thoughts, he heard Zhou Wang speak again:

”There’s a company in Huaxia called Daxia Film and Television, and there’s a new project called ’Shadowless’ about to start; YG Entertainment will be one of the investors. You still have one film contract with the company, and I plan to cast you as the male lead. The formal invitation from Daxia Film and Television will arrive tomorrow...”

Lee Jeong-jae was startled.

He didn’t quite understand why the conversation about dissolving the contract suddenly shifted to a film project?

Although it felt a bit inexplicable, out of professional ethics, Lee Jeong-jae quickly responded: ”If it’s the company’s arrangement, I will certainly abide by the contract and take this final film project seriously. However, Chairman Zhou, I wonder when this movie is expected to start filming. If we go to Huaxia, I need to make some preparations in advance...”

”I don’t know.”

”Don’t know?”

Lee Jeong-jae was momentarily stunned. Normally, since it’s a cross-national collaboration on a film project, shouldn’t there be a comprehensive schedule plan from the start?

”Then, Chairman, is there a script?”

”I don’t know.”

Lee Jeong-jae’s expression began to change, yet he persistently made one last probe: ”What about the expected filming period...”

”Jeong-jae, I told you, I don’t know.”

Zhou Wang shrugged at this point, ”This film project is still in the preparation stage. Some directors in Huaxia are very perfectionist. For example, the previously released ’Divine Enthronement,’ you know that, right? That film took a full ten years from preparation to release...”

”Hmm, this project might be similar. The director requires all the protagonists to first attend a boot camp. As for the duration... it’s unknown.”

Unknown?

Lee Jeong-jae’s expression finally turned utterly unpleasant.

At this moment, he finally realized why this film is called ’Shadowless’...

It’s essentially a fictional film project!

His contract has two ways to complete: one is automatic termination upon expiration, and the other is completing the substantive number of film and television works.

And Lee Jeong-jae still has one more film contract with the company.

Zhou Wang made it clear to him that waiting for the contract to expire in four months is impossible; Zhou intends to trap him within the rules.

If he goes to Huaxia to participate in this potentially nonexistent ’Shadowless’ project, according to the contract, he must remain in the film crew until the project wraps up to complete his obligations.

In other words, as long as the ’Shadowless’ project doesn’t finish, he must stay with the crew, possibly for three years, five years, or even ten years...
